Ice and vending are in 2 of 4 buildings.
After leaving my room at 9am and returning after 4pm I was surprised that housekeeping had not been in the room.
Glad they fave me the 3 one use conditioners the day before
I don't mind if housekeeping doesn't come in every day as I always hang my towels up an reuse. I would have liked them to tell me that at check in.
Best part of the room was at least the bed was comfy.
My Bryce View Lodge room was on the second floor (in Building #2). The room was clean, had excellent wifi and TV, good beds, and was decent sized. The bathroom had a full size tub/shower, good water pressure, and plenty of hot water. The air conditioning worked great. There was a mini refrigerator and a small microwave. I liked being on the 2nd floor and having the balcony/walkway from which I could check out the surroundings. There is a pool guests can use but I did not check it out as I spent most of my time at Bryce Canyon National Park.
An unexpected benefit was that the Bryce View Lodge provides guests with vouchers for a free breakfast buffet at Ebenezer's Barn and Grill, located about 50 yards from the property. The buffet had eggs, breakfast meats, breads, fruits, cereals, coffee and juices. Ebenezer's is a large venue so there was always plenty of seating. The food was good, the buffet and coffee were kept stocked, and the buffet area and tables were kept clean.
I really liked the Bryce View Lodge's location, which was very close to Bryce Canyon National Park, has a stop for the free Park Shuttle, and is walking distance to a few restaurant choices, a general store, gas stations, and the other Ruby properties and the Best Western. The nearby stores allowed me to purchase snacks for my days exploring Bryce Canyon National Park. I also enjoyed browsing the gifts and merchandise at the general store and other lodging venues.
I prioritize lodging that is clean and insect free, well located, safe, comfortable and affordable. The Bryce View Lodge met all my requirements. Again, I highly recommend.
The room was very outdated. 2 Queen beds but one had suspicious looking hairs on top of the bedspread. Areas of the floor were "wet" and the bathroom door would not close. Walls and floors must be paper thin, as I heard everything that was going on next to us and above. Had the room reserved for 2 nights but left after 1. No help at the front desk, at Ruby's Resort with a refund.
Breakfast is included, but you have to fight the crowds across the street at the Ruby's Resort restaurant.
I would definitely look around before I stayed here. Place appeared full though, so maybe there aren't many options (and they probably know it) .
Best Western opposite good for breakfast. We stayed as a family of 4 on a road trip with teen kids in room next door. Didn’t feel that warm or secure. Poor standard of decor etc.
Bryce Canyon however, completely mind blowing! Awesome! I’d stay at the Best Western opposite next time.
Though things are a bit of a walk (I think you can call for a ride via golf cart) there are a few restaurants around you. Breakfast is provided in the morning and it was a solid offering, being that it is included in the price You get eggs, sausage, drinks, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, pastry, etc. It's enough fuel to get you ready for a hike.
There are a few touristy things in the vicinity like horse rides, gift shops, ice cream etc. There is one restaurant where you apparently need to book ahead, and they have live music. There is a sit down restaurant with a buffet and menu items. There is also a diner for fast take out with sandwiches, burgers and pizza. Pizza was not half bad as we got that on our way to Lake Powell.
Overall, the price (I think we paid around $80 all in) cannot be beat and the location is top shelf if you are heading into Bryce Canyon. As a side: I think we like Bryce better than Zion but I am still waffling on that.
Enjoy.
We spoke to one of the room cleaners who was really helpful and suggested we come back in an hour, we went for something to eat and returned at 1 oclock ish.
We then spoke to the receptionist and explained a member our our party was unwell and asked if just one was room available so she could rest, the receptionist Trisha was so unhelpful, saying no rooms available till 4pm , she was very frustrated and irrartated by our request, really poor customer service and felt let down.
There is a sign on the reception desk saying " kindness is beautiful" we decided to go around Bryce Canyon (which is stunning) and return at 4pm met by another lady who was really nice.
