I have been so sadden by my Sundance visit this time. We have been coming the same week for 3 years now. We were so impressed the first time we made it a tradition. This year has not been the same though. I have had to call multiple times to get more firewood and things I asked for from house keeping. The restaurant is closed for breakfast and lunch so I don't get my yummy pancakes and we have up keep leaving the resort to eat. They used to have this awesome guest shuttle service where they would call in a ride for you to take you around the resort whenever you needed it. Now they just have a bus shuttle that wouldn't even take me to my room area. I asked the front desk and they seemed confused that I was asking for a ride. I finally gave up and had to call my husband to come get me and at that point I just felt cold and embarrassed. (I would normally just walk to trail but I hurt my knees). It just used to feel like guests were treated really well. I felt especially taken care, but that is gone. The staff just keeps telling me it's not the busy season so I shouldn't expect services. Again, I have come the exact same time for 3 years. This is the only year that has been a problem. Things were better last year in the height of covid. At least you could still get room service for lunch and rides. Maybe it's that Robert Redford sold it and the new owners are cutting costs (though I'm still paying the same mind you). I really really hope they get it back to it's original quality. I really do love Sundance and I don't want to lose it. I still love the beautiful scenery, the cozy room, wood burning fire, etc.

Jennifer, we deeply appreciate you taking the time to leave a review about your most recent visit. We are delighted to hear that Sundance Mountain Resort is such a special place to you. We are of course saddened to hear that you left feeling disappointed this time. During this years slower season and due to the challenging labor shortage most businesses are faced with, we have been taking a short pause on midweek breakfast and lunch service to provide our staff a much needed break. We are looking forward to resuming full service this winter season. We apologize for any confusion regarding the shuttle services. Complimentary shuttle services to and from your room are available via Bell Staff. We do have a shuttle bus as well that can take you from the top of the resort to the bottom. After speaking with our staff, it is our understanding that there may have been some miscommunication and we are so sorry if that put a damper on your experience. We hope that you will return for your annual trip next year to give us another chance. We thank you for the feedback, as it is the only way to improve and offer the best service possible! All the best.

A friend and I did the full 4 hour zipline and we are both over 75 but in good shape. We were treated with dignity, respect, kindness, thoughtfulness, and carefulness by the most wonderful young people ever. After a hard but exhilarating experience, starting out with light rain, ending with blazing sunshine and fabulous views, beyond all my expectations, we had late lunch at the Foundry Grill. The food could not have been more delicious, and I am a gourmet who has eaten in the best restaurants around the world. I had a pork and cabbage soup and a Three sisters salad, plus flourless chocolate cake with strawberry coulis. A meal to live for!

We could not spend much time here, which is a shame. The grounds are simply beautiful and it is a very relaxing area. Everything is spread out so be prepared to walk, but this also allows you to soak in the beauty. Take the time to visit and relax.

My wife and I loved our Autumn birthday celebration at the Sundance Resort! The sun was shining and the Fall colors were on dramatic display! We could not have selected a prettier time to visit!! We loved the lift ride to the top and enjoyed a late lunch on the summit, overlooking Provo on one side and Heber on the other. But it was the mountains and bright colors that really held our attention. On the way down we hopped off at Ray’s Summit and hiked to Stewart Falls. So beautiful … and we felt we had the trail to ourselves. Lovely dinner in the Tree Room and very comfortable lodging. The next day we enjoyed a Pottery (Throwing) class with Tim and thoroughly enjoyed our time with him! We ended with another Lift ride to the summit … and then the Zip Tour down to the base … traveling up to 65 mph. Art, adventure, outdoor beauty, and delicious food — Sundance has it all!! 😀
