We Camped here for three full Days in May. When we first got there we had a Site that was too small for my Camper and Truck. The Manager there went out of her way to make sure we were able to get a bigger site that was wonderful for our time there. I can't thank her enough. Zion National Park is only a few Miles from the Campground so I would make reservations early to get a spot.

We stayed here for 3 nights in an RV we had rented (our first time ever in an RV). We had a great spot close to the pool & the showers. We used the shuttle twice to get in to the park, so that we didn't have to move the RV. This was 10 dollars per person each day, so quite pricey as a family of 5, but we were glad this was possible for us to use, We found when we came to hook up our electric that we did not have the right adaptor to do this (the owner we had rented from had accidentally left this in his garage..) We were so pleased to receive help from a member of staff here (Dom) who went to check if he had anything we could use, & when he didn't, he offered to go out the next day to a shop to buy what we needed, & we then reimbursed him. This was so kind, & meant we did not lose any of our time in Zion National Park by having to drive around to camping shops to find what we needed! Really going above & beyond to help us out, & very very much appreciated. We also enjoyed going down to the river & a family lent our children inflatable rings to float down the river on, they had so much fun! A really lovely & friendly place to stay!

Really nice, clean, full amenities including a hot tub and store. It is right next to a really cute swimmable river with great sunsets and sunrises. Loved this place would definitely stay here again. Also has laundry and full hook up sites. Loved it!

The staff at Zion River are great. Office personal are very helpful and courteous. Maintenance staff very helpful. Housecleaning staff does a GREAT JOB, all the building’s and restroom’s are clean, this is high on our list was we stay at different parks. Verizon cell service is not good but that is not the parks fault. Wi-Fi is come and go but I understand the park is working on improvements. We have made reservations to return. GREAT PARK.

This is a quiet, well-run rv park. It is convenient to Zion and offers a shuttle bus for a fee. The camp store is wonderful, and full of nifty things to take home for souvenirs. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The one caveat was no where in the park could we even call out on our cell phones, dangerous if someone in the party has an emergency! Otherwise, I highly recommend this as a great stop on a visit to Zion and before venturing to other National Parks close by.

You can't see on the website if they have a campsite for you or if it's fully booked. You have to fill in a reservationrequest form. So I did. The next problem I had was that I couldn't select 2 rv sites at the same time. So I filled in 2 different reservation requests, one for me+ my husband +our baby and one for my parents. With the note that we prefer to have a campsite next to each other. Both requests sent on the same emailadres and on the same creditcardnumber. Then I received an email from Zion River Resort that they only had one site left (riverside). And in a separate mail (as anwser on the request from my parents) that they were full booked. Because we are travelling together and don't want to spend time on a different campground when were are in America (of course!). I directly sent an email back to cancel both reservation requests. They did, but charge me 10 dollar as cancel fee. I know, it's only 10 dollar. But this is scam. We send them and email back, but as respons they wrote to find there cancellation policy on there website. If this is the way they are treating there guests. I'm wondering how it would be if you're staying there if it already starts like this. I choose another campground and will never recommend Canyon River Resort.

We enjoyed our stay here and would love to return. However, as a working couple that needs strong wifi, it is doubtful we will be back. Cell service is nonexistent. Wifi was pitiful. Frustrating part is we paid for wifi, but connection was so poor we had a difficult time having conference calls or staying online to even do email. Our site was 50 feet from the business center and connection there was fine. They need to have boosters throughout the park and more than one guest connection. In the evening when everyone was back in their campers, connection was nonexistent as everyone was using wifi. Other than that, it is a great park with all the amenities of home. It's also one of the few RV parks open in winter.

Another road trip, another set of RV park experiences... and the Zion River Resort was the tops! Starting with a great location on the Virgin River, and just a few miles to the entrance of Zion NP. The park overall is clean, quiet, and pleasant, with a variety of back-in and pull-thru spots, all nicely separated. Plenty of grass and trees. The resort offers most of the amenities an RV'er would want, only lacking a couple that some of the bigger parks offer, such as tennis/pickleball courts. They even run a shuttle to Zion which is notorious for limited parking/car access. The bathrooms/shower facilities are absolutely the best I've encountered, private, spacious, and clean. Next time we're traveling in these parts we'll definitely stay here again!

This is the 48th park we have visited and stayed for 15 nights – highly recommend it. Clean, convenient, inner sites with concrete pads with nice space, all paved roads, beautiful surroundings, many convenient dumpsters, mature trees, nice store, nice pool, grassy areas and excellent staff are the basis for my review. For staff, two great examples the first hours we arrived. There was a water leak at the post and while finishing set up, a maintenance person was right there to replace a part and give me some excellent pointers of things to do. When settling my account, spoke to Dan who was super nice and again, gave me some excellent ideas of things to do – and we added a couple to our itinerary. The staff worked hard to keep the park clean picking up trash, leveling the gravel sites, and picking up the falling autumn leaves. For the convenience, the park is located on Highway 9; however, if you are sensitive to highway noise, this may be an issue for you if you are at the front of the park. The utilities were in good and had no issues with them. If you are here to disconnect, great. If you want full cellular, WiFi and cable services, this may not be the best place for you – we were perfectly fine. There is no Verizon service in the park and at midday when there were the fewest number of people, the WiFi was marginal/variable with 1.3 – 5.0 up and 0.17 – 1.8 down. There were few cable channels. The one bright spot in this area was T-Mobile with 270 up and 41.5 down (best at any park to date). Two things for the park to consider: (1) signage to better direct people to the sites (saw a number of people driving around lost and me giving them directions. (2) Limiting late night check ins to 10 pm (quiet hours). Had a number of “opportunities” for rude people talking loudly during late night set up including the most recent at 3 am. All in all would rate a 4.7 and would definitely stay here in the future.

Aside from the elaborate, lodge type office and store, nice pool and play yard, there are lots of cons about this resort. The roads are narrow, campsites are very close together and have only a small patch of grass between sites. Some sites are shady, have nice picnic tables and fire rings. The office sends out emails reminding guests not to climb on the rock wall due to rattle snakes hiding between the rocks! What they didn't mention were the bats that swoop down and fly around your site, starting at dusk every night!! There was no cell service, very poor wifi and horrible cabel choices and our satellite could not acquire a signal. We had to drive 6 miles to make a phone call and touch base with family members. The laundry was clean but non working problems with some of the machines. The showers were large and clean and they provided sanitizer for you to wipe down the shower, sink and toilet if you chose to do so. The resort does have a shuttle to Zion National Park that is about 13 miles away, which is convenient. If you drive to Zion, you will go thru town and find many restaurants, ice cream and coffee shops, and lots of places to buy souvenirs. If the sites were more spacious, the roads wider, better cable and cell service I would have given this resort a higher rating.

Thank you for sharing your experience. You mentioned those things you enjoyed and those that posed a challenge. You probably have Verizon cell service because they still won't install a tower through this area to better service. However, AT&T and T-Mobile each have five bars and excellent service. It is interesting because usually Verizon has the more consistent service. I apologize about the cable. We had two channels out and so I called a technician to come and fix them, but when he was done we had nine more channels out. Whatever he did made it worse and now we are waiting on a piece of equipment. Unfortunately I can't do anything about the bats. I hope you enjoyed your visit to Zion National Park and were able to create great memories.
