This adult only, all inclusive quaint resort tucked on 300 forested acres is the impeccable Twin Farms , one of the greatest boutique properties around the hinterland of Vermont. There are plenty of walking trails, meadows and lands to explore and it even has it's own private ski hill. There is house tennis courts, an on-site pond for swimming and canoe rides and all the best that the Green Mountains has to offer by way of hiking and biking as well as astounding scenery throughout. To add more relaxation to the surroundings one can check into the Bridge House Spa to enjoy the bliss of a detoxifying body wrap or as I did with a signature massage to smooth up my muscles from a day on the slopes. The accommodations at the Twin Farms are as striking as the scenery. The property is chucked with impressive abodes which range from rooms in the Main House and lodge to multi-level cottages. Digs are outfitted with fireplaces, fully stocked refrigerators, satellite tv, screen porches and private hot tubs. I was privy to the Aviary cottage, a modern, 2-storey stunner fabricated of glass, steel and cedar. My room was expertly accented with displayed antiques and masterfully curated artworks with a shot of whimsical amenities. The chamber was also architected with a stone hot tub set in front of the fireplace with a sleek backdrop of ravishing views. The bath was spacious with a deep free standing tub, separate shower and spiffy toiletries. Twin Farms embraces the trendy farm-to-table movement and the chef makes a special menu every single day (which means there is really no menu). Every food request is elegant prepared and the cuisine is absolutely fantastic. The highly seasonal food fare is drawn from Vermont produce, meats and dairy and a wine cellar weighing in at an astounding 15000 bottles. All these culinary factors contribute to award winning dining when coupled to legendary service. So if your looking for fresh mountain air, beautiful scenery, a get-away-from-it-all vibe, a superb set of accommodations with service over the top..........then try .......Twin Farms..........Eloquent Accommodations and Peace & Quiet.…
My husband and I just got back from a 4 night stay at Twin Farms and it exceeded all our expectations. We were looking for somewhere special we could drive to for our Honeymoon during the pandemic and found Twin Farms. At first we were hesitant to book due to the price and I had a lot of questions. Casey spent over an hour on the phone with us going over anything we wanted to know and helping us choose the right cottage for us. They treated us like customers even before we booked anything. Once we decided on Treehouse, we booked our stay for the end of January. Once you book, they send you a form you fill out with your food dislikes and any activities that you want to try. It is beautiful there in the Winter, but it seems like any time of year would be great. The service is unbelievable all around. Every single person we spoke to was nice and helpful and answered all our questions. There are too many people to name here, but literally every single person who works at Twin Farms is wonderful. It's also obvious there is a lot going on behind the scenes to make the service above and beyond. Everyone seemed to just know who we were and somehow housekeeping always came while we weren't in the cottage which was at different times everyday. The food is also amazing and we loved everything we ate. You can eat in the dining room or in your room. They deliver the food to you in a basket and leave it outside your cottage. It comes fast and the packaging is great. You can order anything you want at anytime and they bring it to you quickly. The chef was also extremely nice. We had dinner in the cellar and he went over everything he was serving with us before dinner so if we didn't like anything he would substitute it for something else. We loved Treehouse cottage, but they all look beautiful from the outside. Treehouse was close to the mainhouse which was great because we could walk there and back for meals easily. In the summer this is probably not as big of a concern. They also offer rides from the main house to your cottage, so this also wouldn't be a concern once the pandemic is over. The only thing i didn't love about Treehouse is that you can't see the TV from the bed. If you are hesitant to book twin farms because of the price, don't be. It is worth the high price tag. We are already trying to figure out when we can go back. This resort definitely lives up to its reputation.…
We had an absolutely wonderful time at Twin Farms and would recommend them to anyone. It is a magical place, especially in the fall. It was our first weekend away from our young daughter, and it was perfect for us. Just as we take care of every need for our daughter, so our every need was taken care of for us at Twin Farms. The hiking and picnicing is really special, the grounds are beautiful, and the food/wine pairings are amazing.
My wife and I stayed here for our 9th Anniversary and really could not have been more impressed. With 3 little kids at home, we don’t get much time alone and it rivaled our honeymoon in Bora Bora. We had a small hiccup with our room and the team bent over backwards to make sure we forgot about it. The service, food, activities and setting created an atmosphere that had us wondering if we were in an alternate reality! We will be back soon.
How do you improve on perfection? It is truly impossible unless you are Twin Farms that is. In a world of uncertainty, change and huge devaluation in terms of customer service, amenities and focus, Twin Farms remains passionate in taking care of their guests. From my last review, not much is different. I am happy to say they added the most comfortable lounge chairs at the pond. They also added some new picnic sites to enjoy one of their infamous picnics (we love taking ours to go, this time we visited Texas Falls and Mt. Mansfied). However the secret is out and now you have to book many months in advance or hope for a cancellation. With only 20 cottages, plan accordingly. I know we are!
Every now and then one is lucky enough to experience the perfect vacation--and I would say that my stay at Twin Farms was absolutely that!Everything was beyond all expectations I had. My family and I stayed at the Lodge which had every amenity a guest could desire, and we greatly enjoyed such rare peace and quiet, surrounded by the beauty of the lovely green mountains.I doubt whether or not I will ever find a hotel or Inn that would serve the same gourmet meals we had each day. The chef made it look effortless to ensure that my daughter had her vegan, gluten-free food and I had just vegetarian, all while serving food worthy of being framed as artwork and saved in famous recipe books. And the superb wine pairings opened my eyes as to what I have been missing out on all these years when I have stubbornly refused to give up my cheaper Yellow Tail wine.We hiked, kayaked around the lovely lake, and wished we had had one more day to bike-- but we will be back, hopefully in the fall. I am so grateful to all the wonderful staff for making it one of my best vacations ever.…
We stayed for a weekend in May. This is an expensive resort with amazing reviews so we wanted to give it a try. The start of our stay was not as I would have expected (could not get to the room until 4, the person that welcomed us did not offer much information so we really did not know what to do and no one offered to assist with taking our bags to the room). We were also looking forward to the Bee tour and then on arrival were told it was not available. Having said that once we got familiar with the property we really had a great time. Food was delicious and the activities we tried were a lot of fun (electric bikes, fly fishing, pickle ball).
I am happy that I finally stayed here. It's such a comforting experience - relaxing and indulgent. The Aviary cottage is open and inviting and beautifully decorated. The food is scrumptious. I look forward to returning after COVID so that many of the property's amenities can be fully experienced.
This is an amazing place for an adult foodie get away. We booked another trip immediately upon returning home. I would not recommend staying here if: -You want a lively party atmosphere -You don't drink (not that you wouldn't enjoy it, but almost all the wine/cocktails (which are good, not cheap) are included... so if it was me and I didn't drink, I think I would feel like it wasn't a good value
Our three night stay at Twin Farms was wonderful. The beauty of the place and the quality of service live up to the reviews. We stayed in the main house, which had cell service and internet without issues. Each member of the staff was great. They pampered us, but not in a smothering way. Katie in the dining room felt like an old friend by the time we left; her service was flawless. Morgan served up some fantastic wines, (each with a bit of information about the grape, vintage, etc.) Every meal is plentiful and gourmet. At dinner, we sat sat down to and did not have to make any choices- the food just arrived, paired wonderfully with Morgan’s wine selections. Joey and Rachel were great in the restaurant as well. They sent us off with a picnic basket with a bottle of wine to enjoy by the fire – which, was super fun to be bundled up sipping wine by the outdoor fire while it was snowing. Hanging out in the “Japanese’s Furo” was relaxing but The Pub was our favorite place to hang out. It has a juke box and pool table, etc.. We put on some football to watch while playing pool. We like the fact that the use local/VT artisans and merchants to add to the experience. The “Johnson Woolen Mills” fleece lined wool throw blanket and the “Stave” puzzle was something to remember, as well. …
