Made reservations here not quite knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel had just opened for the season so the pool was not yet available but that was fine because the weather was not opportune. The room was very nice, very clean with good bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again when traveling through.
Monument Valley was on the bucket list and accomodation near the key rock formations was booked and pricey. This little hotel is 20 minutes drive from the main site and 20 minutes in the other direction to Valley of the Gods. We booked for one night but stayed two. Loved it. We got a flat tyre while here and front office, Amber Rose, was the most helpful she could be. Thank you! There is not much choice for eating establishments but there is a cafe on site and a 7-11 across the road. Recommend!
This is located in a very small town, off the beaten path but close to Gooseneck State Park and Monument Valley. The pool and hot tub area overlook the river as do half of the rooms. We also enjoyed the fire pit area that also overlooks the river. It is walking distance to The Swingin’ Steak restaurant, a dining experience not to be missed!
We always look for "mom & pop" restaurants. Hat Rock Mexican restaurant didn't look too busy nor too fancy so we were skeptical. Once inside a sweet young lady took good care of us. Both of us were looking for Navajo tacos to eat. After all...when in Navajo country.... A couple of men were the only customers they had at the time. They each had a beautiful plate with a Navajo taco. That sold me! They were awesome! Plus the restaurant was fairly dark but extremely clean as were the restrooms.
Great place. Clean room. Friendly staff. Comfortably beds. Large room. View of the river. Pool a bonus. Will definitely come back. Only down side was no laundry but that was ok by us, it meant we could spend more time in the pool. Lots of coffee and tea choices. The room reminds me of country homes back in Australia.
