The Sun-n-Sand Motel is family run by very friendly and helpful people. They offer great advice on where to find things in Kanab. Pet friendly and even took the time to get to know and play with my dog. This is not a modern hotel. It is old fashoned with character but kept clean. A good place to spend the...

Old but clean rooms. Room was large and had 3 beds - perfect for family of 4. Great value in an area where accom is expensive during peak season. Simple if cosy breakfast with homemade muffins and good coffee. Really friendly host who chatted with everyone and made us feel welcome.

we stayed at the fun and sun motel in mid sept for several days and had no complaints. this is a 1950's motel with it's quirks, not a holiday Inn. our room was clean with a mini fridge, free wifi and cable. breakfast consisted of fresh homemade muffins, pastries, cereal, coffee and tea. Don was very helpful with things to...

We reserved a family room two weeks in advance by phone. We gave our credit card number twice and were given the room number as confirmation. When we arrived at the motel at about 5:30 PM, we were told that we had no reservation because we had not given a credit card number. We made it clear that we had...

You can put this review all over the internet and it won't change the fact that I have the last word! Out of 3 years and 3865 guests a year which would be 11,595 guests that stay with us here at The Sun N Sand Motel this has happened twice (really just once and you but yours was your fault)....

We took a room here when a change of plans brought us through Kanab at last minute. There was nothing else available in town so we took the room despite the high price. The room transported us back to about 1940, and the mattress probably actually was that old. Free breakfast was pathetic. Don't stay unless your only option is...

I will say the same thing that I said on booking.com to you. I would think of it this way, if you would have planned ahead you might not of got the last room in town. The smart people had a nice room. As far as the breakfast goes, pathetic is a harsh word. The fact that most people say...

We booked this hotel for 2 nights and yes it needs some work but its clean good size fridge the best bed we have had in 7 weeks in the USA . Anyone who lives in hot desert area knows that evaporative air is the best and a ceiling fan also is a bonus. The breakfast was better than most...

Highly misrepresented. We arrived late or would have changed motels. First, the bathroom window was missing. Yes, literally, no window. There was a sunscreen mesh thing nailed to a frame shoved in the hole but could have been easily pried out. There was a mini blind but left us feeling vulnerable with no privacy. The bed area had a window...

I'm sorry you feel this way. I will have to say that when you came in my office late that night and told me that you had a reservation with us, I told you that you did not (you never gave me a C/C number to hold the room) and that I still could accommodate you seeing that the town...

For some reason motel prices in Kanab are expensive. This motel is certainly one of the less expensive in town but is still way more expensive than comparable motels that we have stayed at in small country towns in the South West. The motel is very dated. The rooms are small and so are the bathrooms. On the positive side,...

First, very nice family owned hosts. This motel is very basic. If you want to experience true western laid back, no frills motel, come here. The style is perhaps from 70s. Evaporative coolers, no air conditioning. But they do have a ceiling fan which helps. Bathroom was nostalgically cute. Pink tiles on the wall. No fan, they have a window...

My sister and I wanted to do some volunteer days at Best Friends. We picked Sun-n-Sand because it looks like an old Route 66 motel and we liked the reviews. Don and his wife own/run it and after talking with Don, I am sure that it is very clean. I wish that we could have stayed there--after changing our reservations...
