We enjoyed a wonderful mini vacation with our two labs at Made Inn Vermont. We chose room 904 and had plenty of room for the four of us. Linda provided us great dinner recommendations for our evenings with and without the pups. Breakfasts were fabulous! We would not hesitate to return!

Love you for this kind review...all 'four' of you...(2) well-behaved humans and (2) WELL-BEHAVED DOGS! Come back soon and get the 'WE APPRECIATE YOU' returning guests break...call Linda directly. Kiss, Kiss and Belly Rubs for the Dogs! _______________________ Today, it's VOTE DAY. Woke up to a raid in FLA...and realized, even more, the dangers of not taking your laws back to the states! Who deserves that kind of raid? It's political abuse (my opinion). If they don't find what they want, are they going to plant it? UGH/TRICKY stuff here! Today, let us Vermonters vote to KEEP control of what is important to us in our state, and not turn-over our power to the overreaching politicians in DC. 'KEEP OUR FOOD AND LAWS LOCAL!' I would much prefer this to be the sign painted on the street in-front of the Flynn Theater downtown Burlington...just saying. :-) AND, please Vermonters...consider proper Voter ID as part of our state voting requirements; it's not really a novel thought...but rather an important reality! Linda's thoughts today; she is up and already talking on this by 6 am here with a cup of really strong 'kick-you-butt' coffee. You might want to stay at a 'patriot's Inn'? It's at least lively here! ---Linda in Liberal Land AND, GOD BLESS AMERICA...OMG! p.s.note: The home they raided...that person is fine, but would you be fine? He actually is standing in between them and us; this should showcase to you what we are really up against. Are you ready...because it could get really stupid...we already had Covid-hell for years... think about it.

Made INN Vermont is perfect. The innkeeper, Linda, has thought of everything. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The bed was especially comfortable (see photo for proof). We enjoyed checking out the books, games, records and instruments set up throughout the house. Our room and bathroom were spotless. We brought our dog along, and when we arrived, there were clean bowls, treats and a little toy for her. The breakfast was incredible—especially the blueberry pancakes. The inn is within walking distance of Church Street, the University of Vermont and the waterfront. Linda has an encyclopedic knowledge of the area and gives great recommendations. We can’t wait to come back!

Ah, look at James exhausted after his/her full Dog-Day...such a cutie! This review tells me you'll were coming from DC, hmm? I'm a DC Girl, A Santa Fe Woo-Woo Girl and PalmSprings, as well; for me hosting from my past lives...it is great nostalgia! For sure I'm not a Vermonter, not a Burlington Girl either, but I'm happy to host great guests anytime, from anywhere. Please call us whenever you wish to return...(as you'll all are UVM alumni...and certainly will want to return to visit your school and your many friends who could not leave our city after graduation); I will give you'll and the bulldog a special favorite guests returning rate. ---Linda

The Inn was not my cup of tea. For the rates, I would have expected a higher end experience. The rooms are filled with cheap furnishings. The throw pillows in our room were dirty and frayed. The bed was lumpy! The Inn had a very unusual smell which was not attractive. It felt slightly grimy. The worst part was the bathroom for our room was on another floor! The outside area in the back of the Inn is not well maintained and does not look as nice as the picture. I would recommend staying at the Hotel Vermont. The rates are comparable and the venue is way better.

Well, at least you didn't say unkind words about me, thank you for that! ---Linda :-) Wished you stayed for breakfast...I do make 'great breakfasts’, and well, for sure our small little historic inn wasn't your cup-of-tea! If you'll had voiced any of these concerns to me in-person, or phone or email...I would have called the hotel and booked you a room; as all of us in this industry are about HOSPITALITY and caring for our people. NOTE FOR FUTURE GUESTS and prospectives: It’s true, Linda the Innkeeper, myself, has become uncontrollably and undeniably a dog lover! She/I wasn’t always that…but apparently I'm preferring the dogs over the humans and that may mean we have become more casual than we used to be. Also, It has been unfortunate for the INN that this innkeeper (I) has been ill lately...too often! When 'Linda' is down, the INN does suffer! We'll see if we get better, but know WE WANT TO IMPROVE! Kiss, Kiss. And, if you have a dog...give them belly rubs from us! And, If one is a white-glove inspector (or just unhappy or whatever or older) and needs certain modern luxury extras…really, we are not designed for that/those guests… we actually are designed for more youthful guests providing (chalkboard walls, record players, musical instruments, tons of books & magazines, games) and so on. With our bathrooms down the hall (on the same floor, privately keyed and not shared) an older guest may not want that style of stay either. It’s a historic house, split Victorian, certain modern comforts can’t be met, but we are still offering valid quality great stays…just not for the older guests priorities, and certainly not these guests and I/we understand that. Upon re-inspection of your room...my staff and I could not come to the same conclusions about any of your descriptions...and for sure my beds are not lumpy! Wow! ANYHOW, again, had you guests let me know I would have understood their concerns, and immediately taken care and moved them to the hotel. We love our guests...regardless. Will always be wishing them the best! ***As far a comparable rates…NO, the hotel you (dear guests) compare us to is not comparably priced. They offer a much larger venue, it’s modern, it’s at least $50 more per regular room, and as extras go... a booking with us includes our fabulous breakfasts, wine of your choice, Alchemist brews, and the amenities are hosted in a really small (4) bedroom 1881 lovingly restored Victorian home. With the tangible estimated value difference between the hotel and our INN is approximately $100 less. And, an extra PLUS for dog lovers...the large hotel charges more per dog stays…in reality comparing apples to oranges probably not fair. Again, our INN exclusively (because we are so small) offers only (4) guest rooms, and the Hotel offers over 100 rooms. Of course The Hotel hosts a very different experience, and for some the large hotel may be less cozy, and some guests may want a ‘True Historic New England Victorian’ styled stay. PLEASE KNOW: we do regularly recommend the hotel when our Inn is fully booked or the caller has different needs that have to be met for age comforts and such. WE, too, get the quality of the hotel …their type of stays; and we fairly acknowledge our INN caters to a different taste, but many past guests are happy here. It's about selecting the right hotel, and doing the research. On a good day: I would choose us, and on bad day or week…maybe I would choose them!? —Respectfully, Linda ______ A DIFFERENT “cup-of-tea” review from DIFFERENT GUESTS (you see it really just depends): “One of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had! One of the funkiest and most eclectic stays we’ve experienced. The innkeeper, Linda is hilarious and warm (and gives great recommendations for activities around Burlington). If you’re looking to avoid a straightforward, regular B & B experience, this would be your new cup of tea. You can walk to the downtown easily and the rooms are quiet (the AC unit is the only noise you’ll hear). We stayed in the smallest room and had a comfortable time. The only thing we had to get used to was the detached bathrooms! Usually our preference to have an attached bathroom, but this wound up being fine. Thanks Linda and staff!” The directly above review ‘copy’ is from a much younger set of guests...and as earlier stated the INN was design to cater to the comforts and whims of more youthful guests; the big exchange in experiences is the quirkiness of a historic home as compared to the luxury of a modern hotel. And the icing-on-top of that…we have been reading lately is that the INNkeeper is eccentric…what else would this home be...but quirky? (APPLES to ORANGES) and generational needs are always something to be considered when booking a historic Bed and Breakfast. Now, I/we will take this opportunity to shout-out we are offering friendly familiar, fun...even funny and always DELICIOUS stays whatever that means?!! But, like this couple who is reviewing today…(an older couple)... I believe our INN would not be the place for them to book, Please consider your hotel bookings, carefully! Why make a mistake and then try to hurt the place when you could have easily known was not the right place, and hurt a small business…how is that good? -Linda in Liberal Land Yeah, my answer is long...it's always long, but I'm sad these guests choose to beat us up, rather than just have a equitable conversation...it's bad behavior I think...my opinion anyhow.

I came here for 3 nights with my French Bulldog, Jackson, and we both loved it and made ourselves at home. From the comfy bed to array of snacks & drinks to the delicious breakfast, there’s nothing not to love about this place! Linda was very helpful with restaurant and activities to bring Jackson and he especially loved getting some maple bacon at breakfast. Great location as it was walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and of course the beautiful Lake Champlain. I definitely want to take another trip up to Vernont in the fall and would stay here again, no questions asked.

Well, you two come back soon, and get your returning guests special rate; maybe you book a larger room, but then again, you two don't take up much space. We are all in-love with that high-bred classy-perfect movie-star Jackson-boy...definatly a full-bred blondie! We have 3 dogs in the INN at the moment, and one puppy-cut shitzu that I think Jackson-boy would have a crush on, a romance...it's all about timing. Yep, we are DOG WORLD here, well-behaved...multiple breeds, and if they could come without their "emotional support humans" we would be okay with that as well! ---Yep, it's Linda, telling her stories, drinking those Alchemist Brews, cooking her food, and pretending to love Vermont. Oh, well, at least presenting Vermont in a good way, that is all one can ask!?.

My husband, and I along with our beloved German Shepherd, Cali we welcomed with open arms! The hostess/owner, Linda is a hoot! She dots every I and crosses every T in regards to finishing touches in order to please her guests. The rooms are super cozy and have such a cool vibe with great views! This place is gorgeous and the breakfasts (made to order) are SO scrumptious. Very cool sitting room/library, candy and other generous snacks and water and other drinks available at all times. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend Linda’s place. Having fun, laugh out loud conversations with her and her friend made my nights! MIchelle from Buffalo, NY

Ah, another ‘Blue Girl’ Michelle. Look at us: I'm red, you are blue… we laugh, we love, we eat, we drink and we have fun together. Isn't that the way it's supposed to be; everyone can have differences of opinions, and still feel safe... happy, fun-hearted and cherish opposing sides, regardless? Yep, we so very much appreciate you, your hubby and that fabulous black-faced huge German Shepherd, Cali-Girl for staying with us and sharing a small time in your lives…she’s as sweet as they come. We had a great time at Made Inn. Linda took good care of us, made sure we were comfortable, made amazing breakfasts, even got me a bag of GF breads because I asked her where she got the GF bread for her delicious avocado toasts. The mattress was very comfortable, the place peaceful, quirky and fun. Great record collection in our room, TV with Netflix and Hulu, etc., cute little desk and an Eames chair, games and fun books everywhere. Red heart balloons! Breakfast on the front porch or back garden oasis. Hot tub! Views of sunsets from the cupola, 24 hour a day snacks, treats, tea, beer, wine! Linda is a colorful character, I appreciate her desire to talk to her guests and take care of them, making sure they have fun in Burlington and at the inn. She also was very patient with our pup.

XOXOX Linda - we miss you already ❤️. What an amazing 4th of July wknd staying at your wildly Victorian Eclectic B&B busting at the seams with so many curated mediums of art. Rooms filled with beautiful flowers, candy, music 🎶. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Breakfast each morning. We arrived heartbroken after losing our Frenchie Murphy of 10yrs a week prior to our visit to VT and really had no plan on where or what to do. You were a blessing steering us to experience some incredible adventures like the Bike Trail on the causeway on Lake Champlain, so breathtaking. The many exhibits at Shelburne Museum - perhaps one of the best museums we have ever been to. The endless list of eateries you provided us with and we were so happy to have to you join us on our last evening together- what a TRIP. LOL. Thank you beautiful host for making this one of our Best 4th of July Weekends in a very long time. We look forward to staying again with you soon and will be HIGHLY RECOMMENDING your establishment to all who plan on visiting VT. ❤️🥂🌸🎶 - A Rare Gem of a B&B. Felt like home away from home.

A 4TH of JULY AMERICAN PATRIOT’S RESPONSE: Well... we/I love you'll as well! Kiss, Kiss. Didn't we enjoy our ‘lot’s-of-loud laughter' this weekend? The results are already showing up….the isometric contractions from the ‘enlightenment’ humor and world observations…in my waistline…just a brilliant way to tone! :-) Us 'PATRIOTS' have to stand-together...because if you give those "blue" people an inch they will take a mile. Freedom... choosing to run our lives from our own ideal choices ...isn't that what's it's all about? It's 1776 all over again...it's the American people taking back their country. Thank God, finally! Listen NOT to those who say we can't feel proud. We can most certainly appreciate our American heroes and patriots...with our demonstrative over-the-top celebrations on freedom day…July 4th; as we are a great country, and many of us are working to make it even greater! We're winning! The ‘D.S.’ is going down all over the world...we can all celebrate! ---Linda in Liberal Land, AKA...'The Red Rooster of Burlington'...and for sure 'The “Top” Politically Incorrect Burlington Innkeeper', and perhaps ‘the top’ in the entire State of Vermont? ‘Bad, but in a good way! :-) You want to talk about freedoms...come to Linda's; have a Heady Topper, a glass of wine, and/or stay sober and let's talk it over... let's laugh, let's talk about the absurd, and all that we are waking up to! I decided to travel to Burlington for my first solo vacation and was looking for a different experience than a regular hotel. This was the perfect choice for my stay. Linda (the innkeeper) is a gorgeous, eccentric woman, and her house reflects her personality well. Linda has the amenities all figured out. There was a wide selection of snacks and drinks available. The hot tub outside was awesome. Access to Hulu, Netflix and other streaming services on the in-room TV. There was a record player and a variety of records in my room which I thought was a unique touch! Breakfast was amazing every morning. My favorite room of the house was the top floor, with windows on all 4 sides. I had some tea and watched the sunset up there most nights, with views of downtown Burlington and the lake!
