The food was gorgeous although the menu just lists ingredients rather than describing how it’s cooked etc, the scenic setting is amazing to drive through on the way up. We shared charcuterie, warm bread, dirty fries and the sausage for starters then I had eggplant (aubergine) and it was all fab! The vegetable sides are massive but if you don’t like garlic avoid the mash!

We arrived on Feb 26. The forecast was for snow that evening through March 1. They placed us in a cabin that, according to the map, was on the far edge of the upper end of the property. We were told that a bellman would shuttle us back forth between our room and the Main Area (where the restaurants and lift were located). We phoned for the bellman at 8:300 a.m. on Feb 27 and were told that due to the snowfall, they would not be able to get to us until around 10 a.m. , but not worry in that the lift wasn’t opening until that time anyway. When no one arrived by 10:30, we called again. This time we were told they were prioritizing those who were checking out and would get to us as soon as possible. I asked if it would be safe for us to walk to the Main Area and was told it would not be safe. We called again at noon and were told they were short staffed and would get to us soon. At 1 p.m. we decided to chance it and go out. The walkway to our cabin had many steps leading up to it and was about 50 yards from the pick-up area. It had not been shoveled, so we had to trudge through 3.5 feet of snow down steps we could not see. That evening, we were told they were having staff stay the night so they could ensure snow was cleared and guests could be timely transported. Again, on Feb 28 and March 1, 3 feet of snow on the path from our room towsqaa the pick up spot and no one came to shovel despite our requests. I asked the manager, Emily, why they put two sixty year olds out so far if they couldn’t maintain the cabin. She offered to comp one of our dinners. It’s a ski resort; I expected them to have watched the snow report, but they seemed totally unprpepared.

We are appreciative of your feedback and are sorry to hear about your experience. We received unprecedented amounts of snow this winter season, with many records continually broken. Although this was exciting, it posed some challenges. Despite our best efforts, there were days when we were unable to keep up with the large amount of snowfall accumulating throughout the Resort. We would like to assure you that our teams worked tirelessly to not only prepare but also to assist with snow removal on days like this. Many of our team members worked long hours to clear snow early in the morning and late at night, but sometimes despite our best efforts, this was not enough. We apologize for the inconveniences and are sorry that you felt you were not prioritized during this time. We understand the frustration that must have caused. We care deeply about our guests’ experiences and regret that these inconveniences took away from your visit to Sundance. If there is anything you would like to discuss further, please reach out to the resort to be connected with our VP of Hospitality.

We spent three days of skiing and snowboarding at Sundance resort. My youngest son age 10 attended the snowboarding lessons. We stayed in a cabin 1 mile north of resort and because of record breaking snow fall we had to shovel or wait for plow to come so we could leave our cabin. The ski school at Sundance was very understanding when we couldn't make it to our start time due to snbowfall. They were able to split our full day to two half days. And my son loved his lessons. He tried lifts he usually would never try on his own. The instructors were patient and fun. He always wanted to go back. And he left everyday learning something new. His confidence grew and he was eager to snowbaord everyday we were there. My only gripe is during lessons and while our other teens were on mtn the resort has little places for parents to relax and hang out. We ordered food and coffee but where can we sit? They need a bigger lobby, a bigger lounge area. Outside seating when its snowing sideways is not pleasurable. And with snow conditions we couldn't zip back n forth to cabin.

We skied here one bluebird day and had a lovely time. Parking- if you say you are skiing they will direct you to the top parking lot which is far from the main lodge and will require you to put your boots on in your car. There is a shuttle that will take you to the main lodge, but could be easier to park below. Lockers are outside, so we put our gear on in the main lodge and put our bag under a bench which worked out fine. We had lunch at the top which was very good and had amazing views, not to be missed. Blue runs were mostly groomed. Seems like a great place for beginner skiers. Fun place to ski!

Sundance is such a great ski resort for families. It has an amazing beginner’s area with 3 magic carpets and a very gradual slope for the little ones or those just learning to ski. We paid for a private ski lesson (3hours) for my 2 kids (ages 6 & 9) and their instructor, Josh, was amazing! He was so patient and really had them enjoying themselves. Both girls ended up going on the lift and being able to do the green runs for the rest of our trip. We also were pleasantly surprised by the food at the cafeteria. Had low expectations, but the bbq quesadilla was really good. Kids also loved warming up with their hot chocolates! Overall, there was a good mix of runs for those new to experienced. The only thing I will do differently next time we visit is rent equipment offsite as it was very expensive - more than triple what we’re used to paying for basic equipment. We will definitely plan another trip back!

First time visiting Sundance Resort and so glad we did. First of all the snow was at a record level so that provided lots of fun on the hill. Are at two of the restaurants and both were fantastic. The pepper steak has been in the menu for ever we were told. It was very good. Bought fresh bread at the bakery and enjoyed that each day for breakfast. Staff were exceptional. The Owl Pub was fun but tough to get a seat sometimes. Nice micro brews once we were able to get a table though. We will be back for certain and look forward to a summer holiday when one of the music weekends are scheduled.

We went to Sundance last week for a ski holiday with our two teenagers. Sundance is a lovely rustic spot and overall we had a lot of fun skiing. The slopes are lovely and we lucked out as they has heaps of snow and great conditions. I must comment as someone else did that the cabins are not as seen in the pictures. We had a cabin with a loft which said it slept 6. There was room for six but only if two slept on an awful pull Out sofa which has long ago seen it’s prime. The loft had two single mattresses on the floor and you had to climb up a ladder attached to the wall to get there which was super inconvenient. We arrived on a Sunday night and planned to have breakfast at the restaurant on Monday morning. Unfortunately when we arrived at the restaurant we were told it was a 45 minute wait and that there were no reservations available for dinner that evening. We ended up Eating at “the deli” which was not very good. We skied that day and then decided we had better get groceries. There is a bar but our son is 18 so We were told he would not be admitted for supper there. Now for the kitchen. There is an oven but no baking pans, or oven mitts. There was a frying pan but it was only 8 inches so we couldn’t cook a meal all at once for the four of us. Overall it was not set up to be used. We woke one morning and called the shuttle to Take us to the hill. Waited 30 minutes and decided to drive ourselves only to get to The parking lots and discover they were full. We went back to Our cabin and waited another 30 minutes until a shuttle finally showed up. Another problem Is that although I’m 58 and my husband 56, we still needed to bring ID to The bar to get a beer. Of course initially we didn’t bring any identification to the hill ( seems like a little thing but it’s annoying and ridiculous) Overall I found the staff friendly and the skiing good but I would not return. Also, the bathroom is off of the bedroom so anytime someone needs to use the bathroom they have to enter the bedroom

We attended a night "owl-calling" snowshoe adventure with the Sundance Nordic Center. It was a great time and we particularly enjoyed seeing the rescue owls up-close-and-personal. Spike and Brittany are excellent guides. We will do it again next year!

Amaizing little ski resort. I know this year is special because of the amount of snow. What I liked most was the friendliness of all the employees. From the ski rental and school to the waiters at the different restaurants and the ticket office. The mountain is big enough and has all types of terrain. No crowds (low season I guess). 20 minute drive to Orem where there are tons of restaurants and other things to do.

This was my first time skiing, so I booked a lesson. I was put into a group with two other students who also had never skied before. I was doing reasonably well the first hour of the class, but as I started to get tired I started to make mistakes. That's when our instructor, Scott, became impatient and irritable. Every time I made a mistake, he would make rude and sarcastic comments like, "Oh come on!", "What are you doing?!", "Why would you do that?!", and so on. When wearing skis, it's difficult to get up after falling, but Scott only occasionally offered to help and he was visibly irritated by having to do so. The first two hours of the class, we stuck to the bunny slopes, but Scott wanted us to increase the difficulty and go to the actual ski lift. I was completely exhausted and I wasn't ready to increase the difficulty – I needed more practice. Scott starting yelling "HURRY UP!" at me and when I tried to go faster, I fell and pulled a muscle. He came over and said something like "What's going on with you? Do you want to go on the lift or do want to call it quits?" I told him I'll call it quits and he replied, "REALLY? You REALLY want to call it quits?!" After much goading, I agreed to go on the lift. Getting off the lift is a little tricky for beginners because you have to stand up and start skiing down hill at the right time. I was doing fine, but one of the other students crashed into me, dragging me down with him. He managed to crawl away but I was struggling to get up. Then the ski lift chair hit me in the back of the head, causing me to fall over again. The lift chair probably weighs a good 200 lbs, so it hurt! The lift operator is supposed to stop the lift when someone falls, but he didn't. I was trapped laying on my back as chair after chair passed over me. It took a long time before instructor noticed me and had them stop the lift so I could safely get back up. The lift operator at least apologized, but Scott didn't show any sympathy. He only had three students and yet it took a long time for him to notice I was in trouble. Wisely, Scott told me to go slowly down the mountain with him there to help me slow down in case I lose control. But the whole time, he was yelling at me. I made it down the mountain finally but what should have been a fun and informative ski class was discouraging and stressful. I don't recommend booking a ski class here.
