They have a fire pit now at the front, it was so relaxing to warm up next to it and look at the stars. The cabin was awesome again, and the food across the street was good. I stayed two nights, I was there only one last time and learned.
The property made for a great "homebase" on my Bryce Canyon trip! It's a 20-30min drive from the park and the grounds are well kept and quiet. The gal at the front desk was very kind! My room was clean and comfortable. They had decorated the property with pumpkins which was a sweet touch! :)
Two-night stay during our early-October nat'l park road trip - we used this as our home base for Bryce Canyon (after Zion and before Capitol Reef). Our 2Q cabin at Mountain Ridge was clean, conveniently located to the parks, and well-managed. The cabins are set up like you'd expect, with gravel roads connecting them. The property sets right off the highway (though it was very quiet at night, our cabin did face a gas station) - so while it's a good place, if you're looking for a backcountry feel, this isn't it. Hatch is a small town, but there is a great breakfast joint <5 min. walk down the street; and the town is only 30-40 minutes from Bryce, so easy to jump back for a midday break from hiking if you need it (which we did). Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, my main priority booking lodging on this trip was healthy and safety precautions, and Mountain Ridge seemed to take all of the reasonable ones : clean rooms, contactless checkin, all communication virtual, no indoor common areas... We checked in late-evening our first night--loved the small-town vibe (we just walked right into our cabin, fully contactless). The room was simple, with two beds, a bathroom with standing shower (no tub), a small table in the corner, and a microwave + fridge below the TV. The room seemed to be very clean and well-maintained. Nights and even days were quiet and it was very convenient parking our car right outside the room. The gas station nearby (which closed at night) was a convenient place for ice and gatorade. Overall a great stay, I'm happy to recommend Mountain Ridge.…
This was the perfect place for me and my husband for our vacation. It was conveniently located to Bryce, Canyon and the grand staircase. The room was nice sized and we had a beautiful view of the mountain ridge. The owner was very helpful and responded to our every need. I would highly recommend this place.
The room was nice because it was detached from other rooms. I did see them go in to a room they were cleaning with a big disinfectant cleaner so that put me at ease. There were very low cases of Covid in any event. They had ample outdoor seating. Chairs in front of the cabin and picknic tables galore. I would definatly recommend and go back. One small minor ping. The door needs to be fixed. We had to lift it up in order to get it to lock. That though is not a reason to give a negative. (Just a way to notify staff to make that adjustment to cabit 19)
