I’ve been anxious to write this review since the moment we arrived. Hands down, a wonderful stay. We stayed in the two bedroom cabin. It was comfy, cozy, immaculate, and had literally everything we needed to relax, unwind and unplug from the busy world from which we’d come. The kitchen was fully equipped, the living room invited us to put our feet up and the bedrooms were quiet and private. Joett was the best part of it all. Her love of the Inn and of the area was clear with every conversation we had. Breakfast was amazing, with family recipes and special touches making everything unique. There was a casual ease to everything she did. We can’t thank you enough for a perfect visit.
We stayed one night in the Casita, a detached building near the inn. The Casita was perfect for two and well supplied. The shower was outstanding. The best part of our stay was the breakfast. Fresh food prepared well and served by two nice women. I recommend the Slot Canyons Inn.
Cannot say enough about the friendliness of the people who run this place. It is about 5 miles west of Escalante and is a very nice Bed and Breakfast. Immaculately clean with nicely appointed rooms. You won’t be disappointed if you decide to stay here.
Though it was initially hard to find in the dark despite the very detailed directions, it was worth it. The inn is located a few miles from town and is very quiet. The location is perfect for star viewing since there's minimal light pollution. Joelle and her staff, Candy make you feel welcome the moment you step inside the building. Joelle gives a guided tour of the inn and shows you where you can find water for your water bottle, artifacts from the property and where breakfast was served. Candy goes above and beyond in taking care of the guests and makes you feel pampered. The room is spacious, clean, has a fireplace and a private balcony. There's daily housekeeping to refresh the linens. Breakfast is delicious. The smell of fresh baked goods wafts up the stairs each morning to tantalize you with what is going to be served for breakfast. The hot breakfast includes eggs and fresh fruit. Escalante has limited options for dinner but the options are all excellent.…
We stayed in the lower Casita, which was perfect for our one night stay. Very clean and comfortable! Not very big but it was plenty for the two of us for one night with all the needed amenities. Very quiet, easy check-in/check-out. A bit tricky to find, there are signs to guide you but GPS had it wrong. Would definitely stay again in in the area.
The inn is really comfortable and beautifully appointed. Our room had a great view, giant clawfoot soaking tub, and the whole area is so quiet and peaceful. The owner was incredibly friendly and kind. Our homemade breakfast was delicious. The only one complaint was the bed, which was much softer than we prefer. Otherwise, clearly a lot of thought and care was put into creating this place by the owner and her late husband. It is a retreat.
A great place to stay in Escalante! This inn is inn-credible! A friendly atmosphere, comfy bed, beautiful views, and delicious breakfast. We would highly recommend Slot Canyon Inn! About 5 miles from town so very peaceful.
Just spent two nights in the Spooky Gulch suite. The Inn is nestled in a lovely spot just outside of town. The kitchen, lobby and lobby bathroom are all updated and nicely done however the suite in which we stayed is dingy and tired. We arrived to a strong odor of cooked brisket in the room which fortunately dissipated by the next day. Sadly the owner never introduced herself but we did spend a relaxing few hours sitting outside enjoying the surroundings. Such a beautiful setting close and convenient to Escalante Grand Staircase sites but not quite the place we were hoping.
Lovely Inn, with Large rooms and very comfortable. Our room had a balcony with gorgeous views. Joette was lovely and Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Homemade yogurt and granola was especially good! About 5 miles from town so very peaceful.
Joette has a wonderful home and we enjoyed our stay. It’s an idyllic location and pretty easy to get around from there. Our room was comfortable and easily opened to the outside and the wonderful terrace. We met other guests and enjoyed the experience. Candi’s breakfasts are awesome and my husband appreciates her extras foe him. We will definitely go back.
