I hardly even know where to start. We stayed here a few years ago and weren't too impressed but it was acceptable then. Came to visit family and decided to give this place a second chance due to proximity to family, but now regretting it. First, check-in was miserable. The computers were having issues and the nice young lady at the desk was practically frantic after about 20 minutes of it. She never got it working and had to just assign us a room without actually checking us in. Said she'd do it once the computers were working right. The lobby was filthy. Wonder if it ever gets vacuumed. The elevator carpet the same and it smelled like a skunk died in there. Door to the room was noisy and hardly closes properly. We can see a slight gap and light between it and the jamb, almost enough to see through. The deadbolt is tricky to use, have to jiggle the door just right. The matresses must be 25 yrs old. The pull out couch sofa... Not for sleeping on, It has to be from the 70's. The sliding glass door is has never been cleaned. Looks like hard water stained. Can't see out. (See photos). Paint peeling and mildew in the bathroom, the toilet handle chain keeps coming loose and we have to lift the tank lid and reattach it to the extremely rusted handle inside. The office chair squeals when you sit in it. I couldn't use it in the morning while the family was sleeping or it would squeal Everytime I moved. The coffee in the room tastes like dirty water. The fridge, (as usual), running but warm and iced up. This is due to them having it in a cabinet with doors closed. I'm surprised they haven't figured out that doesn't want work like that. So we couldn't keep drinks cold. I unplugged the fridge so it could thaw out and later plugged back in and cooling. But will freeze up soon as they close it up in the cabinet again. It'll be warm for the next guest. The pool area was filthy, the pool and hot tub looked to not been cleaned in years. Towel rack in pool area empty. Never gonna make this mistake again. I'll pay more somewhere else if I have to. We stayed at a Budget Inn for a night on the drive here. It was much nicer than this place. The only good thing I can say about this place is the staff were friendly. If you're trying to find a hotel in the Layton area look elsewhere. This is a disappointment.

The outside and the lobby look okay, but the room was absolutely horrible! The sofa should have been replaced about 10 years ago! Carpeting is old and dingy, wallpaper peeling. Walking down the hallway it felt like my foot was going to go through the floor in many places!

We were traveling with 2 dogs and this hotel had great facilities and kept the place very clean and nice. Service was very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were nice and clean. Price was great. There were several restaurants within walking distance which made it super easy.

The beds were nice and clean. Carpeting is a bit run down. Air conditioner nice. Bathroom was not as clean as I'd like. Some smudges of dirt on the outside of the tub and dirt/dust in the corners. Nothing too big. Because of Covid they didn't have Continental Breakfasts. Wish that was on their website because we specifically chose them for the breakfasts as a way to save money. Parking is pretty terrible but doable.
