Had a bit of a rough go with this one. Stiff mattresses, pretty flat pillows, honestly felt we slept on the floor. We were told no breakfast or pools due to COVID - but others in the area were offering these amenities, not individually packaged anything, and the lobby wasn’t even open to hotel patrons. Disappointed.

Checked into my hotel at 2pm heading to Burlington so I wouldn't have to bother the staff late. Got to the room at midnight and found the sheets slept in, unchanged, stained, dirty towels on the floor, the tip for the "maids" still on the night stand with their key. Tried getting to the lobby (locked) stood outside for 15 minutes in 10 degrees to try and call the front desk off their phone which does NOT work. Had to hold down the phone and call with my cell phone only to be denied a refund and am currently waiting while he "cleans" the room. Changed the sheets and left. Soap is still used in the bathroom, dirty towels still on the floor and 0 compensation. Will never stay again and will warn future Vermont travelers to stay away. Highly disappointing.

The man at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. Door lock was tricky to operate. Window was cracked. Room was nice and large but had a very bad smell. We went to a local drug store to purchase disinfectant/deodoriser. Carpet looked dingy, Bathroom door did not close. We stayed here because no other motel was available. We are not fancy people but in our opinion this place was pretty bad. Breakfast was okay, basic cereal and juice thing. Coffee was good.

We stay in the Barre area frequently for Norwich hockey games. We've driven by the Hollow several times and wondered about it. We booked a room for a last minute trip and were pleasantly surprised! Easy check-in and the proprietor is very nice. The room decor is dated but everything was clean and functional. I am a housekeeping supervisor and it passed my inspection! Beds were comfortable, and the room was large with mini fridge, coffeemaker, microwave and a separate counter with a sink and two-burner cooktop. Soap, shampoo, lotion and tissues were all provided. There was even a small patio at the back. We will definitely stay again.

What a pleasant surprise! This has been renovated and is very nice, clean and was a great stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. We brought a bus group here not really knowing what to expect but everyone was pleased. I’m not sure what the previous reviews were talking about concerning negatives, but we would definitely stay here again

Was to stay there night of the 3rd, only got as far as the parking lot, place was run down and dirty, the curtains were torn and dirty just looking through the windows from the outside. I’m a blue collar guy and drive an 11 year old car so I wasn’t expecting the Ritz but no way were my wife and I staying in this dump. They charged me for the room anyway and this review is the result, frankly I saw nothing in Barre that was decent and we ended up at a nice place in Stowe. Don’t go here ever

Good size rooms in good condition if you stay in the reception block. Balcony with sliding door with a bug screen so was nice to have moving air .Microwave and bigger fridge with a freezer. The gym was average, breakfast average and the spa pool the same but the swimming pool has a new dark blue liner and was so clear and clean it was brilliant. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. I'd stay again

My husband and I stayed there last night because we had a wedding to go to, the only complaint I really have is by 8:45 a.m. there was only bagels, english muffins and cereal left. We were looking forward to having a nice breakfast and ended up having to go to McDonald's to get food. The staff are very nice and the pool/jacuzzi area were amazing

Very poor maintenance has led to a bad experience. Pull out couch was 100% unusable, lack of extra linens/towels, one window had a screen....needed to open the windows due to a sewer smell, not sure what it was but it was terrible. Blistered and peeling paint due to water damage, everything completely out dated. We booked 2 rooms as we had family members coming and the chairs in both rooms were noticeably dirty. No one would sit in them. Didn’t want to touch the door knobs. We will absolutely never return.

What a lovely place to stay. The check in was easy. Parking was ample. The standard king room was large with plenty of space plus a little kitchenette. There is a lot to do in the area so we were not bored at all. People were very friendly, too. Continental breakfast was included. We would highly recommend this place.
