Like others have mentioned, be sure to book an upstairs back side room. You have a great view of the San Juan River. The room was clean and we stayed cool during our stay. The owner was very responsive to text messages. The restaurant on the property is closed so you will have to go to one of the other 2, but they are close by. There is a porch running along the top with an extended sitting area at one end. We were able to sit out and watch the sunset and do some star gazing. We did see bats flying around at dusk, but they did not come close enough to bother us. The owner recommended some sites nearby to see during our stay. The pool area was very nice with plenty of space around to catch some rays. We would stay here again.

We arrived in Mexican Hat after a long day of offroad motorcycling and I was pleasantly surprised by the room at the hotel. The outside doesn’t look like much, but the inside of the room was clean and presented well. The shower was hot and the air conditioning cold. Perfect night after a long day on the road.

A surprisingly good pool, especially for kids! A hot tub, a warm shallow section, and a deeper section (to 5ft) made it easy to let the kids play without needing my help, while adults relaxed in the many comfy chairs and couches in the shade. This is not your average hotel pool, it is really, really nice. The room was good to, but the pool made the stay that much better!

This is a family owned and operated inn with a restaurant on the property. It is one of the few inns and restaurants in the Mexican Hat village. The rooms are nicely appointed and clean! If I had to say anything negative about the room I had it would be the carpet was raised in a couple of spots, and that's about it. I would gladly stay here again. The pool is very inviting and the view from the back of the inn is nice! There's plenty of places to sit and relax on the property and watch the sun set in the distance. The restaurant on the property serves up some excellent Mexican dishes. The menu is small and the process fair for a restaurant attached to an inn.
