Very friendly staff - when we inquired about whether hotel guests received a discount at the attached theatre, we were given complimentary passes. The hotel & rooms are comfortable with lots of charm. My only complaint is the bed was a bit hard & lacked some of the cushiness of other current hotels. Overall though a great experience & would... We revisited this hotel, having stayed here some very long time ago. The hotel is being renovated and our hotel room had a fine view with great bathroom. But we really missed the 'Latchis Bar and Grill' which we remembered very fondly. Breakfast in the lobby was therefore a little spartan - hence the 4*. But staff were very helpful... More

This is an historic hotel in the pleasant town of Battleboro. I stayed here with my Husband for one night to break our journey from New York to New Hampshire. They say it is an art deco hotel and it is clear that is was built during that period of history. However apart from the lobby floor there are only... More

We enjoyed the central location, could walk everywhere. There are some mighty fine restaurants in this town. We saw a few movies...what a special theater if you were in the main one. Enjoyed the town, the shopping and the overall atmosphere of Brattleboro. My room was spacious and as others have mentioned, a little funky. The corridors of the hotel... More

We loved the hotel itself, the retro theme, and the movie theatre. The location of the hotel was great for walking to the shops and most other attractions. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel offers free parking, free Wifi, and a continental breakfast that included choices of yogurt and almond milk. It was a wonderful experience, and we... More

Super friendly an solicitous front desk staff. Manager's name is Paris, who loves to be petted, in spite of her age. Beds are fine, linens also. Bathrooms are ok, yes vintage and VERY clearn. Good hot water, and a great location.

The rooms have been restored to perfection. After busy days going to craft fairs, a classical music concert and having terrific dinners and sampling cheese every where it was a special treat to stay right in the middle of the activity at Latchis. Our beds were comfortable; our tv excellent and housekeeping made our room look perfect when we returned... More

Historical Hotel that is being slowly renovated. Keep this in mind! He movie theaters looked fabulous. But the room was challenging. No air conditioning. Window was an old large factory window with non-locking metal fixtures, adjacent to a first floor roof. Window had no screen. Staff was not receptive. Basically, this is an 1930s historical building with an 'up and... More

Absolutely correct, we are a historic hotel and theatre and are restoring/updating as we are able. There are mulitple directions that we must look at restoration and I know it's not easy to imagine that from a general outside view. We have multiple classes of accommodations for our guests to choose from. Yes the windows are 80 years old so... More

My husband and I wandered into this hotel because we wanted to extend our Mini-Moon for one more day! What a great find! The customer service was excellent, even letting us see two rooms before we decided on staying on the third floor in a silver screen themed room. The room had a working record player, a wonderful view of... More
