We had a lovely four day stay here. It was spotlessly clean, the breakfasts were delicious and the owners and staff couldn’t be nicer. We loved having a bottle of wine on the patio at night overlooking the beautiful gardens. We stayed in the ice house suite and the fireplace was so cozy!

I have recently enjoyed staying at the Inn and after my second wonderful visit have concluded that it is the best place to stay in southern Vermont. In the most lovely setting imaginable, the Inn has a stately and elegant appearance. Lynn ( the innkeeper) works very hard to ensure that everything is perfect, down to the freshly cut flowers on the breakfast table and the freshly baked cookies. I'll never stay anywhere else. I can't wait to get back.

Stayed at Four Chimneys with Lynn and her family on and off for months due to work. Property is beautifully maintained and stayed extremely clean throughout our stay, delicious free breakfasts and owner’s dedication and thoughtfulness in making sure our stay was comfortable. Walking distance to the monument and SVMC. Very safe, quiet property with friendliest innkeepers. Without reservation, I will highly recommend Four Chimneys for your visit to beautiful Bennington!

I just returned from spending 3 nights at this Inn. Pete and Lynn were very welcoming, warm and engaging. They were very committed to making my stay as comfortable as possible. My room was lovely, bright and very comfy. I looked forward to returning there each evening. Breakfast options were varied, and my meals had substantial portions and were delicious. I have stayed in "older Inns", and they were noisy...creaky floors, the sounds of showers and doors slamming. Even though all rooms were filled, I never, ever heard any noise. I don't exaggerate when I say my bed was the most comfortable I've encountered in my travels. I will return to Four Chimneys Inn again and again.

If you're looking for a charming and comfortable place to stay in Bennington, Vermont, I highly recommend the Four Chimneys Inn. From the moment I walked through the door, I knew I was in for a treat. The inn is simply stunning, with tasteful decor that perfectly balances classic elegance with modern comfort.

But what really made my stay at the Four Chimneys Inn so memorable was the staff. The innkeepers and their team went above and beyond to make sure that every aspect of my stay was perfect. They were friendly, welcoming, and always available to answer any questions I had about the area or the inn itself.

One of the things I loved most about my stay at the Four Chimneys Inn was the opportunity to chat with other guests. The inn is cozy and intimate, with plenty of common spaces for guests to relax and mingle. I met some fascinating people during my stay, and it was great to be able to swap stories and recommendations with fellow travelers.

Of course, the real star of the show at the Four Chimneys Inn is the accommodations themselves. My room was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably decorated. I felt like I was staying in a luxurious private home, rather than a hotel or inn. And the breakfasts were to die for - each morning, I woke up to a delicious spread of fresh pastries, fruit, and eggs made to order.

All in all, I can't recommend the Four Chimneys Inn highly enough. Whether you're traveling solo, as a couple, or with family and friends, this inn is the perfect home base for exploring Bennington and the surrounding area. With its top-notch staff, stunning decor, and cozy atmosphere, it truly has everything you could want in a Vermont inn.

Our hosts Kate and Marc and staff made every effort to insure our comfort and ease of stay from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean, quiet and spacious and we had control over our own heat/cool pump which ran essentially silent. (We've stayed in hotels where the AC sounded more like a jet engine... ) Comfortable bed, firm with a pillow top I think. Spacious well lit bathroom.

Gourmet breakfast choices, attentive staff, 11+ acres to walk and wander, evening bar and patio. Cozy and private. We'll stay again!

We spent a wonderful two nights at the Four Chimneys. Room #2 is huge, with double shower, large sofa, fireplace, walk-in closet and king bed. Rooms are decked with bottled water, plush towels and nightly chocolates. We enjoyed a nightly pre-dinner cocktail of Vermont-distilled Barr Hill TomCat gin and a hearty country breakfast each morning. This *is* the place to stay when visiting SW VT.

Overall, this is a lovely place. Very pretty, clean, and well-maintained.
The staff was very friendly and accomodating.
The room was spacious and nicely decorated.
Things to know about the room: towels are low-quality and we got 2 towels, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth. Bed and bedding ok, but not luxury. Amenities were shampoo and conditioner dispensers in.the shower and 2 small discs of soap.
Breakfast is a nicely prepared plate of food - 5 choices: eggs, pancakes, french toast, yogurt/granola, oatmeal. Same menu each day. There were no home-baked goods offered as can be expected in many inns/b&b’s.
The restaurant had wonderful food for dinner. Top-notch all the way. Atmosphere might have been a little more classy to match, but really great.
It’s really a nice place, and very close to perfect in our estimation, but surprised about a few places where we felt they fell short.

Wow. The Four Chimneys Inn is absolutely STUNNING. My bf and I were here for a weekend on our first trip to Bennington. We booked the room months prior so we really had no idea what to expect. We were BLOWN AWAY with how beautiful the room was. The pictures speak for themselves. Everything was so clean and pristine, you can just tell this place is looked after lovingly by the innkeepers. We walked around the grounds and it’s evident why people come to get married here, simply stunning. Our stay here was the peaceful weekend getaway we were looking for. We stayed in Room 9, which is the cottage behind the main inn, and it was very spacious and private. The included breakfast was delicious, we had the french toast and scrambled eggs. We can’t wait to come back!

We were on our first trip to Vermont and although we knew we were a bit early, hoped to see some leaf color. We chose Four Chimneys Inn because of the reviews and we were not disappointed.
Just the setting of the Inn, the stone wall, the Inn back from the road set in a stand of trees and the beautiful building was just what we had hope to find as our base for exploring for a few days.
Lynn greeted us with a lovely cheese and cracker tray and showed us to a beautiful room. We decided to take the tray with a glass of wine out on the covered porch to enjoy the afternoon. She was such a lovely hostess, providing a map of Bennington as well as several recommendations for dinner, walks and interesting places to visit.
Our breakfasts each morning were excellent, we met lovely people also staying at the Inn from Indiana, California and Tennessee. By the time we left three days later, we were all old friends, wishing one another safe travels and sharing suggestions of places to visit depending of which way we went from there.
Our room was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. The Inn is a gorgeous place with kind and outstanding innkeepers. Would stay there again in a minute!
