Our stay at the Lake Bomoseen Lodge far exceeded our expectations! We stayed in the Lodge, which offered a beautiful view of the lake. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Throughout our stay, the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed swimming in the lake, our guided pontoon tour, and relaxing by the fire pit. We ate dinner at the Taproom two nights, which was delicious! We also enjoyed playing shuffleboard and darts while having drinks. The Lake Bomoseen Lodge is the perfect place to connect with nature and relax! We hope to visit again in the future!

We didn't get to go on the vacations we were planning this summer due to the COVID19 scare but I really wanted to go somewhere for at least a weekend before the summer ended and then I found this place. Since it was in state and neither of us had been to high risk areas we didn't have travel restrictions and only had to sign a document confirming our recent travels. We opted for a basic hotel room which had mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker and wasn't one of the rooms that overlooked the lake but it was literally right there and even visible from our window. As soon as we walked into the room we could see and smell how clean it was and the grounds were very well maintained. During our 2 day 3 night stay there were two different weddings on the property which were pretty small (obviously and understandably) but looked great and both groups have beautiful pictures I'm sure. We didn't take advantage of the basic continental breakfast but we did have the free coffee they provided each morning but we got our money's worth out of the many kayaks, paddle boards, and canoes they allow guests to use, free of charge. I'll also add going the end of August was nice as there really weren't that many people and it was relatively quiet...not sure if that's true during the thick of the season. The lake was clean, the private beach was nice, and there isn't a bad view of the lake from anywhere on site. We did some hiking in the beautiful and scenic local area and if we had more time may have rented a boat. We didn't check out the pool since we enjoyed the lake but we did go to the Taproom restaurant on the property twice and had great food, drinks, and service both times. The sunsets were gorgeous, we totally lucked out with the weather, and would love to go back sometime.

Lake Bomoseen Lodge is an awesome place on a whole. Condo was attractive and very clean. Lake is clean and beautiful with fun water activities included in resort fee. Really awesome of them to leave continental breakfast out until it is gone (well beyond the 10:30 stated cut off time). Mostly grab and go for breakfast. Office help is lovely with an awesome “can do” attitude. They clearly look for ways to make guests happy. Free kayaks, paddle boards and water mats/trampoline are fabulous.

A very few negatives include a HORRIBLE mattress on the very lumpy pull out bed. We were accommodated with a first floor condo, but every footstep (and more) could be heard from upstairs. WiFi is VERY spotty, and only Verizon users seemed to get cell service. There was no way to get a WiFi call off so we had to drove drive down by the highway for cell service. Non working phone in condo was reported, but never fixed during our stay.

Boat lramp/launch In disrepair, and a fee of $35 to dock a small boat seemed somewhat excessive. Lake entrance for swimming very rocky, so bring water shoes. Also, as about 65% of accommodations are across a busy highway and up a steep hill, it is difficult for children. Condo steps are steep, so be clear of where your accommodations are if you have mobility or lifting issues. Outdoor pool cold Tavern hit and miss with food.

Over all would recommend Lake Bomoseen Lodge, and we will definitely return. Loved the little diner in town with great weekday specials.

What a wonderful property on the shoreline of Bomoseen. Lots of rooming options from small motel type rooms to big multi-bedroom cottages (please pay the extra $ and spring for the Birch cabin - perfection!) Absolutely immaculately cleaned, every little detail take care of and a great restaurant on site (does not do breakfast, there is a small "european style" breakfast available at the office). Lovely staff and just an all around wonderful property.

My family and I have been going to the lake for many years, this is actually our 50 th anniversary visiting the lake.
The new lodge is terrific. From the cute little office when you check in to the wonderful layout of different accommodations to choose from. All Staff and employees are thoughtful, and patient. The rooms are all redone with a trendy mountain / hipster country feel all wrapped up into one. The wifi, and cable tv service worked perfectly especially for the area and mountains.
The rooms are immaculate, bathroom updated and beautiful, bed and pillows perfect. Last week it was freezing out and the room was so warm with the new heaters even in the bathroom.
We stayed on the lake with an unbeatable view. The lunch and dinner at the lodge is a must, the specialty craft cocktails are delicious and they always carry such a diverse Vermont beer list that we would make the trip for in itself.
Best kept secret in the mountains. Don`t tell anyone then we won`t get our room.
We only have one complaint and that is that we had to leave and go back to the city to work.

This was our first outing since the start of the pandemic. We went with high hopes as this was the highest rated hotel in the area. Here are the positives: they take pets, though you can't stay lakeside. The hot water in the shower was hot. The restaurant delivered to the rooms and was above average. The following are the negatives: shabby construction and maintenance. The locks on the door could be broken with little or no effort. I never felt safe because of a broken Venetian blind on the front door that allowed anyone passing by to see if we were in the room. The televisions were lo-def and the audio was inconsistent. It felt more like a budget motel than a top of the line lakeside resort.

We recently stayed twice at the condo/suites at Lake Bomoseen Lodge and Taproom. The accommodations have been recently updated and are very nice: the units are spacious, the kitchens are well equipped, and the beds are very comfortable. What provides a mixed bag, however, seems to be the age of the buildings. Although the units are well appointed, the access to the buildings is not accessible and can be steep and slippery in winter. Our first stay found the access downright treacherous in spite of the wonderful employee spreading ice melt. Also on our first stay, the heat and hot water failed on our second night. Worth mentioning is also that multiple reviewers have mentioned the thin walls. This is a thing: we could easily hear the conversations etc. of all our neighbors very clearly. Having said all this, I would still recommend Lake Bomoseen Lodge. The location is wonderful and, as mentioned, the staff is the best. The restaurant on site is also a plus. It is an easy walk from the rooms, the food is good, and on the nights we were there, the live music was well worth a listen.

I was recently in the area for a short notice family matter. I was able to get a room on such short notice and with an incredible view. The room was so clean and fresh, this place clearly has a high standard and they uphold it with passion.

The staff was incredibly accommodating, best of all they took the ongoing COVID situation seriously which was nice to see when so many seem to be getting far to lax about it.

Perfect stay and I will be a repeat customer for sure.

The lodge is right on the lake, and we were given a charming room (if a bit cramped and lacking enough outlets for a gadgeted traveller) with a view of Bomoseen. The staff was extraordinarily helpful, the wifi excellent, and the simple breakfast offerings ample. A terrific location for visiting not only the lakeshore, but getting around Vermont and New York too. For those who like me might book with Groupon, beware! Groupons’s starting price doubled by the time I was through. Next time, I’ll book directly with LBL.

Stayed one night and my car did not start the following morning. While I waited for a wrecker (which took 4 hours) they gave me a very late check out free of charge AND one of there maintenance guys ran up to the local store for me and bought me some dry gas to see if we could get it to start. Above and beyond great service. Oh and the room was was super nice. Clean, modern with lots of upgrades. Foods from the lounge was great as well. Highly recommend!!

We stayed in one of the "normal" hotel rooms by the lake and I believe there was a coffee maker in the room. However, we were there 3 mornings an each morning my fiancée went into the main office (where you check in) and they had urns filled with different coffee so we took advantage of that. And it was complimentary! Hope this helps!
