We were greeted by Wes running across the yard with his security team hard on his heels barking and giving us the once over. Once they'd had the tummies tickled and ears scratched ( the dogs not Wes) we were allowed through the door. Our room was exceptionally comfortable with a great ensuite shower room. Due to the rather severe storm on night one there was no freshly baked bread available for breakfast but the eggs were a good substitute. Wes is knowledgeable about the local area and is more than willing to recommend walks, restaurants and things to do. A great place to stay and a exceptionally friendly and helpful host
My grandson and I visited Huntsville for a fishing trip. We decided to stay in Huntsville rather than drive back and forth from Ogden to save on gas. What a great decision. We discovered THE ATOMIC INN and had a fantastic stay. Wes and Kerry are terrific hosts and make you feel like family and very welcome. Then there’s Finley and JoeJoe their two small dogs (Maltese and Yorkshire Terrier mix) who are definitely part of the family. Very well-behaved pups who like to show off their talents like shake and rollover. We have two small dogs as well and this made our visit even more like being at home. Without a doubt, the highlight was having breakfast every morning. Wes has fresh homemade bread ready first thing and fresh coffee brewing. My grandson had Wes’s famous Atomic Breakfast Sandwich and according to my grandson without a doubt the best breakfast sandwich he has ever had. When Wes asked him if he wanted a second one, my grandson got a huge smile on his face and Wes went right to work making a second one. My grandson smiled the entire time. The next morning, we had Wes’s French toast with homemade bread of course and once again Wes knocked it out of the park. Our weekend was very relaxed with fantastic surroundings, good company and a peaceful setting. I would highly recommend THE ATOMIC CHALET. Wes is very knowledgeable of the valley and offers great suggestions for scenery (the local ski resorts) and local eateries. Walt Szarek Kearns, Utah …
Highly recommended! A group of friends and I stayed here for a week to ski Powder Mountain and Snowbasin and loved it --- again! Very convenient to both ski areas, a gracious host who makes a great breakfast -- we will be back.
First of all, we had some additional questions before we arrived, so I emailed Wes about a week beforehand. He responded within 24 hours (less, actually) and was quite accommodating. When we arrived Wes showed us around the place, told us all the rules, found out what our plans were, and even pulled out maps of the area to help us figure out what hiking options were available in the area. He made sure we had everything we needed for the evening. The room was exactly as expected and quite cozy. The shower was one of the best showers I've ever experienced. And the breakfast--the smell of baking bread greeted us when we awoke! Wes was up and had everything ready by the time we came downstairs, and there we plenty of everything. If we had wanted more than what was already there I believe Wes was ready to make it for us on the spot. As it was, even with our particular diet we found plenty to eat. My wife and I have never been to a bed and breakfast before, so we didn't quite know what to expect. As it was, Wes was a terrific host; eager to please, friendly, and determined to make sure we were taken care of. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and it this experience is typical, there are more B&B's in our future. And I have a feeling we'll be paying Wes a visit again. Huntsville is a charming little town, positioned on a peninsula jutting out in the a reservoir. I don't know what it's like at peak summer season, but the town is quiet in the fall. We were there are the leaves were changing, and it was gorgeous, rustic, and welcoming. We went out walking the first night and met one of the locals who was very friendly and took us on a little bit of a walking tour of the back roads. It's probably not for everyone, but for a quiet, cozy weekend getaway, it was practically perfect.…
I stayed at the Atomic Chalet for the Huntsville Marathon last week and had such a great time. Wes is super-accommodating and helpful. The place is spotless and food was tasty (homemade bread). I plan on coming back in the winter to ski. It’s a quiet place and I had 2 of the best nights of sleep I’ve had in a while. He gives his guests space but is also there to provide anything you might need. Can’t recommend this place more.
I can't say enough good about the Atomic Chalet or its owners, Wes & Keri. We stayed there for our anniversary weekend and it was exactly what we needed. Wes' service was phenomenal, the breakfast was so good and the accommodations were cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed a full moon from the hot tub, an afternoon reading books from their small library and a long, scenic bike ride around beautiful Huntsville and Pineview Reservoir courtesy of the bikes Wes keeps on hand. We'll be back for sure!
We stayed at the Atomic Chalet in August and we were highly impressed. The owner, Wes, built it by himself, and his skill is evident in every inch. His wife, Keri, adds even greater beauty with her lush gardens surrounding the house. The ski theme is fun throughout the main floor, but not overdone. The rooms are spotless. They serve an incredible fresh breakfast every day. Homemade bread was turned into the best french toast with fruit. Who does that these days? It was awesome! The owners are friendly without being too in your face. They were there to chat and show us around, and when we needed space, they tactfully disappeared. Excellent service!
The perfect B&B. Gracious and super friendly host, wonderful location, and open light-filled rooms. If I closed my eyes, I might have dreamed that we we staying in a beautiful pension in the Alps. My wife’s favorite at Snowbasin/Power Mountain. Great vibe all around. I rarely give 5 star rating.
Very easy drive to Powder Mountain and Snowbasin. Wonderful host and tasty breakfast each morning. We loved our ski trip and would stay here again. Highly recommended that you stay for skiing these great hills.
We lucked into staying here for a quick ski vacation. Super place! Wes is excellent and runs one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed at. The bed was super comfortable and the pillows were great! Everything is super clean and well thought out. The hot tub was awesome. The breakfast was perfect. We woke up to the smell of bread baking. Wes was very helpful with suggestions about where to go and what to do. We loved all of the old ski memorabilia too. Oh and there’s a pool table. I’m running out of superlative adjectives. We will definitely come back. Thanks Wes! We had a super fun day skiing too.
