My wife and I decided to visit southern Vermont for the New Year holiday and discovered the wonderful Black Mountain Inn. The hotel was a perfect home-base to explore this gorgeous area and all of the wonderful shops, restaurants, and scenery that Vermont has to offer. I am an avid snowboarder and the hotel is also very close to major... More

We stayed here Dec. 27-29, and got a pretty good deal probably because it was between holidays. Stayed in the king room with the hot tub and only payed $212 for the two nights. The room was great. Nice furniture/bed set, a little instant coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Not sure how the breakfast was as we went out a... More

Thank you for your great review of our inn. We offer discounted rates through the winter and its a wonderful way to take advantage of the season! Recently,we have upgraded our furniture to granite topped maple art deco pieces, paying some hommage to our history as a drive in theater motel in the 50's and 60's. We are a small,... More

Inexpensive nice carpets quiet dog could run next door and at state park 15 min away. Near a good wine and deli store across the street. Tidy and one can tell the owners are trying to refurbish an old place. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was hard boiled eggs, bagels, oatmeal and cold cereal, and fresh fruit.

We stayed at this hotel for about 2 months for work, we had the best experience here. Tina, Monica and Jerry the cat were all wonderful. We really enjoyed our breakfast that was provided by Tina and Monica. We also really enjoyed our time sitting down and talking with them while eating our breakfast if felt as if we were... More

what's NOT to like? It's a nice motel!! Plus, if you go back 45 yrs, it's a drive-in theater!!!! Where else in America do you get that??? A motel with a picture window! Shut-Up!!! I was accommodated for my college reunion, 9/29/15, although no other motel wished to do so. Supposedly had no space available. Monica, and I mean ,... More

I had stayed at this hotel in one very cold January night, as a function of an automotive breakdown... unfortunately managing to leave a small cooler in the room's refrigerator when checking out the next day. To my pleasant astonishment, when passing through ten months later that tiny but useful cooler was still in the hotel's lost and found... just... More

We were quoted a price under $90 per day for 2 nights in October. On checking in, the price was raised to $130 per night. Had it been up to me we would have walked at that point. Room smelled musty. Noisy. Shower was slow to heat and the controls were temperamental at best. No elevator. Watch your footing, uneven... More

Thank you for your review. October is our busy season here in Vermont and our rate was $90 for 2 Double beds during the week; however the weekend rate was $130-which is a typical rate for a mid economy motel in our area. Since you made no advance reservation, the rate is subject to change. The high end franchises were... More

If you're staying in Brattleboro, VT and looking for high end amenities that the expensive hotels offer, then this is not for you. BUT, if you're looking for a different kind of experience, check this place out. From the moment we checked in, we were made to feel welcome and "at home". The room was cozy, clean and comfortable. Stayed here while playing in a golf tournament at Brattleboro Country Club. Relatively clean and the hostess Tina is very sweet. Too much "stuff" around for my taste. Fridge and microwave in room but didn't use. NO coffee maker and no coffee at the breakfast. Breakfast seemed re-used from previous days. Very tired appearance and the rooms, though non-smoking, smelled... More

Thank you for your review. We are disappointed to hear that although you found the room very clean and enjoyed members of the staff, you did not enjoy your stay. This is a great little hotel for bikers. Rooms are easily found in the main floor and you can park your bike outside the door. The lady even offered us some towels to clean our scoots!
