Saw an advertisement in a Southern Vermont Dining Magazine that this restaurant had live Irish music on Wednesdays. Four of us got there by 7 o'clock for our 1/2 price Guinness and 1/2 price fish and chips. We did order Irish tacos too. Guinness was pretty good at $3 a pint. Nice!! Food was decent and the entertainment was great!...

A very quaint inn- we felt as if we were in our own home. A roaring fireplace in the living area made the stay so wonderful. We stayed in room 3- extremely spacious and clean and newer bath. Room 1 has a fireplace and a Jacuzzi tub- and a large shower area-very nice! And room 4 is also spacious and...

We had a large party skiing in local Stratton Mountain and went to the bar on a Saturday evening. Nice looking bar - good selections of brews and overall pretty good food. But the attitude of the staff had much to be desired. The waitress actually asked us if we could give up our table after on hour and hang...

I’ve been visiting this restaurant and tavern for over twenty years and always loved the pace until a recent visit just before the New Year. The downward spiral began with a reaction and look from a Waitress who seemed bothered that we asked that one of the soft drinks at our table be replaced since it did not taste right...

My husband and I truly enjoyed a fantastic weekend at The Red Fox Inn. In a small town with not much happening, we found "the place to be". The inn, an old farmhouse, was just what we wanted, quiet, comfortable, and charming, and with great dinner options ( we highly recommend the roast duck!) and nightly entertainment on the property,...

The Inn itself is old and historic looking, which can be quaint. But the owners did nothing to welcome us and, most disturbing is the fact that the bed linens (comforter, blanket & pillow shams) were filthy, stained (including blood stains), outdated and worn. At $165/night, we were appalled. Furthermore, when this matter was called to the owner's attention, he...

First off, I would like to respond to the matters listed from the review left Feb. 19, 2007. I understand that this review was left two years ago now and is old and outdated. However, I have grown-up in my family's establishment my entire life; we are now in our 25th year in business, and have seen an array of...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A quiet escape to the Green Mountains of Vermont. Find out what relaxation and "getting away from it all" really means, by escaping the hum of the TV and the ringing of the phone in this 1800s farmhouse. We have live entertainment and award winning food in the fine dining restaurant and tavern just a quick step across the parking lot. Over four ski areas within 20mins! And for the warmer weather, we have several golf courses around us, bike and hiking, swimming and boating! ... more   less
