I stayed at XbarH Lodge while volunteering at Best Friends. The place is beautiful, clean, and peaceful. Michelle and JC are some of the nicest people I've met. I had my dog with me on my travels and they treated her like family! We were both sad to leave, but we look forward to a return visit.

My husband & I stayed in the Cliffside Room which was comfortably appointed with a wonderful view. Michele and JC are, hands down, the best hosts we've ever encountered and we appreciate their knowledge of the area and of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. It was a pleasure to return to their lodge after full days of volunteering. It was also... More

We recently spent a nice long weekend at the XbarH Lodge. It is everything that we had read on TripAdvisor and more. The Lodge was wonderful, our hosts Michelle and JC were warm, friendly, very well versed on the history of the area and proud supporters of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. We enjoyed their company as they shared the history... More

We have stayed many places with our dog. But, I must say, this place is amazing. From the moment we arrived, our dog was welcomed and embraced. Fresh water was waiting both in the common kitchen area and our private bedroom for him. Where else is a clean, plush dog bed waiting for your dog? Dogs are welcome in the... More

We recently lost our dog, Bubbles(130 lb Dobie) and having gone through the grieving process, decided it was time for a new dog. We support Best Friends Animal Rescue in Kanab Utah, so we decided to visit. The cabins there were fully booked (glad) and they recommended XbarH lodge in nearby Orderville so we rang them up. Spoke with Michelle... More

One of the reason why we chose to stay at XBarH Lodge was because they are pet friendly and what sealed the deal for us was the fact that our dog could stay with Michelle and JC while we fulfilled our volunteer shifts at Best Friends. Once we got there we realized that we were home away from home. The... More

My husband and I stayed at the Cliffside room in the XBarH lodge for three days in August 2015 and were VERY pleased with our accommodations. Hosts Michelle and JC have created a beautifully appointed space and are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and happy to help with whatever they can. I would unreservedly recommend the lodge for anyone... More

My husband and I stayed in Mesa Cabin last spring with our two small dogs, after reading the appropriately great reviews. Along with Zion and Bryce, we visited Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. We were made to feel at home from the very first time we met JC and Michele, and though we took the pups to the parks with us,... More

Our stay at the XbarH Lodge started out well. Michele and J.C. met us when we arrived and helped bring in our luggage. Michele then took us on a quick tour of our Mountain Suite and the Lodge. From that time on, other than a morning wave and occasional sightings they were seldom available. We did not experience the friendly... More

We are truly sorry that you felt the service here was somehow lacking. We are known for our personalized service and friendly hospitality, but unfortunately, once the complaints started coming in about your family's behavior from our other lodge guests, we faced a problem. Anything that disturbs our visitors is taken very seriously and dealt with promptly, however, when the... More

We spent a week in the Mountain Suite while we explored Zion, Bryce, and the north rim of the Grand Canyon. The location of the lodge was a perfect base and a lovely spot to return to after a day of hiking and driving. Michele and JC are gracious hosts and gave us the warmest welcome I've ever received at... More

Tucked away in the beautiful Elkheart Cliffs, the XbarH Lodge offers comfortable accommodations in a unique setting, creating the ideal place for either exploring southwest Utah or just getting away from it all. The XbarH Lodge is conveniently located on US-89, just north of the town of Orderville.
