This was my first time to big rock candy mountain. What a beautiful place! There is so many ways to enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains. Spent the early morning ripping through the trails on our atv's and utv's. As long as you are respectful there is no problems riding on the roads to get to the trail of... More

Thanks so much for the great review, and we hope you come back and see us again. The temperatures the past 10 days or so have been pretty high, but looks like we're getting back to our regular, normal summer temperatures! More

On our tour of Utah national parks, my husband and I had booked a caboose in the Caboose Village. We arrived just after the convenience store closed at 5pm which is also where check-in was. But one of the owners who had just pulled away saw us and got us settled in. We were skeptical about the setting of the... More

We stayed in one of the train cars, #6. It was so cute and clean! We were very comfortable for the night. My husband LOVED the 2 shower heads in the bathroom. This was a great place to stay as it is right on the Piute ATV trail, great for our RZR adventure. The restaurant was not open but we... More

We stayed here pre-season (early May), so the weather was unpredictable. The resort restaurant and most amenities weren't available ( I was prepared because I'd read another TripAdvisor review). We drove around, finding someone down by the rail cars who told us how to check in. The bike path to I-70 looked like fun, but with it being 40's and... More

First, we found as we got there the place wasn't really open. There were my husband and I, and one other couple checking into a cottage for the night. about 7pm and NO one was in sight. There was a note left on the door for us. "The key is in Inn room 7's door and we left the light... More

We stayed 2 nights here on our way to Zion from Colorado. The office had left us a voicemail on after hours check in. We got in after dark and still had a little trouble finding the cabin in the dark. That may have been more our fault as we missed the map on the front window. (frazzled from a... More

Thanks for the review, glad you enjoyed your stay! Big Rock doesn't get into 'full swing' until just before Memorial Weekend,I am sorry you were not informed about that before you arrived. The Candy Mountain Express Bike Trail is pretty awesome, glad you got to enjoy it and hope you come back and visit us. More

We stayed here for 3 days. The cabins are rustic, but the views are worth it. We had a one bedroom cabin, but had plenty of room. There is no closet, but plenty of drawers under the bed. It was very peaceful, fellow travelers were fun. There is no cell service, but there's free WiFi. Cell service down the road... More

The location for this "resort" is great. Marysville in Sevier County is gorgeous with plenty of nature loving activities like specified bicycle and ATV trails, hiking, and a river for canoeing. There is also a small city nearby where you can grab last minute supplies or grab breakfast so it's an ideal family camping area. The actual park is located... More

We booked this room because I knew the train cars had just recently been made into rooms, so I figured it would be nice and clean and new. How wrong I was. The contractor seemed to have gone out of his way to use old materials and his workmanship is terrible. It is such a cute idea to turn these... More

All in all, a positive experience, but there were a few hiccups. When we got to the hotel we were informed that they had had a water issue and the train car I had booked was not available, unless we wanted to go without plumbing. The staff put us up in a regular room, giving us a 20% discount for... More
