Calling ahead and asking for a few recommendations, Ben at the concierge made a few things happen prior to us checking in, goodies and wine in the room with a sincere note. We didn't think this would be a family friendly hotel as we came with 3 kids all under 2 yrs old. Twins just turned one and right when checking in, Meghan showered them with love and a few gifts. So sweet. They still sleep with their St Regis dogs. As AMEX Platinum members, we have 4 choices in Park City: (4 that give better benefits and perks) Montage, Stein Eriksen, Waldorf and St. Regis. We typically make the rounds and don't go the same one twice. This changes with this last visit. St. Regis gets the node in the foreseeable future.

My husband and I spent a long weekend at the property looking for a relaxing, kid-free getaway. The resort is beautiful and well-maintained and our Astor Suite was very nice. I would strongly recommend getting a suite as the regular rooms are a bit small and do not have balconies. We didn’t make much use of the very nice kitchen, but the extra living space, two fireplaces and balcony were great to have. However, we’ve stayed at several St. Regis properties around the world (it’s our favorite hotel brand) and felt that the service was not up to the brand’s usual standards. A perfect example is the coffee station in our room. On our first morning, we discovered that the station was not stocked with any sort of creamer, so we called for some half and half (which, to be fair, was delivered very quickly). At another St. Regis, this request would have been noted and our room would have been amply stocked with half and half for the remainder of our stay. Not only was this not the case (we had to call each and every day for more), but the coffee and tea itself was not even consistently replenished - one day, we had to call for more espresso, another for more tea. This was a small annoyance in the grand scheme of our trip, but indicative of the extra emphasis on service that was lacking at this property. We were also disappointed in the pool. While it was understandably crowded given the beautiful weather and reduced capacity due to the pandemic, the loud club music and attempt to turn the pool into a “scene” was completely unnecessary and really detracted from our attempt to have a relaxing vacation. We had no desire to sit by the pool given the music, which we could even from our room, on the completely opposite end of the property. We were generally dismayed by the “sceney” vibe at this resort. We aren’t trendy by any stretch, and we like St. Regis because of its focus on service and tradition, which were lacking here. There were a few other things we didn’t love - like the overly modern, uncomfortable furniture in the lobby, a space that was begging for squashy leather club chairs and tartan throws, and the general “rich and tacky” vibe from most of the clientele (expect lots of in-your-face designer clothing, obnoxiously loud conversations and plastic surgery). Overall, while we had a nice time and the surrounding area is beautiful (we did some incredible hiking), I don’t think we would look to return to this property.

First visit to St. Regis Resort Deer Valley. Was wonderful and relaxing. Nice property like a St. Regis. Of particular note Kyle in the King Cole Bar. Excellent hospitality and attentive service and fun conversation. Also, Jesus and Jeremy too. Terrific service by Javier and Pablo and Christian at the pool. Ben at concierge desk very helpful with Park City recommendations. Thank you! Will be back!

We had a great time celebrating our anniversary at the St. Regis. We came to check in a bit early and the room wasn’t ready but Savina was able to make it up to us with a balcony room. She was especially wonderful to us for our stay. Will be back

My wife and I were searching for an anniversary getaway for and we came across the St. Regis after searching through Mariott properties (we are Bonvoy members). I'll be honest, reading some of the Tripadvisor reviews that emphasized long lines at the Funicular, delays in getting baggage up to the rooms, and long wait times at the lounge had us a bit concerned about booking the St, Regis for such a meaningful trip. However, after a reassuring phone call with Savina at the Front Desk prior to booking, we decided to book the stay.. and we are SO happy that we did. The entire staff was incredibly helpful and courteous. Dara helped us with our reservation and made our anniversary one of the most special celebrations we've had. Savina helped walk through the COVID protocols prior to booking which instilled confidence in moving forward with our stay. Even the little things like Kat and Meghan helping us print documents at the front desk or small talk with Jesus at the bar....everyone went out of their way to make us feel as comfortable as possible during the stay. Yes, there were waits at the funicular at certain times of the day but 1. COVID creates challenges in our lives far more inconvenient than a 10 min wait for a Funicular and 2. the funicular is almost completely avoidable. The property runs shuttles from the top level to the bottom level when the Funicular is busy and if you use the shuttle to go into town instead of uber, you never need to go down to the second level either. We ate Breakfast at RIME almost every morning (the avocado toast is fantastic) and also had a very special dinner there as well. One morning, we did run into an issue where we were sat for breakfast but a server never came to our table for 20+ minutes. We are a little frustrated but the manager was quick to apologize and bought breakfast for us. At the time, it was a little frustrating but I will say that the manager's response and handling of the situation was spot on and is ultimately what is more memorable of that situation. I can only imagine the different types of challenges the staff must face day in and day out with the COVID considerations but they've figured out how to make it work because our stay was one to remember and we will be back.
