This outstanding Bed and Breakfast feels like it is designed for the comfort of the guest. We were greeted by the proprietors Steve and Sue who consistently helped us with recommendations of places to see and dine. Their hospitality and pride of ownership were present in every detail of the experience (especially during these challenging Covid 19 times). Our suite included all modern comforts, elegant bedding and furnishings, without compromising the charm of a 19th century home. Sue’s talents as a professional baker were evidenced by the sumptuous (and gourmet) breakfasts. Your visit to central Vermont will not be complete without a stay at the DreamHouse Country Inn.
Had a wonderful weekend stay at the dreamhouse inn when I was visiting friends in the area. Sue and Steve very graciously accommodated some last-minute plan alterations. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast each day was amazing (homemade scone, yogurt parfait, and omelette the first day; cake, fruit, and French toast the second). The place is a perfect mix of professional and homey, with quality linens and privacy combined with unique decor and welcoming hosts. I’m bummed I didn’t get a chance to use the adorable writing desk placed in my room!
Where to begin! This Bead and Breakfast is a truly a dream. The house is so charming and pretty, and clearly well taken care of. There is a large amount of outdoor space to enjoy when the weather is nice (we even ate al fresco at the picnic table in the back). Their gardens are also not only, impressive, but the hosts use the fresh herbs and veggies to cook you breakfast! My mother I stayed in the beautiful Bridal Suite and we could not have been more comfortable or relaxed. The hosts, Sue and Steve are so friendly, warm, accommodating and thoughtful. They both greeted us with masks on when we came in and took our temperatures, this made us feel safe and comfortable. Sue and Steve clearly love to host people and are really interested in learning about their guests, they take the time to get to know you and even made local suggestions based on our interests, Sue's baking is OUT OF THIS WORLD, and her breakfasts are just as delicious, we could not believe how lucky we were. Sue and Steve leave out a coffee, tea and beverage bar all day. They also provide you with dish ware and utensils if you wish to bring dinner or lunch back to the house. We also really enjoyed taking our coffee out to the front porch to sit and read! Thank you Sue and Steve for such a delightful stay, we will be back!!…
My wife and I have been all around New England at countless bed and breakfasts and Dream House Country Inn is simply the best. It’s an instant favorite. Every morning we enjoyed a delicious homemade meal with professionally baked pastries and decadent entrees (the waffles on our last day were my favorite). The room was spotless— fresh and tastefully decorated with a scrumptious king size bed that afforded our best night sleep in years (we have a toddler). Sue and Steve love what they do and it comes through with every interaction. Bristol is an AWESOME town with friendly people, delicious restaurants (try the Bobcat for phenomenal fish tacos) and is only a stones throw away from Sugarbush some of the finest skiing in New England. We stayed at DreamHouse Country Inn as part of our elopement weekend in February 2018. Sue and Steve were wonderful hosts and made the weekend extra special for us. Sue is an experienced baker and made our wedding cake, a small but detailed "white birch bark" delicious masterpiece. Breakfast every morning was equally delicious. The private rooms and public spaces are beautiful furnished.
