It’s the only hotel within the park. You check in - very pleasant - you go up to your room, you throw open the drawn curtains that open on to the balcony and it just takes your breath away. Truly jaw dropping. We stayed 2 nights and not once tired of THAT view of our hotel balcony. Up on the 3rd floor so the stars were pretty special. You think the scenery at the front of the hotel is special with the car park - wait till you see what’s hidden at the back that all the bedrooms see. Remember there is no alcohol so had cold alcohol free beers at dinner. Menu was ok and ok choice for our 2 night stay. Complimentary continental buffet which was absolutely fine by us. Good friendly service too. Would highly recommend inckuding the jeep tour booked separately. We loved the whole experience.

Although the price is high and the accommodations, clean and about average, the name of the hotel, says it all. You are there for the view--it's like no other. Our stay was met with cloud cover and showers in the early evening which spoiled our hopes of a beautiful sunset, moon rise and starry night, but oh what a sunrise! The image is burned into my memory forever.

We stayed one night and we loved the experience. The place is full of that ancient magic that you just can't explain. The view from our balcony was amazing. I just hope there was a place to see the night sky, as all the hotel surroundings are illuminated, making it impossible for stargazing. Based on previous comments from other visitors, we stayed away from the restaurant and brought our own food. There was a good mini fridge in the room so no issues. They showed a John Wayne movie at night outdoors projected on the terrace walls. The staff was very nice and helpful. We have a front wheel drive sedan. The staff advised to go only until the start of the loop (not to go all the way around the loop) and so we did. I wouldn't take my car in there again, better to do it with a good SUV. Next time we will plan for 2 or 3 nights.

This place is really professional in every way, Location, Guest services and food is outstanding. I should've stayed one more night, but made the mistake of going to Goulding's lodge (Horrible hotel who have a bunch of people who do not seem to understand the notion of customer services (DO NOT GO ThERE!). I recommend Hotel the View 100%. Goulding's lodge is very unprofessional.

The view from my room and balcony was spectacular! But there where a few issues that really need attention. The public entrance doors that were supposed to be operated by guest keycards where open 24 hours/day. My balcony door did not lock and I reported this shortly after check-in and was told maintenance would be sent to take a look straight away (and I gave them permission to enter the room if I wasn’t there)…..no one ever came or called…..I mentioned all this when checking out and was told “Thank You”……not one word of apology. Traveling alone, security is actually very important to me. Also, considering the room cost more than $300/ night the breakfast was very disappointing and pathetic. I would love to return but there certainly some areas that need work.

We loved spending a couple of nights here. We were there when the moon was full but didn’t rise until 11:30 so we were able to see sunset, stars, moon rising and an incredible sunrise. The room itself was very nice. The restaurant was expensive with very average food. We added Monument Valley to our trip later in planning and were so very glad we did! It really is all about the view!

No short review can do justice to the exquisite views at the aptly named View Hotel! The minute we walked up to our premium cabin, we were thrilled beyond words and felt at one with nature and the sweeping Monument Valley vistas. The cabins have been located with care, each directly facing the Mittens and valley. Adding to the charm, there are wooden privacy screens on the side ends of each porch, so you’re shielded from neighboring cabins and night lights that might otherwise obscure views of the gorgeous night sky. We took a fantastic guided tour and drive of the loop but also found it hard to leave our perfect little cabin, which was well designed in every way — it felt like one of the smartly appointed “tiny houses” you’d see on HGTV but with the unbeatable views of Monument Valley added in. The porch was the perfect place to enjoy the panorama to the fullest, gleaming dawn to starry late night, but during monsoon storms, it’s also easy to sit right at the cabin’s main window and still savor the exceptional scenery. The restaurant at the hotel offers carryout from both the main menu and local vendor Linda’s, so eating inside your own room can be a wonderful option. The premium cabins, situated front-row, are worth every penny, but the units behind are well tiered, with parking behind each set of cabins, to prevent cars from obstructing the view, and there’s easy access to the hike trail around the Mittens. Absolutely outstanding!

The View is the only good thing about it! We booked one of the very expensive cabins which was basic but clean and comfortable, the view does indeed make up for the lack of luxury. The staff on the other hand are rude and disinterested it’s like you are a nuisance rather than a guest. Dinner was disgusting my chicken wasn’t cooked, it was raw in the middle, I had to send it back but there was not a hint of apology I just asked for it to be taken off the bill. Everything at breakfast was pre prepared and wrapped, no service whatsoever. No one wants to help or engage with guests and they appear to be paranoid about covid, masks are compulsory everywhere even outside and they sanitise everything after customers have been near it. If they are that concerned the place should not be open and taking visitors money. My advice would be pay to get into the reservation, do the drive or go for a hike then find somewhere else to stay. It could be a stunningly beautiful stay if the staff actually wanted guests there.

This hotel is priced like a Ritz-Carlton but with service levels that would get a manager at a Red Roof Inn fired. Its employees behave like the folks at the DMV. Workers, including at the front desk, are often on their cell phones. Only twice in three days did a hotel employee greet us in a hallway. Most just ignored us. The Wi-Fi repeatedly disappears. You’ll have to reenter your login and password multiple times a day. What security? Fuhgeddaboudit. The Wi-Fi password is only four characters long. All the outside doors I encountered that claimed to require a guest key were unlocked. The menu in the restaurant looks like a Denny’s but is priced like a fancy steakhouse. Feel like a $21 hamburger? And, like Denny’s, there’s no alcohol. There are signs in bold letters everywhere telling you what you aren’t allowed to do. For example, if you don’t wear a mask, you’ll be tossed out. A mask in June 2022. Really? My recommendation: Drive the Monument Valley Tour Road then keep going.

When you visit a place like this you only generally do it once, so do it well! This hotels location is stuff of dreams... Every bedroom has the spectacular views. From sunset to sunrise it was breathtaking. We had a Starview room which had an large balcony area with 2 chairs and a small table and a huge sky above us. Perfect for just sitting and looking. Across the hall facing the West were communal terraces to watch sunset from. The room was very clean and spacious, with a fridge microwave and coffee machine. The bathroom was big enough great walk in shower with big fluffy towels ( plenty of them too) Dinner inhouse, basic american food, enormous portions and the staff are lovely and keep the areas ultra clean. Breakfast was enough, bagels, oats, boiled eggs, yoghurt etc.
