Wonderful location in Canyons Village. The staff went above and beyond to make you feel welcome and taken care of. Front Desk staff was extremely helpful and especially Jonah Sorensen. He attended to our every need and questions!
When we arrived valet brought all our luggage to our room. We booked a loft I don’t ski so it was nice for me to be able to watch from my window my family going out. The loft was large and had enough kitchen items to make cooking easy. House keeping was great they came daily wouldn’t know they were short staffed. This is definatly a great spot for skiers the lift is right out the back. The only thing you need to keep in mind is the restaurant within the hotel does not offer the epic pass discount the food was pricey and we wouldn’t have eaten there had we known . Smiths grocery store is not far with some restaurants back by there o would recommend stocking Up there.
We stayed at the Grand Summit New Years Weekend. We had a great stay. We got in very late the date of our arrival and the gentlemen at the front desk said that he was waiting for us. We checked into our room- it was standard 2 double beds, etc. I don't ski but my family does. I knew I was going to be spending a lot of time in the room so I asked Maddie at the front desk if there were any upgrades available. Aside from being so kind and helpful, she not only switched our room but was able to get a friend of ours (who was staying at another hotel) a room at The Grand Summit. The location is excellent. My kids literally walked out of the hotel and hopped onto the gondola to go skiing. It is so convenient- especially if you are out of town or have ski and snowboard equipment to lug around. We will definitely stay here again when in the area!…
Location, Lcation, Location! We were a party of 7 staying in a 3 bedroom loft at Grand Summit just after New Year's and had a fabulous time. The unit consisted of a 1 bedroom with a huge living room , dining room and kitchen. The living room had a pull out sofa, 2 daybeds (window seats) and a 2 bedroom unit with an equally huge living room plus mud room and dryer. Although the decor was more a 90's vibe, recent upgrades were made to bring the property more up to date.. We were amazed at how much room we had to spread out and cook. Rentals & lifts are just steps away so it doesn't get more convenient than that!
Excellent location for skiing at the Canyons and easy access to Park City via the connecting gondola. Stayed the week before Christmas (12/21-12/26) and found it an excellent value ($350/night) for true ski-in/ski-out access. Room and amenities were what we would expect for the price, including free valet parking and ski storage. Personnel were professional, courteous, and responsive.
Great location, walking out to skiing lifts. But hotel room was low value for money (we stayed the week before Christmas, when prices were higher than normal). The electricity in half the room malfunctioned daily, necessitating a call to facilities (who came quick and resolved the issue; apparently a poor fuse in the hallway). Not sure if we return; while location cannot be beaten, expectation for room facilities and overall comfort fell below the bar for the daily room cost.
Stayed here in August with my husband. It was for his college reunion. The suite was incredible with a bedroom with a king bed, kitchen, dining area, TV room & bathroom. It more than met our needs. Coffee & tea were provided in the room. There was a nice outdoor pool with 3 hot tubs. The resort had 1 restaurant open called Redtails. The coffee shop area was a grab & go type place. Location wise the it was about 10 minutes from downtown Park City - not too far but wasn't really walkable. There may have been a shuttle. Since we had a car, we didn't look into that. The resort had both valet parking as well as self parking which was in the garage beneath the hotel.
Our family came for the RMEF Elk Fest & Total Archery Challenge. This was late July 2021 and weather was typical summer weather. A little Rain, A little Sun and temperatures were mid 90's in the day & mid 60's at night. The Staff treated my very well and most all of the employees referred to us by name.
The room smelled dirty and musty like it hadn't been REALLY cleaned in a hot minute. We brewed our coffee in the bathroom and kept our drinks on the balcony since there's no mini fridge. All the restaurants near by close at 7 so if you want anything after that you gotta drive at least 20 minutes or go to the 7 eleven on the corner. We paid two resort fees for unknown reasons. Overall we spent $240 on one night in this hotel and nothing about it was convenient or cozy. We won't come back.
I just stayed here in March. I had booked a 2 bedroom suite that was booked as 2 queen bed and 1 king and a pullout couch. When I checked in they didn’t tell me anything and had changed my room to 2 king bed and a pull out couch. I talked to front desk and they blamed it on their reservation , which was their own company I doomed and had clearly told me the type of room I booked. They told me we don’t have your room and the correct room will be available the next day and they would expedite the room transfer as soon as the other family left. I didn’t argue and went with it. I thought rooms were suppose to be unoccupied for 24 hour due to COVID. But seems this hotel doesn’t practice this safety measure. That night our family of 5 had to sleep 3 people in 1 bed. When we came to sleep we pulled out the couch and found the bed was not made and no sheets and blankets in the room. We spent 40 minutes calling the different extensions in the hotel but no one would pick up at 11:00 pm. The next day I followed up and they said they had all gone to work at another hotel. And it was their mistake for not having the pull out bed made and they would take note on it. They promised the room would be ready and we should pack our suitcases And they would move us to the new room by the time we get back to skiing. We later went to see if the room was ready around 12 and they told us room is ready we want to the room to make sure everything is good for the move and called the front desk expecting to move. They told us we misunderstood and room is not ready and will move everything before we get back from skiing, disappointed we left the room. At 4:15 they finally sent a person to move our suitcases. My kids were back from skiing tired and hungry with no room to go to. When we got to the new room again the pullout couch was not made and no sheets. Again they apologize for their mistake. We asked them to make it up but they said now due to Covid they can’t come to the room and will send sheets for us to make it. We waited 2 days for the sheets to show up after multiple calls. During our stay they had offered 1 room cleaning which we agreed to but they can’t come make the couch? During the rest of our stay we had to make multiple calls to get extra towels, trash removal, and trash bags. Most of the calls were ignored and didn’t result in anything till we called multiple times. I had to follow up with the manager multiple times to try to fix what they did to us. After many calls one manager finally got back and gave us 10% off the first night and waived the resort charges. I felt this was not justified for what hey did to us on the first night. I didn’t argue. Hotel I in a great location but has management troubles and has no control of what you book with them and what room you get. By the way we were a large group of 15 booking 4 different rooms and asked room to be closed to each other. They didn’t promise to do this but would try. Want to let you know not 1 room was near another room and we were spread out in this large hotel. I have booked large parties at different hotels during peak season and other hotels never promises but usually they get the rooms near each other.…
