From the time we arrived, until the time we left, we had PERFECT service. Benny and Sebastian greeted us on our arrival, made us feel at home, escorted us to our suite, and made sure that we were fully taken care of. The lead bartender, Adam, Collin, and the rest of the staff made sure we had excellent food and drinks during our entire stay. Everyone there is so friendly.!!!!! it was my birthday, so they set up a bottle of champagne and some wonderful sweets. What a great day!!! Mr . Mattioli runs an excellent operation at montage. We look forward to coming back many times in the future. Keep up the excellent work, team. Do not change anything. You guys are perfect!!!!

This hotel is first rate, the rooms, the service, the amenities, etc. We felt so pampered! The rooms are clean and fresh, the staff is caring. We did the complimentary hike one day and loved it. We went bowling and our son had a blast!

My first time at a montage and I hate to admit it (since I was looking forward to it ) I was disappointed. The hotel itself is beautiful. Nothing better then ski in/ski out. Staff was very kind and courteous HOWEVER not one person has the correct answer to my very simple questions about the resort. Simple things like “ what time does breakfast start” or “ where/when do the shuttle run?” One of my breakfast waiters actually said “ I encourage you to get the buffet today because I am too busy to serve you Al’s carte” For this price point per room this level of service is not acceptable. Disappointing to say the least . Only the front door valet seemed to be on point.

This was our first ski vacation, and wow, did it set the bar high. The resort is beautifully set, with ski in and out access to the mountain. The staff is super friendly and attentive, making everyone feel welcomed. Our kids (7 and 10) had the “best” vacation ever not only because of the skiing., but also because of the multitude of activities they enjoyed. They enjoyed tubing, daily s’mores with several different flavored marshmallows, bowling and arcade at Daly’s, billiards, and of course, interacting with Monty and Murphy, the hotel dogs. The food was amazing, particularly at Apex. The buffet and a la carte options never failed to please, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us on special requests (our son had the tastiest vanilla milkshake he has ever had). I think one of their favorite activities was acquiring their merit badges. The mountain itself is staffed with super friendly people. There was no wait to get onto the lifts, and the conditions couldn’t have been better. All in all, we will be back!!

The hotel has a beautiful location in deer valley. It lacks the feeling of other five star hotels in the area and feels a bit more like a conference hotel. We had to walk, walk, and walk some more up stairs to the sixth floor, through the vista lounge, take an elevator down to the fifth floor to get to our room. It’s a bit strange the obstacle course one must endure to get to their room. However, I must say the room was beautiful, cozy, very comfortable seating area in front of a fireplace (note not all upscale hotels in deer valley have a working fireplace). Views of the snow covered mountain peaks were unreal. Check in was very bumpy with the front desk not able to answer very basic questions. Concierge was not able to really give us a layout of the hotel or a map. We were refereed to the concierge by the front desk when we asked for a map. They could have just referred us to the tv in the room for specific offerings but they didn’t and I discovered that on day 2. Compass sports was amazing with arranging our ski rentals. We were given a number to dial valet for pickup when we were done skiing by the valet. When I called I was transferred at least 4 different times and no one could explain whether a shuttle could pick up at our location. I finally gave up and walked to area in hope of a Uber only to find a montage shuttle waiting. Not sure why no one at the hotel could explain that a shuttle arrives twice an hour at the location. The main problem with this hotel is lack of training. The massage at the spa was not great so I would skip that. The gym at the hotel is huge and amazing. We really enjoyed working out each day and I have to say this was the saving grace of the entire stay. Coed pool and hot tub was excellent and huge.

The Montage at Deer Valley is undeniably a beautiful property. The hotel is expansive and features nearly every amenity you could want at a 5 star ski resort. The problem is that the property does NOT feature 5 star service and the sub optimal staffing is effecting near every area of the resort, making the hefty price tag not worth it (at all)! When I arrived I was able to check into our 3K a night 1 bedroom suite (for my family of 4) before noon which was a pleasant surprise. When I got to the room we were directly above the front of the hotel and they were moving snow with construction equipment which was crazy loud (and I’m from NYC). The room was also not clean. On the back of several of the chairs at the table was smeared, dried cream cheese or butter— at least that’s what I hoped it was. (See pictures). I was moved easily, but the new room was very strange as it was nearly subterranean. In most of the room all you could see was snow (no sky) which was strangely disorienting and again the room was not clean— it was dusty and needed a deep cleaning. (See pictures). The room itself also had several issues from the fireplace and coffee machine being broken to the pull out coach being at a such an incline that my son couldn’t sleep on it. After discovering these issues it took several calls to various departments to get them fixed and when I called the management to alert them to all our issues, no one called back, twice. We ordered room service several times and although most of the food was delicious, there was a hair in one of the dishes (Gross!) and every order was missing item(s) or had something wrong. They took the dish with the hair off the bill, but that was it. With all the issues and spending 3K a night, I would expect more compensation for repeated problems as well as call back from management. Communication was also a huge problem at the resort, as most employees seemed new as they did to not know answers to basic questions like where things were located or what food they were serving (at the breakfast buffet). The property was also not maintained in the way you’d expect a luxury hotel would be. The outside heated pool and hot tubs were beautiful, but in the 4 days we were there (including weekends) the area and chairs were not once cleared (of snow— it is a ski resort after all!) or cleaned. There seemed to be plenty of employees in or around the lobby, but the work of keeping the property running and working well was not happening. The Montage is a beautiful property, but with the service frustratingly lacking, it feels more like a 3 star resort at best. The management seems complacent and the employees seemed to know that service was sub par. Skip this hotel until they get their act together, unless you want to pay top dollar for poor service and dirty accommodations.

We arrived at the hotel at 4:30 pm and were told our room was not ready, there was an "engineering problem". Since we were there for work we needed to get to our room, dress, grab a bite and get into Park City for an event at 6:30 pm. After waiting in the lobby about 20 mins, which is a cold, unattractive space, we asked for a different room. They found one for us, but not sure why they didn't just put us there in the first place. The room was small but nice, but the bathroom amenities (cotton balls, q-tips) were lacking. We had a lovely woman (who's name I forgot) working at the front desk help us get a dining reservation at the hotel for 5:30 pm, we had wanted to eat at 5 pm. When we went to the restaurant is was empty, so not idea why we couldn't eat at 5 since that's when they started serving. The food was delicious and fancy-no complaints at all. As an aside, the food for breakfast in this dining room was good too. We made our meeting in Park City on time and got back to the hotel close to midnight. We couldn't understand why our room was so cold and thought it was odd that we couldn't make the thermostat go any higher. We were already freezing from waiting in town for one hour for a Lyft in town back to the hotel. (Recommendation to hotel: If you know people are in town for an event that runs late into the evening, I suggest having your complimentary buses run later into the evening during those events. Your drivers and bell staff are some of the best staff you have-very nice and helpful people. ) We slept bundled up and were cold all night long. In the morning my husband called to ask why he couldn't get the thermostat to go up, turned out it was broken, not working when the overnight outdoor temp was around zero degrees. Talk about an "engineering problem"! In hindsight, might this have been the same room we were supposed to be in and they just put us there anyway? Also, the makeup mirror in the room was also hanging off the wall precariously. Kind of felt like a dump really. The first cold night when we ordered room service at midnight, they told us they charged for bread, we agreed to the charge, but then they forgot the bread. When we called down to tell them to take it off the bill, they brought up some white bread, the equivalent of crappy store bought bread. The next morning room service accidently dumped the breakfast all over the floor of the room. It was a disaster. Every minute went from bad to worse. The hotel tried to make it up to us by charging for two out of the three nights, but at $3500 (with taxes) per night, this is not what we expected of a hotel that's supposed to be 5 stars. Frankly, we don't recommend it, it's not a high end hotel, it's a conference center hotel that is for people who are selling Herb-a-life or doctor's getting their license credits while they really ski. We've stayed in a few Montage hotels and would consider them 4/4.5 star in general, but at these 5 star prices, this one is at best at 2 star. We are still sorting the bill because things they said they would take off the bill are still on there and then other charges came through after the fact which I've asked to see the backup and have not received yet.

One of the few full-service resorts in Deer Valley (Park City, UT). A mixed experience for us. First, the PROS: 1. Great spa (facility and therapists) 2. Super-convenient ski rental/storage at Compass Sports on property - great service and can purchase lift tickets there too. 3. Location - a truly ski-in/ski-out facility on part of the Deer Valley Resort that is a little more remote (less crowded), but with a good variety of terrain. 4. Courtesy shuttle - shuttles run all day (and well in to the evening) both to the main Deer Valley Resort base (for skiing, lessons, etc.) as well as to Main Street in downtown Park City for dining, bars and shopping. Now, the CONS: 1. The property is a little dated. 2. Rooms are small, for the rate that is charged 3. Food/beverage - the breakfast buffet was fine; our 2 dinners on property were substandard, however, both in quality of food and in service, particularly for the prices. 4. Housekeeping - we stayed for 4 nights. We had turn-down service for only 2 of those nights. Not that big a deal, I guess, but when you're paying $2500 + per night, service should be impeccable. Overall, good but not great. Pricey for what you get.

What an incredible location, price, and atmosphere! Utah is where you want to be at, and Deer Valley offers amazing skiing. The pool and hot tub areas were nice, but the rooms were more than incredible. Unlike many other ski resorts, this resort always has a nice spot in the room for our skis and boots. They also have great spa services, which was very nice after a long day on the slopes. Compared to what I have payed for non-luxury hotels in the past, this hotel offered great value to me and my family for ~$2,000/night. Valet was very quick and had our rental vehicle out within two minutes.

I had the luxury of spending 10 days in October at the Montage. My husband was there for part of the trip and I was solo for part. Our room was beautiful on a lower level with a vista view. A snowy day made it magical. While the resort is beautiful, it was the service that really stood out. At the lounge bar the people that really went above and beyond were Blaire (always a wonderful greeter), Charles (remember to dress warmly), Chad (get his lemon drop martini) and Annissa (good job stocking your car for the warmth). All these people took such good care of me the whole time I was there. Thank you!!! Had dinner and 2 lunches in Bourbon and Burgers, food was delicious and TT was an amazing waiter and very attentive. Ben at the bar was helpful in wine selections and very knowledgable. I did eat a majority of my dinners at Daly's Pub. Naiomi, at the hostess stand greeted me by name the second day there, which is wonderful personal attention. She always had a big smile and a wonderful greeting. Since I was solo a lot, I sat at the bar area to watch Cecil, Kristopher and Patricia make delicious pizzas and the amazing cobb salad. Miguel was always guiding me with my food and beverage choices and was friendly, professional, and attentive. Again thank you to this wonderful group who you can tell really enjoy hospitality. I felt they were my friends by the time I left. The Spa was great! Shout out to Kristie and Becca for wonderful services. Also Monica was a huge help at the front desk. And Curtis always had change for me. My husband and I are already planning another trip next October because of the amazing service we had at the Montage. Thank you so much to everyone!!!
