Great place, owners are fantastic and can totally help suggest things to do in case the weather is bad (as it was on my trip from 10-15 March 2020). Breakfasts are excellent - it's nice to see that people still care about the food they offer. The rooms ( I stayed in Cabana) are spotlessly clean and well equipped with a coffee maker and small fridge and if the room doesn't have what you want there is a small hospitality room that has everything else. There is no daily cleaning service because the owners value client privacy so one has total privacy. A cleaning request can be made if necessary.
While everything is good about this B&B the owners will hopefully forgive me for saying that the best thing about it is the cat (I'm a cat person as you might suspect). She made my stay that much more enjoyable with her exuberant personality. When I return to Escalante to do more slot canyon exploration I will definitely stay here again.

What an AMAZING place! I’m so glad my hubby found it!

Booking and checkin were easy. The self check in process was simple. The 24/7 guest lounge is great with all sorts of travel info, glasses and dishes, ice, popcorn, tea, some seating, and probably many other things I’m forgetting!

We stayed in the cowboy room and the theme decorating was excellent. It was very spacious and the bathroom was large. It had a coffeemaker and fridge which were perfectly sized. The fridge was off upon arrival and instructions for turning it back on were easy to follow. It cooled down very quickly.

It’s a quiet town, but still earplugs were provided in the medicine cabinet as well as other helpful items just in case!

The property is very lovely with plenty of outdoor seating on our porch or in the garden. There was a hammock too! At night there’s some delicate lighting which looks lovely and helps you find your way to your room.

Breakfast and chatting with the owners is the best part!!! Our first morning we were treated to delicious homemade bread and pear jam. PEAR JAM! They then brought out the rest of the breakfast which had scrambled eggs, potato slices, and artistically sliced and presented fruit (banana, strawberry, kiwi, blueberry, watermelon). Coffee, tea, cereal, milk, and squeeze your own OJ was also available. We got great sightseeing tips. I don’t know if it’s due to current conditions or not but they offered to bring us our breakfast outside the dining room or to our porch. Since it’s only 4 rooms there and people had signed up for slightly different times we ate in the dining room both mornings. The second morning instead of potato we had yummy French toast with a fruit compote squeezed on top, syrup on the side. Instead of watermelon they served us their homemade applesauce!

Since they charge prior to arrival, checkout was super simple.

Oh and the friendly cat was definitely a bonus.

The photo makes you think it is out of town in the country side. It is a good photo of the front, but the back, gardens and rooms are also very appealing and the main St location is a very short walk to most things you might need. Lucky for me, a tire had a slow leak we discovered as we were getting loaded to leave, before breakfast - there was an excellent auto service place across the street that had me fixed up in no time while we had breakfast. The 3 rooms are motel style - in a row going away from the main house so you can have as much privacy as you like, but the owners are very laid back and easy to talk to or not. Each room has a nice prosch and chairs to enjoy the gardens and landscaping out back. Great stay and breakfast - we did not want for anything that wasn't provided.

My wife and I celebrated our 24th anniversary this past weekend and could not have chosen a better place to stay than Canyons B+B in Escalante, UT. Everyone expects a clean room, comfortable bed and friendly customer service as basic standards wherever they stay and Canyons B+B more than meets those expectations. Its the details that make a stay memorable and create the desire to return. Dan and Julie are pro's at the details.
It was such a pleasure to drink my morning coffee on our deck while overlooking their immaculately kept garden before heading to the dining room for a fantastic made-to-order breakfast of which you can choose 6 different time slots of when to arrive for breakfast. And for all of those early rising go-getters, they will have breakfast packed up and waiting for you as you dash to your destination that day. Do you need a wine glass and a corkscrew to toast your special day/event, etc. or a rocks glass for your nightcap sip of Bourbon, a friend told me they have those available also. :)
If its your first time to Escalante as it was ours, Dan and Julie double as knowledgeable day trip planners. Since I want people to read this review I will end it here, but know that I can go much longer in heaping praise on the job Dan and Julie will do to make your stay memorable. Heads up guys we will be returning soon and will be bringing friends.

Thanks again for a great stay.
Anthony and Jennifer

We stayed here for two nights and would have loved to stay longer. My husband and I and our 2 adult boys stayed in The Cowboy and The Cabana rooms which shared a lovely outside porch and faced the beautiful back yard. Danny and Julie are exceptional hosts and gave us all kinds of tips for the local hikes and activities. They prepared a delicious breakfast each morning which set us all up for our active days ahead. We can not say enough nice things about this B and B. It is extremely comfortable, quiet, meticulous and a great base for exploring the beautiful Escalante area. We can't wait to return!!

We got two rooms for two nights, at a great price considering the competition around town at the time. We got rooms Cowboy and Cabana, which share a deck so for those that need two rooms the setup is perfect. The hosts are amazing (gave us great advice & really nice), breakfast was top notch, and overall it is just simply comfortable. It’s on the beaten path in a good way, as easy to get around to see all the area has to offer, but when sitting in the back area of the B&B it feels quiet & serene. We are already talking about trying to come back out here for a week...not just because the Escalante/grand staircase area is amazing, but also because we really enjoyed our stay. It’s a great location to be in the middle of all the national monument has to offer, but feels relaxing with a great breakfast to start the day and great hosts to give guidance and help with any needs. We are grateful we were able to stay here/found this B&B, and already want to plan a return visit in the near future!

I found the Canyons Bed & Breakfast through an internet search as I was visiting Capitol Reef National Park one day and Bryce Canyon a couple of days later. Escalante, UT is situated almost perfectly between the two parks and the drive is absolutely incredible through the Grand Staircase Escalante - the drive alone on scenic Rt. 12 is worth it.

Julie and Dan are amazing hosts as this 4-room B&B that does not feel as claustrophobic as some B&B's I traditionally think of. Each room has an individual entrance, which I very much preferred over the feeling of staying in someone's house.

We spent two nights in the Cowboy room and loved it. The furnishings and themes are fantastic and well done! There is plenty of space and you have everything you need, including a fridge. There is a wonderful sitting area on the porch outside the room and an even better sitting area (with a hammock!) in the central courtyard. It was an incredibly relaxing environment with fruit trees around and lots of gardens. Gorgeous flowers everywhere! There's a super sweet cat that makes her rounds and adds to the relaxed atmosphere.

The breakfast part of the stay was a real highlight. The owners make an amazing light breakfast and squeezing your own fresh orange juice made it all the more fun.

I would go out of my way to return to the small town of Escalante to stay here again. You are worlds away from other places and the stars are amazing at night. It is an enchanting place!

Two couples staying in two of the cottages for 2 nights was an amazing experience! Very remote but delightful Escalante has this great B&B run by a delightful couple. Rooms were spacious, very clean with our own private porch. Our men enjoyed their cigars & cocktails in a location in the garden but away from the rooms or other visitors. Garden was beautiful with fresh pumpkins, strawberries, & tomatoes. The lavender was in bloom and beautiful. The breakfast was delicious starting with the freshly squeezed OJ, freshly baked bread and gourmet breakfast food! Highly recommend !!

It's clear that the hosts put a lot of thought into all of the details in the room and the guest experience. My stay here was exceptional. The homemade breakfast stood out in particular. I'm used to a hotel or BNB breakfast being subpar, but the meal at Canyons was *chef's kiss* The pillows were so comfortable that I'm going to buy them for my own home.

Staying here was a delight.

We loved our stay at this charming bed and breakfast. The rooms were adorable, spacious and very clean. The outside area was our favorite part though - it was so welcoming and such great attention to detail with the decor to create a relaxing environment. The hosts were friendly and knowledgeable about the area and very accommodating of special dietary needs for breakfast.
