My wife and I spent two nights here. Location was convenient to camping friends nearby. We enjoyed the fire-pit, either buy wood at the Outpost or bring your own. Great shower and plumbed bathroom nearby. Closer is a porta-John. Hot days kept the Yurt hot inside, despite the portable AC, but breezy evening coolness brought the interior temps down quickly... We stayed in the yurt at Rocky Ridge and it was great! So much room and the bed was sooo comfy. We loved hearing the cows outside our windows . The yurt has its own porta potty which was clean and odor free and we had access to showers and flush toilets just a few yards away. The hosts are... More

We stayed in the Bronco Buster cabin while passing through the area. The cabin was in excellent condition despite having a visitor book going back 10 years (maybe refurbished?). The bed head and decoration is characterful and not over the top as we had feared. The kitchen is very basic but was adequate for our evening meal and bottled water... More

Great location and excellent service! The cabins are very cute and clean, and the property itself is outstanding- a lovely ranch in a scenic valley. We saw some other lodgings nearer to Flaming Gorge, and were so relieved we hadn't booked them. Wholeheartedly recommend Rocky Ridge! (We stayed in the Bronco Buster Cabin)

They have a new yurt which is just fantastic. Large and roomy and clean with all the amenities (electricity, tv). Follow the instructions that they provide to get to the location as there are no signs. This is close to some spectacular scenery. The Sheep Creek drive and the Red Canyon overlook are just spectacular.

My husband and I totally enjoyed our trip through Flaming Gorge. The scenery was stunning and the wildlife was abundant. The hiking trails were awesome and everyone we met was super friendly. The owners and caretakers are incredibly friendly and helpful! The cabin was truly beautiful, immaculate, and still had modern conveniences. Minutes from the Flaming Gorge and some of the most stunning views I have ever seen. The cabin comfortably slept our family of five. I would HIGHLY recommended visit here!!

Eh....Don't know if we would be back. Cute cabins! Was a little surprised there were only three on the property....down a dirt road in the middle of nowhere. BUT...we brought our food and came ready to grill! Kids loved the cabins... unfortunately, none of us got much sleep. Birds. Oh the birds. There are huge spaces in between rafters outside... More

Visiting the Flaming Gorge area by car, there are four major attractions that should not be missed. This exceptional three-cabin complex is very convenient to two of those, which are an easy drive by car The first nearby attraction, about 5 miles south on Hiway 44, is Sheep Creek Loop, which is a circular drive offering spectacular perspectives and nearby... Rocky Ridge has 3 cabins, 2 with a queen bed and a queen futon/sofa. We stayed in one of those. They are located about 1.5 miles down a dirt road just outside of the very tiny town of Manila, Utah (where there are 2 mediocre restaurants). There is very close access to Flaming Gorge NRA. Because of its isolated location,... More
