The ladies at the front desk were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and nicely appointed. We both loved getting a cup of our favorite Aggie Blue Mint ice cream. We enjoyed the convenience of the campus location. The bathroom is one of the most accessible bathrooms I've ever seen at a motel. The problem is that the entrance to the room is quite narrow and a person can only turn around with a wheelchair in one place on the far side of the bed. That become very tiresome.

We were looking for a place to get away that was still close to our kids. The University Inn was perfect. Rooms were very nice and clean. Coffee maker had hot chocolate, which was a nice surprise. Staff was very accommodating and brought a "brown bag" breakfast by our room each morning. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again.

This was a great Trip Advisor find. Directions to the Inn itself were confusing but we found it!

Check-in was easy. Loved the ice cream samples! The room was small but adequate for one night. We didn’t have any issues with noise around us inside or outside the hotel.

Don’t expect the normal continental breakfast - you’ll be given a $5 swipe card to use at the student center food court in the next building. The little bakery there is really nice. Lots of fresh pastries and yummy coffee!

If you want a unique hotel experience on a nice college campus, this is a great choice!

I was happy to have a hotel room on campus as I was taking my USU student grandson in for surgery early the next morning and it was very convenient. The room was very clean and the bed was of good quality. I would stay there again if the need arises.

Upon arrival my reservation couldn't be found even using the email confirmation. I was asked to step aside while 4 other guests were helped before me. When a fifth guest entered the lobby, I finally put my foot down and asked for the staff to deal with my reservation. Finally a new reservation had to be made outside of the conference block and 40 minutes later I was good to go. Two days into my reservation, I returned from skiing to find that my room card was no longer active. Upon going to the front desk and informing them of what happened the response was "Well that means you're supposed to be checked out." Strangely enough, being that I had confirmed the dates of the stay and the original confirmation had had that directly stated- I was not supposed to be checked out until the next day. Ten minutes later with no apology my card was turned back on. I have 3 pending charges for various amounts and probably had my credit card run 7 times throughout the whole experience. If you don't like being inconvenienced, I don't recommend spending any time here.

While I would consider the staff accommodating, the room wasn't without issue. Right off the bat, the room keys wouldn't work. 3-4 trips back to the front desk and the issue never was resolved. Manager gave me a master pass key for the duration of my stay (at least it worked). Hot water was another big deal. Would take forever to heat and when it did, the hot water pressure was very low (cold water pressure was fine). This made your shower just a dribble. At least this was the case in our room on the 4th floor. Lastly, when I made my reservation, the total amount was $xxx.xx with "(no tax)" indicated before the amount. I realize hotels charge room taxes, but this was not clear when I made the reservation. My initial thought was that since this hotel was owned by a state university, perhaps there were not room taxes. Anyway, the room taxes were added and the total amount was about $40 more than expected. Would have been nice if, initially, this would have been made clear.

Dear Michael, Thank you for leaving us a review and feedback. We regret the experience you had with the shower water. Your stay coincided with our steam maintenance week, and we are so sorry you experienced this downtime. Also, the University Inn is an auxiliary on campus hence the taxes, however if you are a tax-exempt government worker then we have consideration for that. Thank you for staying at the University Inn. Kind Regards,

Front desk staff was exceptional. Our room had everything we needed, very clean, very comfortable. We stayed on the 5th floor, where the included breakfast is served in the mornings, with the standard breakfast offerings. We watched the sunset from the fifth floor lounge just off the elevator. The covered parking was awesome because it was hot out. Went for a walk after sunset, campus was quiet and safe, and so lovely with flowers everywhere. We will definitely be staying here again.

As an alumni, it was really cool to stay on campus. The rooms were clean, but the building is old and in need of being updated. The rooms were a little on the warm side with no way to adjust the temperature, you could only control the fan speed, not the temperature.

USU has 2 exercise facilities within walking distance, the HYPER and the Field House, these could easily be offered as an amenity to staying at the University Inn, but they are not. Additionally, there are food options at the Tagert Student Center that could be included as an amenity but they are not either. Both of these things would go a long way in making this a better place to stay.

One thing we liked was the late check out time of noon.

We have stayed here several times and have always had a great experience. The staff is friendly and patient, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The fact that the hotel is on the campus is a bonus, as there are numerous options for meals in walking distance (including a chocolate factory).
Covered parking (if you wish) is included, but there is also a monitored parking area right in front.
Access to city buses, local events, etc.

We love staying at Uni. Inn and have been booking there since our first child started college in Fall 2000. It is a nice place to fall after traveling from Idaho, after a graduation or wedding or for a nice cool reprieve from summers heat. The free ice cream is a fun tradition that we share with our local grandkids.
The breakfast is pretty good too!
Thanks!

Is there anywhere near the Inn to have dinner on a Sunday evening?
Answer from Mara C
Logan, Utah
Most dining on campus and at other local establishments is closed on Sundays, but there are plenty of other options close by. It’s only 2.5 miles to Main St. and 1400 North where you’ll find chain restaurants like Texas Roadhouse, Chili's, Olive Garden, Noodles & Company, Sizzler, etc. You can certainly take a local cab, but if you don’t mind a bit of a longer Sunday walk, it’s very easily navigated.
