I booked a condo several months ago for the middle of February 2021. I was coming to Park City with my family for conference. Now, over two months prior to arrival, the conference has been cancelled due to the spike in COVID cases in Utah and the US in general. I called the resort to ask for a refund or credit for another year, however I was told the 20% deposit is nonrefundable. I explained the situation and was told on two separate days there is nothing I can do to other than leave voicemail for the manager, which I have done now twice. They are withholding almost $1000 from my personal credit card for this trip that was supposed to be for work (reimbursable) which will now not take place. They are unwilling to help in this national crisis and I will never stay here in the future for work or pleasure.…
We stayed at the Loft for 3 nights, in unit 26. The unit needs to be updated but is mostly functional. The microwave didn't work but maintenance brought in a counter top unit. The TV sound in the family room was very low - even with the controls at full volume, and the sofa bed cushions had seen better days. BUT, the view was spectacular, the showers were HOT, and we were 2 minutes away from stepping on the snow. I would definitely stay here again, but perhaps in a different unit. The whole experience of being at the village was great, and staff were very helpful and friendly. Just keep in mind that if you order food/beverage here it will be pricey.
Very nice, older property at the bottom of the main ski lift in Park City. We had a room with city view, which was fantastic since the property sits on the mountainside above Main Street. Short walk to the bottom of Main Street -- steep walk back. Some rooms have enclosed parking. If not -- it's outside and first come. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
We have ski a lot, stayed at amazing properties in the Rockies and here Park City. The Loft Village #27 is the closest we have ever been to the slopes. Very comfortable and the views to the Mountain and the lifts are unbeatable. We came with a family of 5 the unit of one bedroom and 2 bathrooms, we are used to staying at condos with 2 to 3 bedrooms, this unit is extremely comfortable and roomy. We love this unit and we will be back for sure. Love it!!!
If you want a place where you can walk in & out during the day while skiing, this is it. The "Lofts" are directly above the shops right at the bottom of Payday. The elevator & stairs are across the hall from Aloha, so if you rent your equipment there, you can drop it off in the holding bin, cross the hall & go to your room. I hadn't processed that at the time I made my reservations for hotel & equipment - just got lucky! We had a 1-bedroom with a sofa bed - more than enough room for a family of 4, especially since the unit has 2 full bathrooms! We stayed in #24, which we found on HomeAway. It is not part of the All Seasons rentals, which means it is not get access to the pool at the Lodge (unless you manage to sweet-talk the front desk - I got lucky with a super nice guy there). Just realize, going to the pool means you have a bit of a distance to walk outside. My boys considered it an adventure. The only downside is that the slopes are groomed at night. And, the learning slope, closest to the rooms, seems to be groomed between 2-3 a.m. If you aren't a heavy sleeper, bring some earplugs. I could swear they are driving in reverse more than forward with all the beeping! Yet, convenience trumps everything for us. When anyone needed a break, he/she would head to the room. Need a snack? Head to the room. Want to go out to dinner? The bus stop is a 2-minute walk. Want coffee? There's a stand right down the stairs. Food at the Lodge or the Mexican restaurant? Less than 2-minute walk. Done with your break? Down the stairs & across the hall for the equipment, then out the door to the slopes. It doesn't get any better!…
Ok, so after you leave your car in the parking lot, the rat race/mouse maze begins. The property is really confusing to navigate and the map board doesn't give very good directionally. The LOFT has the same check in location as the LODGE. So bypass that mistake with my info here. Trying to get to our room with the directions given....lets just say that even with a map the clerk highlighted then retraces her steps, was still confusing and we had to ask for help finding the correct walkway, ramp and elevator. Finally made it to our room after a few minutes on the elevator finding which floor our room was on. Arrived to find a one bedroom/2 bath, full kitchen condo. Only downer was the gold shag like carpet in the living room and bedroom area. Dated. Very dated. Bedding could also use some freshening up as well. Great place for extended stays in the winter skiing months no doubt. We came in June and it was hot and luckily we had AC. Now going to explore and see what stores and dining is available before we check out downtown. …
We decided to move over from the Lodge to the Loft for the convenience of stepping to the sloops and we loved it. We have little ones so they liked looking out at the runs and being only steps away from ski school. Be forewarned it is noisy at night with the sloops being maintenanced so bare that in mind. We stayed for a week and became accustommed to it. There is an ice rink, Rocky Mountain Chocolate and Ice Cream below the lofts so you will park your rental car and will not have to move it again. Stop at Smiths Grocery when you exit the 80 freeway and stocked your fridge on the way in. Try Zoom Restaurant and Prime Piano Bar and Steakhouse on Main Street before you leave Park City.
Wife and I stayed here for four nights mid Feb, and skiied on Park City mountain three days. In terms of ski in - ski out, the location is great. The walk from our condo in Loft, to pick up our skiis at the valet next to payday lift is about 150 feet. The ski rental area is also very very close to Loft condos, maybe 200 feet. The Loft condos are IMMEDIATELY next to the payday lift, I don't think there are any rooms closer to the lift than Loft. Our condo overlooked the base area where childern are taught lessons, with a view of the lower portion of the mountain. The walk to catch the free bus ride into town is about 300 feet, also very convenient. We walked to main street a couple nights for dinner, maybe a 12-15 minute walk. We also walked to the large grocery store in town called Fresh Market. About a 10 minute walk one-way. Now, for the downside to staying at the Loft: This is an older property, and it shows everywhere, inside and out. The furnsihings are a bit worn, the kitchen appliances and utencils are low-end and well worn, the bathroom fixtures are old. The shower in the master had a very tricky hot/cold adjustment, which would raise or lower the temperature periodically during a shower. Lot's of little things which add up over a few days that make you realize the age of the property. Of course, the price for the Loft is less than the Lodge or Park place, so you get what you pay for. One other VERY BAD issue with the Loft: If you stay on the side of the building which has a view of the mountain, you will hear the snow cat machines grooming the mountain late at night and early mourning. Every night. You may even be treated to lights from the machines lighting up your room. We had to hang a blanket over the blinds in our room to eliminate the snow machine lights flashing in our room every hour or so. The other noise from the snow machines is a "beep beep beep" similar to a delivery trucking backing up. This is the noise and light pollution you will hear and see late into the night and morning if staying at Loft rooms facing the mountain. We have stayed in many rooms, in many resorts and never experienced this problem. Be warned! Finally, I booked this room thru All Seasons Resort Lodginh.com. Perhaps they only have the older rooms in poor condition, so maybe try PCMR for your booking to get a better room, but be sure to ask about the condition of the room. Also, I specifically asked the booking agent, Rachel, at All Sasons if there was anything I needed to know about the room which I did not ask about or was not described on the website, and her reply was "no". Well Rachel, now you can tell your customers about the noise/light problem late at night in the Loft.…
I took my family of 4 to Park City for their first ski vacation. (I have been all over Colorado and Utah skiing so I have a decent frame of reference for this kind of thing.) The best part of staying here was without a doubt the location. WIth 9 and 11 year old kids that have never been skiing, being close to everything was very nice. You could literally be on the slopes in under 5 minutes. If you book your rentals through Aloha right downstairs, you can even store your ski's's there over night and not carry anything to the room. We stayed in unit 206 which was dated, many of the electrical outlets didn't work, and the mattresses were horrible. Checking in was a HUGE pain in the rear also. The people were very friendly, but there was no easy way to get all of your luggage to the room. You have to walk a ways, and take a few elevators to get to your room so I would suggest getting to the property late afternoon, not in the evening after a long travel day. Not something you really want to deal with at night with a fierce wind and freezing temperatures. Buy groceries and make yourself lunch every day if you want. The location is so prime that it is nothing to hit the condo in the afternoon for a bit to eat and be right back out on the slopes. Also, don't expect much in the way of maid service, they did almost nothing in the kitchen but did change linens and took out trash. I really doubt that I would recommend a 3 star property to anyone but I will here because the location is so great. If you can get over the possibility of getting a dated condo, and the dated look of the overall property then go for it.…
You could throw a rock from the balcony and hit the Payday lift. So, the location is fantastic. The condo was rented from the owner June directly and bless her for giving a firefighter discount. The condo was 1st class all the way from the sheets, towels, and furnishings. Very, very, clean. We were only 2 couples but there are beds for up to 3 kids we did not use. The condo has 2 balconies. One looking towards Payday Lift from main floor and one looking towards Legacy Lodge from the upstairs area. It was nice to finish for the day and look up and see you are at the condo. Finish to hot shower in less than 5 minutes. The condo came with covered parking but under building next door. The only draw back to this condo is moving luggage and gear to and from your vehicle and the condo. No luggage cart, so several trips required but worth this small headache but at minus 6 degrees we complained a little. Once we parked we never needed to drive again. Bus takes you anywhere you really need to go( downtown, etc,) plenty of shops, ski rentals, places to eat, bars, etc.are right down around you with elevator access in minutes. We will be giving this place 1st look anytime we are playing in the snow of Park City. Note: owner great to work with and returns deposit quickly. Location Location Location is only one thing of many that makes this a jewel. …
