The Blonquist Motel is an outside-entry motel, with some rooms having a 4-step entry. Rooms have been newly remodeled (and are constantly kept up-to-date). Included amenities include a personal mini-fridge, satellite television, Wi-Fi, and BBQ facilities on-site. We are on Main Street in Coalville, where all town conveniences are within walking distance. Our staff is friendly and helpful, and our rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable.

Great little hotel in town. It's an old hotel but the rooms are remodeled. Refrigerator microwave cable TV and comfortable beds. A very cozy motel. The owners are very nice people. Convenience store and a subway within walking distance.

My niece, her son and I were traveling from Rhode Island to California. We were all tired of being in the car so we stopped at the Best Western. They were full so the desk clerk recommended this little gem of a place. We stayed in what I guess was considered the suite. It had 3 beds...one for each of us....no sharing like in other hotels we stayed in! The beds didn't feel like hotel or motel beds. I felt like I was in my own bed at home. We all slept better than we had during the entire trip. If I am ever in the area again, I will stay there and I would recommend this place to anyone traveling in the area.

Let's just say that this is an adorable hotel, however, being a city girl, I am NOT used to a small town country lifestyle. We stayed in the "suite' and the air conditioner wasn't adequate enough to cool the entire room, which was frustrating being that it was 100 degrees that day. Later that night, after a long day out, there were two HUGE hobo spiders (which I had never seen before - look it up - they're scary) which were brown and blended in with the shag carpet. When I tried to kill it, on the wall, with my shoe, it jumped out of my aim and hit the carpet. Then it was lost. Because of those spiders, my sister and I couldn't sleep and we were worried about my 5-year-old niece. We ended up leaving and staying somewhere else that night. When we told the owner the next morning, she said that she just had the placed sprayed. This is definitely NOT the fault of the hotel as they are taking proper measures. Just take note, it's a small town country hotel which might be perfectly fine for some people.

Hey, Danielle! Thanks for giving us your opinion; we're sorry that the spiders turned you off of our place, and if I remember correctly, that day was pretty crazy in terms of weather--it usually stays pretty far below that, and we had not been running the AC in there all day, so it got away from us. Again, thank you for being honest. Customers that give us their feedback immediately, like you did, are always appreciated. Safe travels--if you ever want to give us another try, we'll be right here! Safe travels.

This review is written months after our visit. We stayed in the suite which is attached to the owner's residence. The suite, which has a kitchen, is large, clean and comfortable. Not a downside, but guests should be aware that stairs are involved, so if they are elderly and/or have heavy luggage the stairs could be a challenge. The Blonquist Motel is at the end of an I80 exit at a T intersection with Coalville's Main Street. Very easy to find with an easy entrance to I80. I was concerned about being right on Main Street, but there is virtually no traffic on Main Street after dark, so noise is not a problem. The owners are very nice. There were a few negatives with our visit, but not bothersome enough to keep us from staying at Blonquist again. First, the bathroom sink is nestled between two walls which are very narrow. Fortunately, I'm not a large person, but I can see that my neighbor, sho is 6'3" and 200+ pounds would find using the sink very challenging. Next, pots and a pan are provided if left overs need to be warmed up. The pan, however, had some food residue stuck on to it. Dish liquid was provided, but I could not find a scrubber. Using a paper towel, I removed most of the residue, but some of it was really stuck to the non-stick pan. Lastly, hair dryers are not provided. I consider this to be a minor annoyance, as when my wife started traveling years ago no motel or hotel provided hair dryers and women had to bring a travel hair dryer with them. Travelers are spoiled now, as most motels nor provide hair dryers, but consider the Blonquist to be like motels were in the 1970's. All in all, I consider the Blonquist Motel to be a tremendous value, and more importantly clean. I would definitely stay here again.

This is one of the most thorough reviews we have ever received! Thanks for taking the time to detail your thoughts, and please feel welcome to come back any time. I absolutely agree that the bathroom in 11 is a little cramped, but we are lucky that it is the only room that has that downside. I will keep the hair dryer comment in mind, and we might change that in the future. Thanks again for staying with us; safe travels!

We stayed at Blonquist Motel for a night while we were in the area. This is an older motel but don't let that fool you, it was cleaner than many of the 5 start hotels I've stayed at in major cities. The staff is friendly and helpful and they take very good care of this little gem from that past. Great place to say if you're passing through the area.
