Detailed Reviews
Our cabin here was very spacious and decorated with lots of attractive woodsy touches. There was some road noise, because of the location in a narrow canyon, but not much traffic after dark so it didn't really bother us.
By far most impressive was the breakfast, which you order the night before and is served in the room. Lots of choices and excellent quality food. We were disappointed that the inn was not serving dinners, but we ate decent burgers at the The Oaks, just 5 minutes down the road.

Great inn tucked away in the hills of northern Utah. Our cabin “Windsong” was spacious and comfortable. Nearby some scenic spots and a stream passes by the cabins . New management (a young family) a d the staff are very attentive and ate in the process making improvements to the property.

This place is amazing, we took a trip to Alaskan Inn with my family to ski snowbasin and Powder mountain. It was perfect, we were served the best breakfast every morning before hitting the slopes. Then when we came back in the evening we could sit in our private jacuzzi tub in the room or one night we used the community hot tub. Not sure what it is but this place just felt special in every way. We will be back in the spring for another ski trip and i cant wait.

SCAM!!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Horrific customer service (expect to be treated like dirt and a criminal just for choosing to stay at their inn.)
Completely deceiving room descriptions. (beware of their river view description on rooms. That does not mean that it's a cabin. IT means that it's in the main lobby but it's not specified like all other rooms labeled as being in the "main lobby". It means it's a small hotel room located "near" the river.)
If you're into reserving a place two months in advance thinking it was a large cabin for you and your family to stay in for a fun Christmas vacation and then get to the reservation to find out it's not a cabin and actually a 400sqft room located in the noisy main lobby, with two queen beds and a bathroom without a shower curtain, then this is your place.
IF you like to be treated like a criminal just for choosing to stay at their inn and wake up first thing in the morning just to be accused of declining your charges on your credit card from 2 months ago.... then you should definitely make a reservation here.
IF you like doing business at a location where you can't even talk to the main manager/owner of the inn because they refuse to let you do so and say that they aren't sure how patient he's going to be with you, this is the place for you my friend.
IF you enjoy being told to shut up, continually talked over and told that you are not welcome to the inn any more and they won't be doing business with you, then search no more you have found your people!
We were basically robbed... $1500 dollars down the drain and not to mention had our holiday vacation completely ruined.
Thanks a lot Alaskan Inn!

We had such high hopes for this place. We booked it as our final stay after a weeklong ski trip in Idaho and Utah, thinking it would be a wonderful capstone for or vacation. We booked a cabin as it looked special which was what we wanted. The checkin and main building was nice ( we especially enjoyed the shuffleboard table). The cabin, however was very dated and run down. The website boasts about a private tub in each cabin. Unfortunately, however, there was only enough hot water to fill it about 1/4 full. Despite waiting for the water heater to warm up to keep filling it, it never provided enough to make it usable. The decor was very strange and dated. Pillows and bedding were terrible. We got one towel and no soaps or shampoo. When we called the front desk to request more, the response was very unfriendly and rude. There were large chips in the paint and the bedside lampshade was torn and in bad condition. We were hopeful for the in room breakfast, but when delivered it was also very disappointing. Rubbery eggs, and pretty much not edible. The fresh fruit was thankfully good. I hope the owners of this inn put some much needed t l c into this place. It is a cool location and concept, just really is in need of some attention.

I believe this lodge is in full swing during the winter—our summer stay was confused and sometimes unpleasant. I received an email, before we checked in, informing me that our room had been changed. That was fine except the replacement room had a seriously wobbly toilet and a sink that would not drain. When we asked fir a plunger, the young woman at the front desk said she didn’t know what that was and went back to looking at her phone. Finally she gave us a new room, but the check-in process was extremely disorganized and we could not, in general, get the information we needed. In the end, the room we stayed in was fine—nothing special (I was hoping for special)—though the breakfast in the morning was delicious and well prepared. We sat outside on the deck and had a lovely meal.

We only went in for breakfast. They do serve lunch too. The breakfast was just average as far as taste or quanity. Almost all of the selections were at $11.00 or more. I had one of the omlets which came with two sides which I chose hash browns and toast. Other sides were available but were an additional $3.49.
The service was just average. It took forever to get another pot of coffee and we finally had to track down a maid to get it for us.
There are plenty of better places to eat in Ogden so we will most likely not return.

My husband and I didn't actually stay at the Alaskan Inn-we canceled our one night reservation in early June, 2023 within the cancellation policy of Hotels.com (which we had booked it thru) due to a change in travel plans. We received a confirmation from Hotels.com which stated we would receive a refund of the night's deposit from the Alaskan Inn. A month later, I realized that I hadn't yet received the refund for the cancellation on my credit card statement. I spoke with Brenda-the manager, who said she had started processing the refund in their system, but was having trouble due to a system update, where my credit card was no longer in their system. I was left with the impression that she just "stopped" working on it. (In retrospect, I suspect the Inn's relationship with Hotels.com had ended.) Brenda said she would try again. I waited a week, and followed up. This time, I spoke with Andrew who said they could only process $500 a day in refunds, but he would try the next day. I called the next day, he said the refund was being processed and he would double check and let me know. (Crickets.) I spoke again with Brenda, who said she needed my address so she could mail me a check. A week later, no check. I called Hotels.com for assistance. They called the Inn and left a vm (which is what frequently happened when I tried to speak with someone at the Inn.) Hotels.com said that was all they could do....and to check with my bank? (For what, moths?) I will never book through Hotels.com again!! I called the State of Utah Consumer Protection and sent their agent a detailed account with dates and who I had spoken with at the Inn, along with printouts from Hotels.com showing the refund was due. This was in July. It took until September for the State of Utah to finally obtain my reimbursement from Brenda. They were very frustrated too. I just received the check today from the State of Utah. The agent had asked Brenda to send the reimbursement check payable directly to me, but she intentionally paid it to Utah, therefore causing more weeks of delay for it to be reissued. You may enjoy your stay at Alaskan Inn, but BEWARE if you have to cancel after they have your money!!! I've never experienced anything like this blatant lack of responsibility and disrespect in my life, from a travel-related business.

Bad from the moment we checked in! Room key wouldn’t work, the “manager” who had been there like a week knows nothing about anything at the property. Had to get help with key. No WiFi in our room so no rv and barely phone service. Manager doesn’t know why but will check into it 🙄. Booked a simultaneous couples massage through their website. 1 hour at the same time. Went to the massage only one massage therapist and they only scheduled us for 30 minutes. Which had to be back to back because they only had one massage lady. This is what pushed me over the edge!! I would never have booked it or paid an extra $200.00!! Of course manager will look into it. Can’t make refunds and doesn’t know why it happened. Awesome. Breakfast was good and came in a timely manner. Carpet was stained and gross, bathroom was not clean. Website says hot tub on site for use. No water in hot tub. Manager finally got us a refund of $114 for the massage. After arguing and waiting 3 days. Overall horrible experience and will not go back!!! Save your money stay somewhere else.

Great little get away. Good food and cozy atmosphere. As advertised. Cabins could use a little update on carpet and bathrooms. But it was clean! Would recommend they make scheduling massages more in advance as we were unsure at check in if we were going to receive one. They made it happen though and it was wonderful! Definitely would recommend and come again.

I have no idea, but it is a great place.
The Cabins have individual Jacuzzi tubs.
We currently serve breakfast only at the Inn, but there are many fine food options within 10 minutes of the Inn.
All of the rooms have a mini fridge and a microwave is located in the lobby.
The Inn is situated halfway up Ogden Canyon at an approximate elevation of 4600' above sea level.
