The Ethan Allen motel is a mom and pop motel like we stayed in when I was a kid. These have become much more rare. EA has basic furniture, is not elegant, but the wifi, fridge and flat screen TV worked well and the couch and door lock were new. I have stayed there quite a few times. Dave Merrill... More

We got this room as it was the only hotel with availability during Columbus weekend. A definite "fixer upper "! If you're looking for a cheap, clean place to lay your head, this is the place. Don't expect much more than that. The esthetics were a bit dreary and worn. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful.

I've been in clean, basic mom and pop motels and that's what my wife and I were hoping to find here. At $85, the price was right. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The room was clean but threadbare and the TV didn't work -- which was a bummer, because we could have used it to... More

I found the property acceptable on prior stays, but was assigned an unacceptable room during a recent visit. I got a different room upon request for a modest increase in rate. Beware that not all units are in similar condition. I couldn't "unsee" the first room and was so grossed out that I thought about checking out early to move... More

The owner is very friendly. The room was super clean and actually included a small kitchenette, not just a microfridge unit--it actually had a stove! The TV sported numerous cable channels, not the flimsy 10-channel Direct TV as many motels do nowadays. The rooms are also very quiet. This is a great place to stay! The rates can be slightly... A basic mom & pop motel that has not been updated. It looked clean but didn't feel like it because it is so worn and dated. The staff was friendly and helpful. If it was remodeled and renewed, it would be a more enjoyable stay. Our room was towards the back off the highway so it was quiet and the... More

So, I've stayed at hoity toity hotels, motels, and hostels around the globe. To call this place a dump is really giving it a disservice. What we found when we stayed there was very hospitable counter staff and a very reasonable price. Yes the decor is dated, and it doesn't have anything fancy…but everything worked, and to our amazement the... More

My wife and visit Burlington, Vt several times a year to visit our grandsons and their parents too! Hotel provides us with very basic comfort with an applianced but unequipped kitchen. Shows wear and tear but has been owned by the same family since the 1930's. An affordable stay for the short time we spend in the room.

Very affordable especially considering we had a mini kitchen though we didn't request or use it for our 1 night stay. Sofa had probably been around since the 70s, torn and dirty. Water only trickled out the shower, more came out the tub spout than the shower head. Yes, towels for bathroom curtains but that works. Bed was comfortable.
