This place is awesome. Cabins are clean and roomy with kitchen for simple meals. Very quiet and beautiful scenery. Porch on back very peaceful. We definitely recommend it. Cowboy bar and restaurant nearby. Fish Lake about 35 miles away for fishing.

My sister and I stayed 4 nights with our 2 little dogs. Our cabin was just perfect and exceeded our expectations. The owners are warm, welcoming and most accommodating. We had a delightful time and have recommended Pine Shadow Cabins to numerous friends.

I have stayed at Pine Shadows a number of times. Years ago, I had a wonderful idea. I offered to buy one of the cabins to use whenever I could come down from Salt Lake, and Debbie could rent it out all the rest of the time. She laughed and said that I wasn't the first person to come up... More

We have been there many times, and we will continue to go back !!!! It is so quiet and peaceful. The beds are very comfortable and it is great to have a kitchen and a rear porch ....... Even though it is close to Capital Reef National Park, it is still in a private setting. .

I was in the Capitol Reef area for an Arts in the Park event. Deb was great to accommodate my time line needs. The accommodations work well for me. Located at a beautiful spot. It is always clean and cared for.

This a family-run operation. Very personable, clean and comfortable. They have thought of all of the little details, including q-tips in the bathroom! We arrived late and our cabin was left open for us with lights on so we could find our way. Everything you need for a long-term getaway or a short layover is right here. These cabins are... More

My wife and I stayed here on a recent road trip through Utah. Cabin was well appointed and very comfortable. Its about a 15 minute drive into Capitol Reef which was the reason for our stay. It was definitely worth the extra travel time to stay here as compared to the "brand" hotels/motels that may be closer. One of the... More

The hosts were very kind and accommodating and I appreciated having some kitchen facilities: a 2 burner stove, sink and decent size refrigerator. The property was quiet and close to a great area to hike. The night time stars were dazzling.

This is our favorite retreat when visiting Capitol Reef NP. It's remote and quiet and has only a limited number of cabins. Each cabin is well equiped and has enough space to enjoy your own adequate privacy. It's very quiet and one can experience tranquil evenings and endless sky full of starrs. A must stay and high value for money.

Every cabin has a front and back entrance, and a covered porch for viewing the rock formations, the Velvet Ridge, cedars, and pinion pines. As the early morning sun changes its position in the sky, one can sit and watch these sandstone mountains turn bright orange, then coral, and finally almost a pure white. The spacious cabins have two queen beds and a television with VCR. Bathrooms have bathtub with shower. A kitchen affords each guest with the option of cooking in or eating out. The kitchen includes sink, range, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, glass table with chairs, and cooking and eating utensils. ... more   less
