With Covid peaking in San Juan county and the Utah Governor having mandated masks, I was happy to don my mask and walk into the office to check in. A fellow came out from the back without a mask and checked me in. He was very nice and we talked about the town a bit. He gave me some recommendations on where to find dinner and I went out to see my room. At no point did he put on a mask. I bring this up because living in society we have a social contract that I believe we should fulfill. When there's a virus that is killing people, we owe it to each other to use the available, recommended methods to prevent its transmission. It's like following traffic rules. We do it so we all stay safe. That's a contract we make, and when it isn't upheld, people get hurt and possibly die. I stayed in a single queen room, which was right at the front of the place. I walked in and found a lovely, well-appointed, clean room. Back to the social contract: if the manager or owner isn't wearing a mask, I can't believe the housekeeping staff are required to, either. That left me unsettled as I went about my room. My room and its bathroom were well-maintained and nice, and the price was affordable, so in short the room was a great value. Also, I thought that being right on the street (a highway), the traffic noise would keep me up. I ended up sleeping quite well. The trucks that went by were quite loud but the other traffic wasn't too bothersome. While my room was clean and nice, I'm lowering my cleanliness rating because of the lack of masks and possibly other measures to prevent Covid transmission.…
We booked this place for 2 nights, king bed with a kitchenette. Sounds like some rooms have been remodeled, not this one. Small room with a king bed, mold in shower, tile is broken on corner in the bathroom. There is nothing in the kitchen- plates, pots or utensils. The refrigerator was dirty on the top of the door. Coffeemaker was not cleaned - someone’s previous grounds in it. Cannot beat the price but we chose to move on. We were in the building near the street and it was noisy.
It was pleasant to stay here. The room was remodelled and clan, new furnitures. We had everything we need. Wi-fi wasn’t bad. Friendly stuff. The bad was hard for me. Free parking. I would stay here once again.
We were very nervous about booking a $33 room. Our fears were immediately alleviated upon arrival. This motel was our favorite of the whole trip. The rooms are incredibly cute and comfortable. So much attention to detail. It sounds trivial but two regular coffee packs and two shampoos for a one night stay were noticed. The color coordination of linens and drapes, the cleanliness, the modern look... Check in was easy and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I LOVE this motel and wish we were staying longer.
