The photo doesn’t describe the site.... staid on water side(12unit first & second floor) the apt was updated directly on lake... the restaurant, office & ice machine was across street. Hostess in restaurant wouldn’t let us sit outside, wanted us inside... after 20 minutes we told hostess we were sitting outside where there was 4 tables available.. the food was good. Only staid 1 night cancel second night... would not return.

We spent a weekend here with some friends after visiting NYC. Was a lovely quiet break. The lake was clean and warm and we enjoyed the free kayaks and swimming. The rooms a the lake house are directly by the water, very relaxing. The breakfast is a self-serve pick-up and take to your room or the lakeside park. Very basic but it was nice to enjoy the early morning breeze on the lake while sipping coffee. We had dinner at the Taproom one evening and everything was fresh and tasty, very friendly staff. There was a wedding reception when we arrived and we were afraid it might be noisy or service would be slow but that was not the case.

My son was married at the Lodge with the ceremony on the island and it couldn’t have been better from my perspective. We literally took over the entire property. The staff was professional, the boat drivers were awesome and the wedding planner super. Wouldn’t have changed a thing. The room I saw were fairly newly renovated but the outside could use some TLC. Waterfront beautiful, scenery gorgeous.

My wife and I had a "staycation" here -- it's only about 40 minutes from our home -- and we loved it. The room was large and comfortable, with simple "summer cottage" decor. The view from our room was spectacular. It's a very nice property on a gorgeous lake. The Taproom was a nice surprise -- I had shrimp tacos with lime salsa. Really excellent! We stayed mostly to relax and to kayak and swim and had a wonderful time. We also loved the friendliness of the hosts and the other guests.

We were excited to stay here, it was our first time. The girl working the check-in desk was very friendly and welcoming. Our room looked recently renovated, it was nice. Unfortunately, most everywhere we looked needed just a bit more care. The screens to our room were broken and gapped. The breakfast area was crowded, cramped and the offerings were sad. Some of the other guests staying here were regular visitors. I guess they knew what to expect. We were just a little disappointed. I don't plan to stay here again.
