For the last 40 years October Country Inn can be found alongside this quiet side road near Route 4 about halfway between Woodstock and Killington. We can not be found under listings for Woodstock or Kilington, We are a well kept secret. You get all the advantages these towns have to offer without having to endure what you came to Vermont to escape. Our accommodations include ten guest rooms, large dinning, meeting or game rooms, a spacious living room scattered with overstuffed furniture where, if its cool, a fire always crackles in the fireplace. We have plenty of games, puzzles, and books. And we're willing partners for a little idle conversation if you're inclined. We are country living at its most relaxed and enjoyable. Join us won't you?

We stayed at the October Country Inn for a last minute ski trip to Killington and Pico. Unfortunately it rained all day while we skied, but luckily we were staying at this inn. Edie dried our clothes in the drier for us and even mailed a neck warmer that we forgot to our house in Rhode Island before we even knew it was missing. The inn is clean and very comfortable. No TVs in the rooms but plenty of board games and books you can borrow. It is right across the street from Long Trail Brewery and an easy drive to many restaurants. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and had a great variety. We will definitely be back to this BB.

My husband and I stayed one night at this delightful inn as part of the Inn to Inn hiking tour. It was our first night of our trip, and we were delighted to stay at the October Country Inn at at the beginning of October! Edie and Chuck were wonderful hosts and were lovely to talk to. A warm fire in their main room was lovely in the evening and waking up to delicious coffee and breakfast (and wonderful conversation) sent us off to our next adventure feeling like we had a home in Vermont. Chuck sent us off to our wonderful hike on the Appalachian Trail with very detailed instructions. Highly recommend this place for any type of stay!

We had a great one night stay with wonderful hosts, Chuck and Edie. Their home is clean and cozy with anything you could possibly want for a comfortable stay. Chuck and Edie were kind, attentive and helpful - even upgraded our room since a larger room was available. Breakfast was delicious, too!

Wonderful Country type Inn located in central Vt. between Woodstock and Killington. Beautiful accommodations and excellent breakfasts served daily between 8 & 9am. Cinnamon french toast & sausages 1st am; egg omlet with cheddar cheese & bacon 2nd am; silver dollar size sour cream pancakes and sausages 3rd am. In addition to these main dishes bluberry muffins each am along with fresh fruit and side table with different breads fruit canola & various cereals. Outside there was beautiful landscaping with many different flowers & plants along with a wonderful swimming pool . The Innkeepers, Chuck & Eddie were very attentive, informative and friendly. The Inn is located just a short distance from Plymouth Village: the birthplace & village where Pres. Calvin Coolidge was born and raised all his life. His grave is also located in Plymouth. My wife & I would recommend this B&B and its Innkeepers very highly for any travelers visiting this area

My wife I enjoyed October Country Inn as part of the inn to inn hiking tours. The inn is a wonderful, home like environment with wonderful food and even better hospitality. Chuck and Edie made us feel welcome and helped plan our hike for the next day.
