The pros are: the towels were soft and the beds were clean and comfortable. It was fairly quiet so sleeping was easy. Plenty of hot water for showing. The cons are: the flood light on the out building shines right into the window . There was a broken chair at the desk in the room (1 legs is broken off). The table could not be tightened so it span around while trying to eat.
We had seen that the owners of the Blue Mountain Horsehead Inn were putting a lot of work into their hotel, so we decided to give it a try. We were very pleased with the King Kitchenette and thought the retro-style decorations and amenities were fun and functional. We also stayed a second night in a regular King and were again pleased with the room. Jason, the owner, was fun to talk to and helped us out one afternoon when we had to bail on our camping trip and find a hotel to hunker down in for the night. We would definitely stay there again.
Was pleasantly surprised by our one night stay here. We were just passing through on our way to Arizona after visiting Canyonlands. Our room was very quaint but also really clean and there was obvious attention to detail. The bed was comfortable and the showers were amazing. The woman that checked us in at the front was also very kind and welcoming. Definitely staying here next time we are in the area!
Friendly management, clean rooms, nice showers, and soft beds. We were driving and camping for days coming from Canyonlands and going to Grand Canyon. Everything was perfect for us. I’d recommend anyone to stay here. Thank you for the great stay!
No wonder this place cost me only 65 dollars a day. Must admit that it was okay in terms of cleanliness for that price. However, if I could have, I would have chosen a different place only there was nothing in the area that wouldn’t be too high in terms of prices and still allow for a relatively short drive to all the sightseeing items on my list. Do check out the office – they have some nice maps and brochures there.
We stayed here for one night after a full day of travel. I booked via Expedia and had no issues upon check in. The receptionist was very friendly. We were booked in a room with two windows and close to the highway, but the air conditioning helped drown out any highway noise. The bed was very comfortable. We were even given four large pillows which was nice compared to the multiple hotels we stayed in during our trip that only offered three pillows for two people. It had some cracks in the painting or walls here and there, but nothing to detract from a comfortable stay.
They were doing some renovations and had construction workers in front, so seemed a little busy. Our room and bathroom were very tidy and clean. Mattress was good. If you enjoy road noise, get the rooms in front - about 30ft from the highway. I slept through noise but wife did not. They have quieter rooms in the back. Had a nice little kitchenette with small table, too. I would stay here again, but get a room in the back.
Rooms were average size, clean, but a little dated. Beds were comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Wifi worked well. Stayed two nights while visiting Canyonlands to avoid paying the high prices in Moab.
Made reservation a month in advance. Reservation confirmed the night before stay via online and phone with Innkeeper. Drove 6 hours from Kanab, UT. Arrived at Inn 2:45pm day of stay. Innkeeper gave our room to a guest that arrived before us w/o a reservation. One room remaining at Inn, but told it was double the price we reserved at. We went elsewhere. This Inn NOT Recommended@All!!!
We stayed two days in the colorful newly renovated family room. The room was spacious, bed was king & comfy. We were greeted by two very lovely ladies with great customer service at the front desk. They directed us to some great eateries in town. The town was cute and for the most part friendly. Nice town to regroup in on our trip before our hot air balloon ride in Moab the next morning.
