Downstairs room with little patio with privacy shrub -- would have been nice to sip on wine if it weren't raining. Beds OK and room/bathroom a tad dated, but clean. Room nice-sized. Parking was just a few feet away. You had to have room key to get in building.
After almost 3 years of no vacations due to COVID and work it was finally off to Maine. As we normally do we like to split the drive into two days and decided Bennington, VT wound be a good stopping point. We had already booked our room at the Paradise Hotel and when we got their checkin was fast, the staff polite and helpful and the room clean and quiet. It’s a smaller facility which makes it easier to get luggage and the dogs in and out. Of course it is pet friendly with a nice and easily accessible pet area. There appear to be several other amenities but as we only stayed one night we did not really explore them. Definitely will stay there again on a future trip.
The hotel is clean, quiet and importantly for us pet friendly. The staff was polite and professional. This was a stopping point for our trip to Maine and it’s location was perfect. It is a smaller hotel which for some may not be what they are looking for but for us it was nice as getting to and from the room with the dogs was easy. Lastly, the cost of the room was reasonable by today’s standards.
I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights for a dog training workshop with the monks of New Skete; however, "because of Covid," the room was completely unserviced during that time. After 5 nights, the three (small) trash cans were overflowing. This is really unacceptable for a 5 night stay, and I subtracted one star for this. They should at least empty the trash and bring fresh towels every couple of days. Given the relatively high price, I expected better. My room was relatively large and had both a refrigerator and a small private outdoor seating area. The carpeting was stained, but the room was otherwise clean with reasonable furnishings. On the bright side, there is a very large grassy area behind the hotel (go past the pickle ball court), which was perfect for practicing with my dog in the evenings.…
Very few outlets to charge devices. Rooms were just ok but outdated. They had no microwave, no coffee maker, and a limited TV selection. There was no breakfast offered, no carts to move our things into our room, and the wifi and TV were only fair. Yet the price was high. However, we slept well and got hot water quickly out of the taps. There was a nice lawn for dogs and a small patio overlooking it. I would not return to this hotel.
Overnight stop on our way north up the coast of Vermont. The Paradise Inn was a no frills hotel with a very large room with 2 queen beds and a small patio. The room was immaculate with a comfortable bed. The only downside was the room had a musty smell that never went away. Nice pool in the back of the hotel.
So peaceful and quaint. Not much to look at from the parking lot, but man, the grounds and gardens and pool area in the back are beautiful. Well maintained and landscaped. Pool area lovely and open in mid October. Hammocks, quiet spots, pickleball courts, bocce ball, lots of tables and chairs. Really a gem in the perfect location. What a find! And for a great price. Rooms are modest but fine. Front desk gave us a perfect recommendation when we checked in. Great spot!
This place is well named. I wasn't sure what to expect but since all the reviews were so positive I I booked and glad I did. My only regret is that I was there only one night on my way back to NYC. I wish I had stayed longer and will definitely return to enjoy Bennington while staying at the Paradise. The place is well kept. They have obviously done a lot of renovation and upgrade and it shows. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully laid out - nice for a longer stay. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing. each room has a balcony or a ground floor terrace. I chose this over the national chains because of the reviews and the price. You can't go wrong here.
Very quiet, having a Main Street location! Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Folks there were extremely helpful, answered all my questions (I am new to this area), and offered to help in any way. My room was neat, clean and quiet. I had a view of the tennis courts where I enjoyed watching the players. Parking lot was huge where I could easily turn my 16 foot truck with car carrier attached, unhook, etc., and there was plenty of parking for everyone without being squished. Both shaded and full sun areas. And, the washer and dryer on the first floor came in handy after a cross country trip. As a motel/inn, 5 stars! I would highly recommend Paradise to any weary traveler. Visiting family I don't have room for? I will send them here - short walking distance to downtown:)
We had such a lovely time staying at Paradise Inn. We took advantage of the lovely private pool surrounded by beautiful landscaping. The owner was cordial and welcoming. We look forward to staying there while our daughter attends Bennington College; only 10 mins away.
