This is an older property, but our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. No refrigerator, but did have in-room coffee and good free WiFi. No breakfast included, so go to the Flying M - an old-fashioned diner that has great food, including fresh homemade biscuits!

The Purple Sage brings a touch of the past to the present. Reminiscent of Zane Grey's novel set in the Southeastern part of Utah, this small motel is run by a friendly family. It's within walking distance of the restaurants and antique shops in Panguitch. The accommodations are a little older, but clean and quaint.

Clean..ok beds. Air works...there were four of us, we were fine. Very clean, owners were nice and I'd stay here again. WiFi better than our way more expensive hotel in Zion. For a small town, close to Bryce you can't go wrong.

Nice, small hotel. Super clean. More plug ins would have been nice since everyone has electronics these days that need to be charged overnight. Great experience at check-in. Very friendly. Beds were not the best, and the pillows were very fluffy, didn't flatten out much, which I prefer. I would stay again, because it was so clean and very quiet.

When traveling through small towns you are never sure what you will find for accomodations but the Purple Sage motel was a pleasant surprise. After readingy reviews I wasnt sure what to expect, but we found it to be well maintained, clean, and the owners were very friendly. Yes I have stayed in bigger, more modern rooms, but there was... The faded sign said "DD" (that's direct dial phones!). That's a tip-off to the nature of the place. The guy checking us in was nice and very friendly, and the room was clean upon entry. But at the doorway of our room were some sort of seed shells that ended up being tracked into the room. It was pretty cramped... More

Stayed here one night on our way north. Panguitch is aout 6700' feet and was cool in late May, but the motel's heat worked well. Extremely clean, with all the basics including wifi. Comfortable bed. Table and chairs. Quiet. The owner is local, and was easy to work with both via email and in person. The price is very reasonable,... More

Easy and friendly motel reservation for 2 nights by direct phone call to hotel. Owners are friendly. Perfect location for trips to Red Canyon and Bryce Canyon NP, and even the Escalante Grand Staircase (which I hated and was terrorized by the road and we turned around before reaching Boulder). Very nice to have a place to return to. Very... More

We stayed here for three nights, and we loved the experience. The room was spacious, especially for an older motel, and the bed was comfortable. The rate was very reasonable. Each room has a designated parking spot, which we enjoyed.

This is a clean, no frills, inexpensive motel with a comfortable bed that is less than 30 minutes from the BCNP entrance. The owners are nice people that deliver what the images depict. The high rating on TripAdvisor guided us too and we were not surprised. If we return to visit Zion and the grand canyon we will use Purple Sage... More
