Staff at front desk rude and less than helpful. You are greeted with old, dank and filthy green carpet. Mattresses not comfortable. Bathrooms not clean. Way too expensive for what you get. Pool is not available and not aware until we got there.

It was a fine room for maybe a night. Very dated and we were on the 2nd flood and the floor was leaning. Room was clean but again, very dated and old. Lots of bugs in the bathroom light fixture. Didn't get a chance to strop in the restaurant.

Hotel like Motel. Correct location if you have a car. Decent rooms and bedding. Unfortunately we were in the building part or there is a floor.
Wooden hotel, people above = very very noisy.
Note that the pool is always closed.

If you like being out of the typical crowded places to stay this one is for you. We had one of the cottages which is apart from the main hotel, and so private we never saw anyone though they were booked full. Felt safe and had the down to home feel. And the staff was so kind and helpful. We took advantage of their horse back riding and our wranglerette Rose was awesome. If you want a cowgirl who really enjoys what she does, cares about your experience, is so kind, and knows her stuff, she is the guide for you. And bonus...she knows how to back up a trailer. Will stay there again next time.

Absolutely amazing experience. Our wrangler Mike was so fun and very knowledgeable. This made our Utah Experience for sure. A must do for all!! Will be going back for sure:) We did the half day experience. I have been on many trail rides from Jamaica, Ramona, Pismo, & Hawaii and this ride by far was one of the best. The horses are beautiful and well cared for.

I recently thought I would try this motel. I booked a room on a Thursday evening. After reviewing possible vacation days at work I learned that the time I thought I was able
to take off would not be possible. The next evening - less than 24 hours later - I cancelled
my hotel reservation. The trip was 2 months in advance. The owner of the hotel
only refunded part of the charge for the hotel and kept $13.50 fee for a reservation that was not even 24 hours old. It made me realize how glad I am that I am not actually going to stay
at that hotel even if I was going on this trip. I have reserved at hotels around the world with people who do not even speak English and I have never been charged for canceling a reservation well in advance. Only at this "Bryce Canyon Pines" motel. Beware and stay away.

This place is not a resort, so don't be fooled by pretty websites or elaborate descriptions. this is just a basic hotel on the side of the highway. We were told they had wireless internet but our room was based so far from the office we never got a signal. The fireplaces need cleaning, evidence of heavy smoke from the fireplaces in the rooms kept us from even lighting one. The room was spacious, but the furniture was sparce. Our room didn't have a table or sitting space though it had ample room for one. The bathroom was not very clean, particularly the walls, not sure what was on them, but looked like possible bodily fluids. The bed was very clean, with a nice bedspread (down) and clean sheets. Part of the hotel is attached to a restaurant. We were based near the kitchen, so the room was often filled with the aroma of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our neighbors on the other side of the wall decided to check in late. We heard their conversations as they lay in bed talking in normal tones and watching TV on the other side of the wall. Overall, the place needs a makeover. The exterior of the building looks like it's falling apart, and the inside needs new carpet and a little more furniture. The rates were high considering the low quality of the place. The only real positive about it was that it was a few miles away from the circus in Bryce. We didn't have to wait in line for an hour for a meal or dodge pushy tourists. It doesn't have much of a view of anything except Powell Point, but the park is only five minutes away, and Red Canyon is five minutes in the other direction if you want a change of location for pictures, hiking, and sightseeing adventure.

We booked a queen cottage in this mixture of motel and RV park and this basically means a small log cabin round the back of the property with a porch and chairs which were great to sit on and watch the sun rise.
It was cold in Bryce so thankfully there was heating as the blankets were inadequate and the spare blanket full of dead insects so we piled coats on top of us instead. A lovely duvet would have been welcome and some decent coffee for the machine provided. The cabin was quaintly old fashioned with one queen bed in but the whole cabin was not as big as our smallest hotel rooms on our tour of Arizona and Utah and at $135 a night, pricey. The trouble is that accommodation is not plentiful in this area and it fills up quick. The pool was outdoor and definitely not inviting.
We had arrived from the awesome Zion Canyon to a chilly welcome from reception. We noticed in other reviews that reception staff didn't like you turning up early so we were bang on their advertised checking in time but still made to feel we had done something wrong by turning up at all. This staff member definitely needed training in courtesy and put us off using reception for anything else.
Bryce Canyon is one of our favourites to visit and we would dearly love to find somewhere really good and friendly to stay - recommendations please! To be fair to Bryce Canyon Pines it rates as much as a muchness with others we have stayed at as there's not too much accommodation around this area. We were limited too on eating places so tried the restaurant on site. You can't book so we waited half an hour for a very average meal at $60 for the two of us. Breakfast was $25.
This accommodation is about seven miles out of Bryce Canyon National Park so its location is fairly good on Scenic Byway 12.

I booked 2 rooms with them, and because of some reason, I have to cancel my reservation. I noticed there was a 10% non-refundable charge on my credit card, which is about $15. So when my time seems OK later, I think of booking again with them, use my previous 10% "credit" charged by them to make the same reservation. This time they ask me to provide credit card information again, so I asked "Can I just use that $15 charged by you previously to make new reservation?"
She didn't answer my question, but said "Give me your credit card information now, otherwise I cannot reserve for you."
Then I said, "Yes I will give you my credit card information, but before that, I just want to know how about the previous 10% charge, do I just pay the remaining 90% cost when I check in? And will you charge me another 10% right now?"
Again she didn't answer my question, but kept saying "I don't want to argue with you. You must give me a credit card to make the reservation; if you don't give me your credit card right now, I won't waste time with you, I have other customers waiting for me"
So ridiculous! Who is arguing with her! I just want to be clear about what will going on after I provide my credit card information, and how about the previously charged $15? And she thought explaining to me is a waste of time! I really feel uncomfortable about how they treat their customers!
I am always in a good manner, and this is the first time I write a 1-star review. It's the worst experience I've encountered for reserving rooms. I would rather lose my $15 deposit than contacting them again!

I concur with the other answers.
We stayed at the campground only and it was pet friendly.
