Was our first time here, and we were totally delighted! The pictures don’t fully capture how lovely this place is, with so many thoughtful and comfortable details throughout. We stayed in the beautiful Master suite, and adult kids stayed in the Lakeview room. We loved the on-site parking, very easy walk to town, the coffee, breakfast and snacks set out in the hallway serving station, and the great patio with night-time lighting for hanging out in the evening. We did not meet the owner, but we were completely happy with the communication and check-in process. Would definitely return!

We stayed in the Suite for four nights. We were looking for a place where we could do light cooking, walk to everything we wanted to see and be comfortable just hanging out, and the 254 fit the bill, while being less expensive than downtown hotels. We brought a good supply of our own food and amenities but stores are nearby. The Farmer’s Market rounded out our groceries and was fun to visit, and it took only a few minutes to walk to the Flynn to see Celtic Thunder. Self-sufficient travelers will greatly prefer the 254.

Room Tip: The Suite is bigger than it looks in the photo, more like a small apartment. It has a small deck...

After looking at the other accommodations in town, we choose to stay here in the lake view room because the price was much more affordable compared to other places. The house was well marked and easily found using GPS. The inside is all redone. Very nice. The lake room is a large bedroom with a bathroom that is completely updated. It felt very clean- linens were all clean and smelled freshly laundered. The bathroom was very clean, shower stall very clean- no mold anywhere. We saw Bill, the inn keeper everyday. He was very helpful getting us oriented to the town, giving advice on where to eat or go, and even lending us a bike pump once we realized that out bikes had no air in the tires. Bill seems like a guy where if you wanted to chat, he could talk. Or if you wanted to be left alone, he would respect that. There is a small area where there is a Kureg coffee machine, snacks, and drinks. Just enough stuff to get you through till you can get a bigger meal. The house is very walkable to downtown and feels safe at night. The only negative is that we drove our F350 up- parking is tight. If there were other cars we would not have fit. The mattress was older- squeaked and hard. And I do agree with another traveler that the outside could use a little more curb appeal. However, how much time do you spend looking at the outside of the house? We will stay here again when we come back up to Burlington.

Love the "suite" with private entrance and kitchen if you want privacy this is it as you will never see the hosts of this B&B The unit however was spacious and clean and modern bathroom -- which surprised us considering the run down look of the outside> Might stay again but needs a bit more welcoming attitude

Pottery Barn could do a photo shoot in this well-appointed, smartly designed, B&B. Bill made us feel at home right away. The "Suite" was perfect for us--I'm up with the birds & my husband likes to sleep late. Slept well in our comfy room & enjoyed coffee on the porch overlooking the lush garden full of butterflies. We walked all over town & rode our bikes to North Hero.
