Let's face it, Hanksville is way away from everything. A bit of its charm. Two motels, about three restaurants, and a couple of gas station/convenience stores. This motel is O.K. if you can handle highly fragranced everything - the sheets, the room in general, the motel office. And expect no special treatment as they know they are about the only...

After driving for hours through canyons and amazing sights thinking there would not be a place to stay, we found this gem. Everything was pristine, accoutrements were everywhere. There were amenities such as shampoo, creme rinse and lotion, coffee, microwave and refrigerator. New mattress and surrounds made it so comfortable we would have stayed longer just for the comfort. the...

We have stayed here several times over the years, as Hanksville is a convenient stopping-off point if you are travelling from, for instance the National Parks near Moab and want a base for Capitol Reef 30 miles away. Recently we've opted to stay in one of the cabins, which are very comfortable and private. The rooms are well-equipped and attractive,...

Clean, functional and good service. Arrived late but room was all ready anyway. Front desk helped out with several things over the 3 nights I was there. Great overview of the area with information on sights, food, etc. is provided in each room. Good proximaty to Goblin Valley, Little Wild Horse slot canyons and much more. I would go back...

Hanksville, Ut, is about as far from anything one can get in the USA and was a bit surprised at how good the Whispering Sands was. It was desert (except for one of 3-gas-stations in town) in 3-directions with the only restaurant -- BLONDIE's and quite good in itself -- across the street.

Clean and comfortable hotel, convenient for an overnight stop between Goblin Valley and Capitol Reef National Park. Beds were comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and the breakfast was nice, with boiled eggs, yogurt, cereals, etc.

On our 10 day trip the most comfortable bed we slept in. Nice clean property, very quiet, has a laundry area. Good restaurants in the area recommended by the staff. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

This is the second time I've stayed at this motel. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. The room was nice and modern. Everything you need in a motel. The beds were comfortable. However, the wifi was very sloooooooow. I don't know if it's the motel's problem, or just that the whole town gets slow internet. I...
