We stayed for two nights so we could explore the area. Beautiful room, lovely patio and gardens, breakfast was awesome (especially when you're preparing to hike all day.) Danny and Julie gave great recommendations about the area. If I was going to run away for awhile, this would be my destination!
This was our favorite lodging on our southern Utah trip! We stayed 3 nights at this beautiful, relaxing location. Danny and Julie are super friendly and very helpful with hiking and other information in the area. The breakfasts were extremely yummy and very well presented! Felt like we were dining in a five-star! The property is large and we enjoyed sitting out on our little decks and also in the large common area. We were invited to pick fresh fruit from the yard and it was great to see the variety of fruits and vegetable growing in their yard - which in turn showed up in our breakfasts. From what we could see, Escalante is the best little town on Highway 12 and Canyons B&B is the best in Escalante! Thank you for a really lovey stay! We will certainly return if we are in the area.…
This review is long overdue. My husband and I stayed and Canyons B&B in April of 2021. Danny and Julie were wonderful hosts and I was so glad that we chose their place to stay for three nights. The breakfasts are delicious and filling. The location is great and the room was very comfortable. Each room is uniquely decorated and has a small seating area in front. Fell in love with Mochi the cat, such a cutie! Both Danny and Julie have a wealth of knowledge about the area. Danny told us about the Peekaboo and Spooky hike and although it was outside my comfort zone, I decided to go for it and it is now at the top of my list of best hikes - quite challenging in parts but I'm so glad I did it! Halfway through our drive back to Salt Lake City, I discovered I'd left my purse in the nightstand of the room. I contacted Danny and Julie and they immediately mailed it to me. It was very kind of them to do that. Highly recommend this property!…
I would call this a merger of an Airbnb with a bnb. They don’t service your room but provide a hearty breakfast and lots of helpful tips - the perfect combo for us. We enjoyed hearing their stories and chatting with the other 3 couples staying there which all had similar food tastes and hiking bucket lists.
Two couples staying in two of the cottages for 2 nights was an amazing experience! Very remote but delightful Escalante has this great B&B run by a delightful couple. Rooms were spacious, very clean with our own private porch. Our men enjoyed their cigars & cocktails in a location in the garden but away from the rooms or other visitors. Garden was beautiful with fresh pumpkins, strawberries, & tomatoes. The lavender was in bloom and beautiful. The breakfast was delicious starting with the freshly squeezed OJ, freshly baked bread and gourmet breakfast food! Highly recommend !!
My husband and I stayed at this B&B on July 23-25. It is just the cutest place. We were in the Lodge Room. It is the only room facing the street which was perfect to watch the Pioneer Day Parade. The owners were so kind and friendly. The breakfast was yummy and I squeezed my own orange juice. We will definitely stay here again when we return.
We stayed 3 nights in the Garden Room which is on the corner of the building. We had a little porch off the front and a second porch on the side! The room was clean and spacious. We brought in dinner one evening and watched the Oscars in comfort at the large table in our room. There are lots of lovely touches everywhere from the room amenities and refrigerator to the fresh-squeezed orange juice in the morning and the popcorn machine in the guest lounge. Every guest we met was interesting and we had some very enjoyable conversations. Julie and Danny are a great team. They had so many helpful suggestions about local hikes and restaurants. We went to Lower Calf Creek Falls, Kodachrome St. Park, and Grosvenor Arch -- all great places to see.
This bed and breakfast is so clean, comfy and cozy. Julie and Dan were SO helpful with planning our days in the area and we saw so many things not in the guide books. Delicious breakfast, beautiful garden... Can’t wait to go back!
Stayed 4 nights in the Cowboy room. The beds were very comfortable providing a great night's sleep after some wonderful hiking. Breakfast started with fresh squeezed OJ and included fresh made bread and some really tasty egg dishes. The pancakes were wonderful as well. Dan and Julie made us feel at home and gave us some great tips on local hikes. The scenery in the Escalante area is awesome and there are very few people compared to Zion and Bryce. We did Peek a boo / Spooky slot canyons, the Cosmic Ashtray (thanks to a tip from Dan and Julie on where to park), Escalante River and Lower Calf Creek. All were really nice hikes. Check out the local state park with the petrified forest. The rainbow trail has many many large petrified trees. It was worth the hike. Escalante is a laid back small town with a couple of restaurants (nothing fancy) but fine after a day of hiking / exploring.…
If you're stressed from travel this will be the cure. Relaxed setting, awesome breakfast and very welcoming. The scenery will do the rest. Most comfortable king bed ever! With only 4 units, you fell like the grounds are yours to enjoy, and of coarse, the sunset and drinks brought everyone out on the porches and under the shades. I wish we would have spent more than 2-nights.
