Amazing B&B experience! The Four Chimneys is a gorgeous building just on the edge of Bennington. The location is just far enough away to feel secluded, but definitely still close enough to walk to some Bennington attractions. The Four Chimneys building and grounds are so beautiful and lovely. We unfortunately did not see as much of the staff, as that is something we enjoy at other Bed and Breakfasts, but the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Property's Favorite Review
I just returned from spending 3 nights at this Inn. Pete and Lynn were very welcoming, warm and engaging. They were very committed to making my stay as comfortable as possible. My room was lovely, bright and very comfy. I looked forward to returning there each evening. Breakfast options were varied, and my meals had substantial portions and were delicious. I have stayed in "older Inns", and they were noisy...creaky floors, the sounds of showers and doors slamming. Even though all rooms were filled, I never, ever heard any noise. I don't exaggerate when I say my bed was the most comfortable I've encountered in my travels. I will return to Four Chimneys Inn again and again.

Our hosts Kate and Marc and staff made every effort to insure our comfort and ease of stay from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean, quiet and spacious and we had control over our own heat/cool pump which ran essentially silent. (We've stayed in hotels where the AC sounded more like a jet engine... ) Comfortable bed, firm with a pillow top I think. Spacious well lit bathroom. Gourmet breakfast choices, attentive staff, 11+ acres to walk and wander, evening bar and patio. Cozy and private. We'll stay again!

My husband and I recently stayed at The Four Chimney’s Inn. We had an overall great experience. Everybody at the Inn was friendly and inviting, and more than willing to help us with anything that was needed. The inside and outside of the property was very clean.

Just delighted to be returning here. This in has just a few rooms and they follow strict safety protocols. So this is the first in we’ve been felt comfortable staying at. The local owners take loving care of each space in this in. It’s truly like being at home. We stayed at the Ice House this time. It has been a long two years ince we got to visit. We hsve travelled a lot and this is jour favorite place.

Our bed was probably the most comfortable ever, and we had such a great night's sleep. We had breakfast in the conservatory, and that was so romantic. The breakfast was plated so beautifully. Wish that I had taken a photo. We stayed for one night. The price was way beyond our budget, but it was WELL WORTH IT. We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. We will always treasure the memory of staying at this beautiful inn. Also, a huge THANK YOU to the staff for tracking us down after we departed and forgot that we had left a small piece of luggage in the parking lot. They were the best!

We really enjoyed our 1 night stay at the 4 Chimneys. Meg’s instructions during check in and the smooth breakfast ordering were very helpful. Beautiful grounds and historic ambiance made this a special stay. The landscaping and flowers were gorgeous. We all slept well on amazing sheets and comfy beds.

We were on our first trip to Vermont and although we knew we were a bit early, hoped to see some leaf color. We chose Four Chimneys Inn because of the reviews and we were not disappointed. Just the setting of the Inn, the stone wall, the Inn back from the road set in a stand of trees and the beautiful building was just what we had hope to find as our base for exploring for a few days. Lynn greeted us with a lovely cheese and cracker tray and showed us to a beautiful room. We decided to take the tray with a glass of wine out on the covered porch to enjoy the afternoon. She was such a lovely hostess, providing a map of Bennington as well as several recommendations for dinner, walks and interesting places to visit. Our breakfasts each morning were excellent, we met lovely people also staying at the Inn from Indiana, California and Tennessee. By the time we left three days later, we were all old friends, wishing one another safe travels and sharing suggestions of places to visit depending of which way we went from there. Our room was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. The Inn is a gorgeous place with kind and outstanding innkeepers. Would stay there again in a minute!
