The Dwellings hotel garners acclaim for its exceptional service and convenient amenities, as acknowledged by numerous travelers. Its prime location near Zion National Park and the inclusion of on-site dining and pet-friendly policies add to its allure, despite occasional cleanliness concerns. Guests are particularly fond of the comfortable atmosphere and the plush pillows that enhance the inviting vibe. The scenic views from the rooms earn rave reviews as well, although the early checkout time and pet hair issues are noted by some.

We booked thru the main site which had a free night special which saved us a lot! The room we got was #14 which was the last available, and I think it was available since it was the wheelchair accessible unit. It was the closest to the great coffee place which was a plus. The staff was very quick to respond to our request to clean behind the couch when we reported someone had left a spill and clothing behind. We appreciated the larger than expected fridge and freezer and the comfortable bed with plenty of outlets for charging phones and devices. The one addition would be an electric kettle to make tea. The place gave a welcome package of snacks and lip balm that was a nice touch. The kitchen had a dishwasher, keurig, microwave and hot place as well asutensils and dishes.

The views are great and there is privacy since nothing faces your windows. The noise from the road can be heard but isn't bad. I would recommend the Dwellings publish a site map so you can tell which unit is which when booking. Unit 18 is the one that is set further out from the road. The adirondack chairs were nice to enjoy the view but it was chilly so maybe adding outdoor heaters would be a great touch. Some units seem to share a fenced outdoor area and some had grills while others didn't so it would be good to spell that out.

As we were visiting during Covid we appreciated how clean it was and that there wasn't a daily maid service.

The location was great since we didn't want to only visit Zion, we could get to other places easily. The hike below the dwellings is really nice and seems like there is a hot springs in the river.

All in all I would recommend this over other hotels for its location and view, cleanliness and value.

My husband, dog and I stayed for 8 days at The Dwellings over the holidays. We chose The Dwellings because it was dog friendly, has a great location, and gave us the ability to spend the holidays together with my sister and her partner safely (staying in different units). The views are beautiful, and the unit is modern and clean! We cooked every night (the smaller units come with a portable cooktop, but we brought our own cooking appliances) and the unit has a full size fridge. The unit came with everything we needed to enjoy our stay and more - our favorite being a vacuum cleaner which we used frequently because of all the sand from our hikes. We enjoyed how close to many beautiful hiking locations the Dwellings is - including one right in its backyard - Confluence Park. We LOVED our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Perfect location for visiting Zion and surrounding area. Located in the town of La Verkin half-way between the park and St. George. The Dwellings location is right on the main road to the park and freeway, and next to a bridge high above the Virgin River. The view of the river and park below made us want to spend extra time on our private deck just to take in the scenery! The accommodations far exceeded our expectations and the room was much roomier that it appears from the outside. A bonus is that it's right next to a popular restaurant that also offers outdoor dining with views of the river. Our room included a kitchenette making it convenient to prepare our own meals; a small grocery store is just minutes away.

We enjoyed our weekend stay at The Dwellings. It was very clean, open, and bright. The self-check in option was a simple process. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and a coffee station which made mornings very easy. The view from the back patio was amazing and just steps away from the Confluence park trail. We discovered some cool finds on the trail, like an old power plant that is being restored. The River Rock Roasting Company located next door, provided excellent service with delicious food. Sand Hollow reservoir and Zion are just two of many places to visit while in the area.

I wanted to love it but in the end felt that it was way too expensive for what you get. We stayed in unit #16 which included a queen bed and a weird couch trundle thing for our kid. Another reviewer said it looks better in the photos and I agree. While the views of the canyon at sunset were lovely, on the other side of the canyon were more developments and an excavator (definitely not visible in the pictures on their website). The decor was trendy but didn’t seem to reflect quality workmanship. Our unit had a very strong cleaner smell that we had to air out. If I were to do this trip again I would DEFINITELY stay in Springdale which is so much more scenic, close to Zion and economical. Parking was good at the Dwellings and the road noise wasn’t much of an issue for us.

Hello, Thank you for the feedback regarding your stay with us. We are sincerely sorry that the Dwellings did not meet your expectations. We definitely want everyone who books a stay to arrive and feel they are getting what they saw online, as our goal is to never have upset guests. We want our guests to have an incredible stay with us and leave their stay with us wanting to return again and again. If you are selecting between Springdale and the Dwellings we understand there is a difference in both location and experience, we believe both have tremendous attributes about them. We feel confident that the Dwellings offers a very unique experience and a great basecamp for travelers seeking to visit more than just the main part of Zion Canyon, for example, if you plan to visit the Kolob Terrace or Kolob Canyons regions of Zion which are some of the most spectacular parts of Zion, the Dwellings is closer to Kolob Canyons and is very close in distance from Kolob Terrace. We are also closer to incredible Utah State Parks such as Snow Canyon & Sand Hollow. If you have any questions or concerns about the Dwellings please take the time to read through our other reviews, and also feel free to call us we are always happy to help make sure you have an incredible experience with us. We were so amazed when we walked into our tiny house! It was a gorgeous combination of simple comfort with exquisite detail. And all in a beautiful and convenient location to have a nice morning walk with our dog down the trail into Confluence Park, to have a coffee roaster and cafe within a block, and to be in Zion in less than 25” minutes. The owner really put in a lot of attention to detail in the furnishings, from the fixtures to the dishes, the pots and pans, utensils (we had a unit with a kitchen) to the bbq, lighter, charcoal, lighter fluid, hot coals receptacle, TVs, movie channels, footstool, plush cozy throw, bar and stools outside overlooking the canyon, even ear plugs. Some reviews have mentioned the traffic noise, and yes, this is on a main drag, but by nighttime, the traffic diminishes substantially and we didn’t even notice any noise. We slept really well. That we could bring our dog was a bonus. The contactless checkin came by both email and text and was easy. We had to reach out during our stay for a fresh lightbulb and it was easy to reach staff.

a modern farm house styled tiny house, a home away from home. This place is located 30 mins from Zion National Park, 2.5 hours from Bryce National Park and 2.5 hours from Antelope Canyon. Everything in this tiny house is well thought out... From the grill, charcoal, dishwashing soaps, hot plate, sofa bed. I love how clean it is. The bed, sheets, pillows are comfortable. The sunset view is great. Laundry facility is accesible 24/7 for $2, machine accepts credit card. No coins needed. I highly recommend this place! Its right beside River Rock coffee, walking distance to an amazing coffee place.

Have been waiting for quite awhile to take my whole family on this experience at The Dwellings. All of our schedules have been hectic and we finally had a clearing to all be together and enjoy La Verkin, it’s surrounding arounds, and beautiful hiking all close by. We were lucky enough to be able to check in 2 hours early, but unfortunately that is about where my positive experience came to an abrupt end. After settling in within the first hour I found multiple cleaning and unsanitary items throughout my unit. I did not bring a pet and respect their pet policy and have nothing against them being allowed to be there BUT there were 3 piles of dog waste in the back patio area. One pile in the turf grass and 2 in the rock area. It’s not my responsibility to have to pick up after previous guests. On top of that there was a completely dirty cup left on the outdoor bar also by previous guests. There was 2 clear plastic storage containers on the small black dining table under the TV. There was a particular Poo smell coming from one and upon further inspection the rolled up dog waste bags had what I believe was wet dog waste all throughout the roll.
The extra blankets under the couch storage area were full of dog hair and patches of what looked like dried up slobber or saliva. (Unwashed for who knows how many stays). All of The dishes were left with water spots and greasy areas on the plates. Having had experience in housekeeping management I believe there is a serious neglect of proper training for the current housekeepers. The sliding doors & windows all needed a good cleaning (dust so thick you could write your own name on them). If you open the storage closets the corners are full of dust and pet hair, the bathroom exhaust vent needs a good dusting and wipe down. I really really wish I could be leaving nothing but a 5 star raving review for what I thought was going to be such a pleasant and positive stay from every aspect of what a stay should be. After seeing multiple areas of cleaning neglect it made it difficult to fully relax and enjoy our stay, I didn’t want to complain to Becca (I’m assuming the owner or manager?) knowing the other units were booked by other guests and a unit change would have put me into a smaller cabin. I have paid far less for hotels and Airbnb’s with superior cleaning standards.
With a bit of outdoor maintenance and upkeep of the backyards/patios along with housekeepers taking time & pride in their jobs this place would undoubtedly deserve 5 stars. Like I previously stated I really wanted and expected nothing but a 5 star stay and to leave a 5 star review but just can’t at the moment.

The tiny house was excellent. With a toaster, kettle, hot plate, microwave and kitchen supplies, I was able to cook meals. The room is very well appointed and uses the space well to maximize the great view — which changed over the day and with the weather. Wifi was excellent. Bed was comfortable. Yes, there is road noise, but a white noise app on my phone did the trick. Our small dog was thrilled to join us, and we had a worthwhile walk down the trail behind the complex to the river (its beautiful once you get there). Location was very convenient for visiting Zion over two days. It was too cold and windy for us to use the outdoor space, but it would be pleasant to do so.

We stayed in Unit 11, we had our own private deck. The views really are stunning. Sunset in the desert is always a winner. We found the space very nicely decorated and clean. The highway that runs behind The Dwellings is busy and very loud until late at night (earplugs are provided). Regardless, we will definitely come back to stay. Units 1-5 or 6 are ground level studios, which look very nice as well. Great place for dogs too!
