Clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff. And Jerry the cat was cool, too. We stayed through a snow storm and the parking lot was plowed and safe. We loved the king room with the hot tub! Would definitely return.

Thank you for your review and recent stay with us during our first real snowstorm of the year! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our staff, Jerry, our feline mascot, and loved the guestroom! Our king beds are adorned with a variety of pillows from firm to soft, down alternative and feather filled so that you can find what's to your own liking. We look forward to your return and so appreciate that you noticed how well our plowing and snow removal was addressed as mother nature dropped 20 inches of snow in the surrounding areas! We look forward to your return.

I was happy with my stay here. It got a great rate and it was clean quiet and comfortable. The staff were friendly. The breakfast area was quaint- it was a limited continental breakfast but I was happy with cereal and yogurt- they have waffle maker too and other items.

Thank you for your review. We do our very best in providing our guests with clean and comfortable lodging at affordable rates. Our staff is our greatest boon, as we are a family owned, close knit crew that truly enjoy our guests and our work. We add items to the continental breakfast regularly, but always provide the make your own waffles, cereal , yogurt, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal and a variety of breads or bagels with all the condiments!

I had read the reviews on Trip Advisor and decided to book a room for one night while passing through Brattleboro, they were mixed but overall fairly decent. I was disappointed at the hotel from first sight. Very rundown, dated and a variety of many smells. The hotel lobby

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with us. To be very clear, the odor in the lobby was from a skunk that sprayed outdoors somewhere in proximity to the side of the lobby-please be careful to make such bold assumptions because we are, afterall a local family run independant motel, and what you say has real power and ramifications, whether just or not. A safe trapper was called and the problem animal was relocated to the wild. The guestroom you were in was a pet room and from time to time, we use a mild Febreze plug in to freshen the air from any pet odors that may remain after housekeeping has completed a thorough cleaning. There really was no big cover up here, and we would have been happy to explain had you let us know that there was a smell in the room that was strong and bothering you. We would have been happy to switch your room, or in the very least let you know what is was and where is was located so that it could be removed. We take great care in our guests safety and although we do not discriminate, we are careful to watch any offensive activity and remove any unwanted people. There were some guests that were smoking cigarettes at the designated smoking picnic table, as we do not permit smoking of any kind in the property building near doorways or windows here. The free continental breakfast does have some non grain carb options including hard boiled eggs, yogurt and assorted fruit, but it is a continental breakfast by nature and at our price point we try to offer a variety of options within the constraints of what we are. Our sincerest apologies about the lack of cleanliness on the bathroom floor, our housekeeping staff has been notified. Again, we are sorry that we fell short for you, and will do our best to remedy what we can in the future.

The room smelled musty and smokey, and the lobby also had unpleasant odor. Otherwise, it is not a bad room for the price and the staff were very nice. I do not understand why they do not invest in cleaning the carpets, which I believe would make a critical difference as well

Thank you for letting us know that you felt that the guest room you were in and the lobby had an unpleasant odor. Although we are a non smoking motel, from time to time some guests may not observe the rules. Our sincerest apologies, in the future, be sure to let us know and we will move you to a different guestroom if at all possible. As far as the lobby, unfortunately, a skunk had sprayed in the vicinity somewhere near the lobby a few days earlier, and that was the odor that you may have detected there. We are glad to hear that you found us well priced and the staff kind. To clarify, we do have brand new carpets throughout the lobby, all guestrooms and even the hallways, and shampoo the carpets regularly to protect the sizeable investment put in the flooring here. We also use Febreze in all rooms. Again, our apologies that your guestroom had carry over odors from perhaps a previous guest, or maybe even the damp, rainy weather we've had lately, but we have heard your complaint and will do everything on our power to rectify the issue.

sounds like you plan to enjoy the foliage in Vermont! leaves are just starting to turn. there is a restaurant right on the water about 1 mile or so towards downtown Brattleboro and then many options in the downtown block. it''s an eclectic variety of healthy and earthy options with a 5 minute drive from the motel. Interesting vib in the town that has been the way for decades. Enjoy your visit!
