This place is special. The rooms are nice, the location perfect (between a nice restaurant and a fun but laid back bar). But the people were awesome. Bailey and the crew were exceptionally friendly and helpful, going above and beyond, and giving a motel the vibe of a high end BnB or hotel. Highly recommendeds

The room had everything and was clean. The staff, especially Robert was really nice, friendly and welcoming. They made sure we had a nice stay and a fun trip. They also gave us recommendations on where to visit in Escalante, and voluntarily gave us a room in which no pets are allowed so it's cleaner.

Stayed at the Circle D Motel for 3 nights in June 2020. While it's an older property it has everything you need - microwave, fridge, large rooms and they have a fire pit for all to enjoy. The property also has a restaurant attached to it and is also in walking distance to other options in the town. The property has hiking books and maps to research the area and very friendly staff - and even all of the other guests were super friendly! I would definitely return.

We had a very nice room with two queen beds. They were very comfortable. The fully tiled bath ad shower was beautiful and the wall hanging fixtures with soap, shampoo and gel was useful. This place is conveniently located right next to a good restaurant. I would definitley stay again if back in the area.

Great little spot! as far as the rates go everything is expensive for some reason in that little town, but the hospitality of the hosts and the fact that everything as far as hikes are around Escalante makes the place being worth it. Rooms are clean, bathrooms work and are clean, a very authentic rural motel. We will be back. Thank you.

A wonderful dog friendly motel with clean accommodations and friendly staff. Most of the visitors are returning, many come year after year for decades. In the past we camped in the Escalante area and came into the Circle D when the weather drove us for for cover or for a restful break. This year we decided to rent a minisuite with kitchen and use the motel as our base. It worked great!
When my grandchild was born early and we needed to cut our visit short, Robert the manager changed our reservation without complaints. What a pleasure to stay in such a friendly place!

I had stayed here in 2004, now back in 2020 I was a bit disappointed as it was the second most expensive motel of our 9-day vacation but the 'worst' room of the trip. It was a hot day and the owner could have turned on the A/C prior to our arrival as the small 'window a/c unit' took hours to cool the room down (luckily we did have a great meal at the circle D eatery which gave the A/C time to at least start cooling the room). The room itself was small but clean enough for us and pretty dated but we expect that for $70 a night but not for $113!

This is a hotel and restaurant combination which makes eating convenient. The room was clean and comfortable and everything worked well. The bathroom and room itself are a bit dated and could use a refresh. The bed was very comfy as were the pillows and ultimately, one is looking for a good night's sleep and this hit the mark.

The hotel is old and needs some tender loving care. The security bar on the door is worthless as the screws only go onto the molding which wasn’t securely fastened to the wall. The person who checked us In was helpful. The door has a push button lock that uses the last four numbers of your phone number which was nice. There is a walk-in shower. There are few options in town and this will do.

I had a wonderful experience at the Circle D Motel. The accommodations are modest but clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating! Cody immediately made me feel welcomed. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and welcomed at this motel. The staff even helped me to set up a fire one evening and it was a wonderful way to relax with other travelers in the evening.

The front office and rooms have tons of information about things to do in the area. While I did not have a chance to dine at the restaurant next door, it is very convenient to have a place so close.

Do any of these motels/hotels accept pets?

We had our dog with us when we were there in late March, 2017. So they do accept pets in some rooms. It would be wise to check and reserve a room in advance if possible.

Definitely fly into LV . The drive from Las Vegas to St George is amazing, and if you take the southern route, you might be able to fit in visits to Bryce and/or Zion. Before you go, check the scenic routes, and plan your time accordingly. this is some of the most beautiful scenery you will ever encounter.
