A wonderful old farmhouse perfectly converted to a B&B. Beautiful views and surroundings. Great location to explore new England with many day trip possibilities a short drive away. The accommodations were tasteful, clean and comfortable. The food was excellent! Great walking trips right out the back door! Close to skiing and fishing and biking! Highly recommended!

We just returned from a 2 night stay at the Pond House Inn. We were extremely pleased with our choice of this B&B. A very large, spacious room, seating/reading area with newly remodeled large bath area, inclusive of amenities. Two living room areas downstairs if you decide to read/relax in the evening or even have a cocktail ! The owner,... More

I could not believe how we stumbled onto this place. My friend and I were looking for a three night VT ski getaway. We checked out places in Manchester and Killington, all pricey. Add in the dog, and it was tough to find a place under budget with charm that accommodated our needs. I went searching through Google Maps for... More

The problem with this place is the owner. She is very rigid, stingy with food, and does not make one feel welcome. I was depressed being there and could not wait to leave. The owner also insists on talking with guests and since we were the only ones there, we were not left alone. She also charges a lot for... More

Aside from two amazing home-cooked gourmet breakfasts and one yummy dinner, the rustic setting, toasty living room fire stove and huge and plush bed in which you can easily lose yourself made this an amazing two-night stay. Gretel is painfully detail oriented and takes great pride in her B&B hospitality, and anyone can easily sense that she truly loves what... More

It was our first time exploring the beautiful state of Vermont in the winter times, and we decided to treat ourselves with a more personal Bed and Breakfast experience. How little did we know - It simply turned out to be a very memorable and enjoyable experience staying at The Pond House Inn. We usually don't take the effort to... More

We stayed at the Pond House Inn for three nights for Valentine’s Day. We chose this B&B based on the description, website information, pictures and because they happily accept dogs. The owner, Gretel, was very responsive to my emails and was very knowledgeable on the surrounding area. The accommodations were just as I had expected them to be. The room... More

If you want a special place to kick back and enjoy Vermont from a hillside perspective, you have found it. Off the beaten path, Pond House is central to everything within the region. The farmhouse was built in the 1830's and was a great change to the modern conveniences we take for granted. Gretel was a super host as well... More

My girlfriend and I went up around Valentine's day of this year. The house was very charming, neat and clean. Great linens and bed. Room had wi-fi access with good connectivity speeds. Gretel and her pup Charlie were the perfect hosts and Gretel is a fantastic cook. We greatly enjoyed relaxing in the one living room area by the fire.... More

We spent a night here recently an thoroughly enjoyed it. Gretel is a gracious host and has a beautiful property. The food was good, the rooms are spacious and the dog is a delight. Please note that rooms do not have televisions. We loved this aspect! They do have iPod-friendly radios. This is a fun place and would be a... More
