This was probably my favourite place to stay in Utah. It is a remote, charming B&B to wind down and take in the beauty of Valley of the Gods. I came across the property online and proceeded to book by phone right away. Luckily, they had room for the one night stay that fit my road trip itinerary. We stayed in the separate stone cottage and were the only guests at the time. Technically, the B&B wasn’t even open as they had a private guest during our visit but they were kind enough to offer the cottage to us. It was perfect! Very comfortable (unless you have mobility issues), private and cute, with a front terrace made for admiring the sunsets and sunrises. We came with provisions and enjoyed a private picnic on the porch. I would not have wanted to drive to off-site dinner venues in the dark, but most people probably wouldn’t mind doing that. Just as long as you’re aware. The best part of the visit was the absolutely amazing night sky with so many stars, I have never experienced anything similar in the world. Mesmerising. I would strongly recommend a stay at Valley of the Gods B&B. It is a unique property that offers wonderful solitude in gorgeous nature. When we arrived we were greeted like we were part of the family coming home! Claire and Gary are the most wonderful hosts! The house is a wonderful stone cottage with a hand hummed old growth wood roof! It is impeccably clean and well appointed. Do not miss sunrise and sunsets! The house is completely off the grid, comfortably off the grid! Gary will give you a tour of the solar electric set up! They have very good cell phone service but no internet service which it totally livable. The morning breakfasts were fabulously delicious and Claire does make the best coffee. We traveled with our teenage grandson Kenny who did not like the first day's breakfast because it contained eggs. The next morning she made French Toast with fresh apple and pine nut topping and fresh fruits on the side! Kenny was overjoyed and finished his whole plate! The most unbelievable feature of the house is the view of the stars and the Milky Way! Do not miss the stars and shooting stars! Claire and Gary provided good suggestions for trips and restaurants. We ate at the Cottonwood Steak house (excellent) and the Comb Lodge (Good) in Bluff, Utah. Thank you to Claire and Gary for a wonderful visit, we will be back! Sincerely, The Wanders…
First of all, Claire and Gary are wonderful hosts. We loved out conversations and Gary's suggestions about where to hike and their knowledge of the area. Secondly, the location is absolutely perfect. In fact, my husband and I want to return just to hang out in Valley of the Gods and hike off trail. The views are breathtaking and inspiring. The accommodations are top notch, immaculate rooms, memory foam comfy beds, great breakfasts. We could not have had a better weekend.
WE had a wonderful stay at this B&B. Very clean accommodations. The drive there was beautiful and located away from everything which made the evening stars beautiful. Monument Valley was only 19 miles away and a must see park. The innkeepers were full of information and made us a wonderful breakfast before we took of on our trip thernext day.
