Don’t get me wrong. The hotel is very nice, the staff is extremely friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The deep tub for 2 is awesome. The heated floor in the bathroom is great and the hot tub on the deck was excellent. However, there are several small things that could make this Hotel so much better. 1. There is no valet. This is important because the last thing I want to do in the middle of a snow storm is go find a parking spot and trudge back to the hotel through the wet snow. 2. Outside on the ground level below all the rooms are several restaurants and shops. Some of these play music late into the night and these kind of shops attract a lot of noisy teenagers who literally yell and scream late into the night. This makes relaxing in the hot tub difficult. 3. The divider wall on the decks between all the hot tubs is 3-4 feet tall, so if your neighbors are in their hot tub then you are about 1 foot away from them. Definitely a lack of privacy. 4. DVD players do not come installed in the rooms. You have to reserve one, then lay on the floor to fish around for AV wires under the fireplace only to discover that there are none. Then have the front desk tell you “well they they should be there”. 5. The TV sizes in the rooms is embarrassing. The biggest TV in our living room was 24”-32”. The TV in the bedroom was only about 18” 6. The phone system doesn’t work like it’s supposed to. You press the front desk option and it’s just a busy signal, all the time. Asked at the front desk about it and they said “Oh, some of our phones aren’t hooked up right so you just have to press “0”. Thanks for the heads up. 7. Internet and TV kept dropping out. They need a better provider. If these few things were remedied, this stay would have been 5 stars. This hotel has the potential to be so good, but I think next time we’ll spend the extra money and stay at the Stein Erickson Lodge again. …
There is nothing to tell, this facility is under managed, under maintained and basically one of the worst places I've stayed ever! The rooms are poorly designed with horrible construction and cheap materials. The front desk was rude and covid ha.. they stuffed everyone that weekend in a cubby hole together in one corner and provided no room cleaning with the excuse of covid, there staff treated us as if we were diseased! There was no food on site or even a boxed continental to take. The bed blocked the door, the water thought for the coffee maker was $8.50 which having been offered anything else you might think this was at least free. The jacuzzi was smelled like a toilet which the sewer behind it was plugged? The tiles around said pool where falling off the metal was rusted even on the front entrance. I actually haven't taken the time to proof read this, as i didn't think it was worth the time...…
Our family of 5 (3 kids ages 9,11,13) stayed in the 2 bedroom/3 bathroom townhome for 2 nights. I wish we stayed here longer! We loved it here. The unit was clean, very large and spacious, I could easily see myself living here! The hot tub was a huge hit with adults and kids. The back deck backed up to the trail which we took to the shopping/eating area (5 min walk) and a forest preserve. It was very private and beautiful. Overall very nice and beautiful.
We stayed just one night to ride the bike path. It is an odd place. No restaurant on site. The girl at the front desk was not that friendly and didn’t tell us much about the area. But the room was nice and the hot tub was good to have. For a fairly new place, there were broken screens, A/C could have been colder.
The staff was friendly and the room was very comfortable. We got a room with a private hot tub, which was excellent! We also got a chance to swim in the pool while we were there, which is great when it got hot outside. Steam room and sauna were also excellent. The room is very spacious and had we stayed longer we would have made use of the included washer and dryer. Kitchenette was also great to have during our stay. We did not hear any adjacent rooms which was also fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to our next stay here!
