We have been staying at this bed and breakfast in for many years whenever we come to ski at Okemo Mountain (20 minutes away in Ludlow). The owners, Dan and Penny, are most welcoming. The living rooms and bedrooms are all clean and lovely filled with antiques. A delicious breakfast is served catering to dietary needs. The town of Chester is New England quaint with lovely small shops. We always leaving looking forward to the next time we will return.

My boyfriend and I stayed after a weekend of skiing for a relaxing evening as part of a joint Christmas present. We loved every moment of it! The relaxing tub, the cozy robes, the amazing breakfast- and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! (I also cannot stop thinking about the incredible waffles Dan made). Highly, highly recommend if you’re looking for a cozy, romantic getaway with your honey! On top of it all, I realized I had left some rings on the dresser once I got home. Dan sent them back as soon as possible which was above and beyond! Thank you Dan and Penny; we will be back! (:

From first contact with Penny to the minute we left, Penny was amazing, helpful, thoughtful, and kind. Terrific accommodation which felt like walking in history with updated amenities - especially if you like a featherbed. Plus, Penny accommodated early am breakfast for first tracks on the mountain. An amazing hostess, with the most fantastic French toast I’ve ever tasted. Thank you so much for having us Penny! Lisa & Chris, (01/8-9 2022)

We were there for New Year's 21-22. The featured event was a Mardi Gras Murder Mystery. Great Fun ! Dan and Penny, the innkeepers, are the family you wished you had. Penny is an excellent cook. The weather was gloomy, but socializing with the other guests more than made up for it. What an eclectic group of fascinating people. Not a dud in the bunch. Penny informed us that this was typical. Small town Vermont at its finest, straight out of a Rockwell painting, with a heaping dose of Victorian romance piled on top.

Just got back from a fall trip to Vermont and cannot say enough about Inn Victoria. Penny and Dan, the owners, immediately make you feel like family. They can’t do enough for you. We were able to go into the hot tub at night under the stars, engaged in wonderful conversations and enjoyed rum at night. Oh! And Penny’s culinary skills shine every morning at breakfast. I hope we get to go back! Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at Inn Victoria. Dan and Penny are friendly and welcoming. Our room (the Alfred) was spacious and comfortable. The breakfasts were awesome! Coffee and chocolate chip cookies (my weakness) always available in the lobby. My wife enjoyed the tea. The location was great, very short walk to the shops along the main street of Chester. This was our first time staying at an Inn. Our normal vacation is all about the things we see or do. This is our first vacation when I’ll actually miss the place we stayed!! Thanks Dan and Penny for helping to make it a great vacation!

My wife & I traveled to Chester, VT for the festival that takes place yearly on the town green. We stayed at Inn Victoria which sits at the end of the town green on Main St. We have stayed here a couple of times and have always enjoyed the charm, character and warmth of the inn. For my wife & I, the experience is similar to staying with family. Dan & Penny, the innkeepers, are wonderful people. They love what they do and it shows with their hospitality. In the summer months, the front porch is the gathering place to sit and enjoy conversation with other guests and Dan & Penny as well. It's also a great place for people watching. As townsfolk pass by walking their dogs or just out for a casual walk to the green. Dan & Penny know everyone. All stop to chat for a bit in this small community. Most guests have been here several times. They realize the special experience you feel after staying here. Our room "Princess Helena, was charming, very comfortable with a deck and direct access to the hot tub outside the back door. A comfortable king size bed with sheets and pillows made a good night's sleep easy. The easy access to breakfast & coffee is a plus to having a room on the first floor. Breakfast each morning was awesome. Everything is fresh from local farms. There's always a homemade pastry on the table to start your meal. We especially enjoyed eating at the large dining room table and conversing with other guests while Dan & Penny worked from the kitchen to serve breakfast, coffee, juice, & pastries. The afternoon tea is another favorite with guests. The homemade cookies are scrumptious! Our stay at Inn Victoria is always very special to us. I have yet to stay at another B&B where you are made to feel like family. It seems to come naturally for Dan & Penny. We look forward to returning next year and renewing our friendship.

Inn Victoria was a great stop over for us on out way to Littleton NH. The hosts were accommodating of our 11:30pm check and even wrote us a cute note. We had a great nights sleep in the Queen’s Attic room. The following morning we were served a warm breakfast with pancakes and bacon in the morning! Over breakfast, some of the other guests told us about an Inn walk where you walk 40 miles over a few days and stay in various inns. Sounds like a unique experience to ask about if you have a few days.
