My first stay at a Comfort Inn. I wasn’t too sure about staying here. The rate was so low I thought it might be a dump. I was surprised. Staff was pleasant and professional, room was clean and nicely furnished. The only negative I saw was at checkout. The woman who helped us of was not wearing a mask. I don’t why she didn’t have one, it may be a legitimate reason but it made me uncomfortable.i just kept my distance. I plan on returning on my next visit to the St George area.
We chose this hotel because of good reviews and price. Very happy with this hotel. We thought it was in a more central location than it was but downtown area was just a few minutes' ride in a car. Large and clean room. Comfortable bed. Good price.
The building and rooms are very nice. Location right near I-15 is ideal. However, the staff doesn't wear masks ("personal preference" was the reason provided) and the walls are thin. The latter was less of a problem on weekdays when fewer guests were on the premises. The pool was also dirty, although I had no intention of using it anyway.
We were not told that we were given a room next to the pool. I didn't realize until after we had unpacked. I called the front desk to ask what the pool hours were. Since I was told that the pool closed at 10 pm, I thought I would be fine. At 10:10 pm, the pool was still filled with screaming kids. I called the front desk numerous times and no one answered the phone. Luckily I had the manager's direct line since she had called me earlier. I finally called her to complain about the noise. She said she would take care of it. Although they cleared out the kids, there was a man who stayed out there yelling until 10:45 pm so I called her again and he finally left. The next morning, I was woken up in the morning by screaming kids at 8:30 am. Not the best experience.
3 day road trip and this was the best of 3 Choice Hotels I stayed at and actually the cheapest too. First the great stuff, Big room, included a living room. Nice bathroom with curved shower curtain rod, Great bed, ironing board and iron. Good location, easy on-off the I-15. Good desk and lighting was good. Good TV's but limited channels available. Small fridge available. Things that need improvement were, no microwave, horrible coffee and none available in the Lobby and no breakfast because of the COVID situation. There was a light bulb missing in the bedroom lamp but all of the linens were good. 5 soft small pillows but I would prefer 2 larger pillows. It wasn't very crowded because of the Covid, only 4 other vehicles in the parking area and my moving van. Regardless, I was given the room the furthest from the front desk, honestly. That was fine however my key didn't work so I had to schlep back to the front desk, with luggage, to get a new key. The nice young lady swiped me a new one and I realized she had not swiped the first one.…
