We arrived to the campground during low season and late at night. The owner was super helpful in accomodating us even though the office was closed when we arrived. We pretty much had the whole campground to ourselves. The showers and bathroom are very clean. The water in the

Everything about your review is precisely what we love to see! Thank you for taking the time to share your very positive comments. We are extremely fortunate to be located in such a prime location and certainly enjoy sharing it with our guests. As far as the comfort and cleanliness, that is the result of continuous hard work by our staff. We wouldn't have it any other way. The cabin was very clean, warm and quiet. We had our own fire pit, picnic table, and porch glider, which were wonderful for spending the evenings with our friends who were staying in the RV lot. Our cabin also had a coffee maker and plenty of coffee, which we hadn’t expected but

We spent 2 nights here 12th and 13th October whilst touring Scenic Highway 12. We had a 2-bed cabin which was located very close to the road, so not the best location for a relaxing stay. The cabin itself was clean and quaint but the tin sink was not practical, and the heating

Had we known you were unhappy with the cabin being close to the road, we would have absolutely given you a different one, assuming another was available. Many of our visitors are perfectly happy with that cabin, but you weren't and that is certainly your prerogative. Please know that other cabins at our campsite are not as close to the road should you visit Escalante again. We have found that the heaters work quickly and effectively, usually needing only about thirty minutes to warm the cabins. Leaving the heat on prior to occupancy is very costly, so we do our best to be more energy efficient and monetarily aware. As business owners, I'm sure you understand, that is our job.

What would be considered a the season?
If you want to see things, some roads are closed because of snow into early May. Escalante is a bit cooler than some other places, it is near Bryce Canyon which is not as busy as other National Parks. So depending what you want to do...End of May-June or August into early September would be best for me. In Escalante the grocery stores close like 5 or 6 so keep that in mind.
